It eventually had some facts revealed around it viz: the man had an altercation with his girlfriend (the second victim) at the lady's residence and perhaps accidentally killed her. The neighbours testified to hearing the altercation. Later the man carried the body and stopped by his own residence to drop a note for his wife where he indicated that "he had done something terrible" (the note was seen). Then he drove himself and the corpse to the location where he took the sniper (the bottle was also found in the car).

Of course, more than just theorising is needed in these cases and an autopsy would have been the best to rule out or rule in homicide - fight marks, toxicology, CO poisoning ( which would produce a bright red coloured blood called carboxyhemoglobin as agains the dark blue of methemoglobin), Presence of semen in/on the lady's privates amongst other clues. But as we all know, autopsies aren't a strong forte of the Nigerian police. Pray not to be found near a crime scene because the Nigerian Police will not investigate to even rule out your involvement.

But you should also know that exhaust fumes from a new car or a car with a good engine is colourless because it does not produce soot.
In both cases, carbon monoxide is one of the components and is present all the time.

He’s right. Read the car manual (I have) of any powerful car. Drivers are advised not to keep the car stationary with engine running, and glasses wound up. This is because the exhaust get sucked into the car through vents, which can prove injurious to the car occupants. This is especially more dangerous with suvs that usually carry bigger capacity engines. Very dangerous when stationary!

You are a daft man with courage. Is someone driving static? A stationary car is not same with a moving one even in traffic. A stationary car absorbs more CO2 and also does not have enough room to take in more oxygen. Also basic science should tell u that when fucking u need more energy and thus more oxygen, both were absent in this case i. e less oxygen when the two bodies needed more hence suffocation is imminent.
