Problems
1. Both parties can't merge
2. A new party can't be formed

Solution
1. One candidate leaves his party and joins the other party

Problem from Solution
1. Peter Obi is poster boy for LP will he leave LP for NNPP?

2. It is difficult for Kwankwaso to leave NNPP for LP because

i. His party has strong candidates especially in the Northwest and it will be tedious for them to move to Labor with him
ii. Will candidates under LP be willing to forgo their candidacy for NNPP candidates or will NNPP candidates be willing to forgo their candidacy for LP candidates?

Solution to problems from Solution
Kwankwaso leaves alone to LP and abandon his candidates in NNPP but this will be the worst political move ever

They can only collaborate for the presidential election or Peter Obi can abandon Labour Party and join NNPP since he and his supporters are only interested in the presidency and don’t care about other positions.

If they just want to collaborate and Obi is the presidential candidate, it is better they contest on the platform of Labour. Kwakwanso will remain in NNPP but will be the vice presidential candidate of Labour Party. It was the same arrangement that was made in 1999 when Olu Falae contested on the platform of APP and still remain a member of AD.

If Kwakwanso is the presidential candidate, then it is better for Peter Obi to just abandon Labour Party completely and move to NNPP. He has no interest in the other candidates of the party so it shouldn’t be too difficult for him to abandon the party.

Same Lagos landlord that made Lagos a city hub that Igbos flee to in numbers? Abeg, we want that landlord to make Nigeria a better place too.
grin grin grin grin the point is you are not getting it you think Tinubu develop Lagos. I just laughed most times at you guys. You can do more than what you think Tinubu did in Lagos if you are elected(outside being currupt)now look at that Lagos and ask yourself ist how you would have wanted it to be if you are giving the chance. With the kind of money coming into Lagos it's meant to develop on it own.so now uptill today Tinubu still decide who rule Lagos that's the worst kind of curruption it's just like the cabals in Abuja who decides who rules nigeria that's very bad. That's why at this point we look at someone less currupt to change things. I would have preferred osibanjo to Lagos landlord. But as it is today I will go for Peter Obi

I doubt the INEC will be an issue... Merger won't affect any of the mentioned above.. Both parties have their legal adviser and they must have studied the terms and conditions of INEC so I don't think this will deter the merger

Merging the two parties to become one is no longer possible if they intend to contest in 2023. They will have to agree to either contest on the platform of LP or NNPP.

Atiku,Obi,Kwankazo are all in pdp in 2019 and they were defeated. now they are devided to 3 parties and you people still thinking of winning Apc that have more governors than 2019 with stronger united committee's machinery. they will win with the biggest margin in history. even if they field dead abacha as there presidential aspirant.

Who developed Lagos then? You did know that Obasanjo withheld Lagos revenue for 8 years yet Tinubu found a way and created the Lagos it is today. Even Obasanjo said it in his book that the best politician out there was Tinubu and not him.

Where does that leave NNPP candidates?

I don't see this as a problem.

Kwankwaso can easily talk to his supporters to move to LP. When Rochas won the governorship election under APGA, we defected to APC and carried his supporters with him, Dave of Ebonyi state did the same thing, he went to APC with his supporters.

Kwankwaso is highly respected in the North, he can talk to all his supporters and aspirants to defect to LP and support his vision.

It's not an issue, cos we've seen it play out so many times.

And how exactly will this work? You mean Senator Shekarau, Hon. Abdulmumin Jubril and the governorship candidate of NNPP in Kano should all abandon their aspirations and move to LP so that Kwakwanso can get the VP ticket? How does this make sense to you?

If you put a white man in Lagos today or a Chinese in government of lagos today in 2years you will round all the governors that have ruled Lagos and burn them. We are celebrating what is left after curruption have done its job. Sit down and ask why is everyone going to Lagos. Remove that reason and see that Lagos is like every other state.

Labour party must not be touched because it's the NLC party. So forget a merger unless they would retain the name Labour Party. Kwankwaso can't leave his ppl that is not how a leader behaves. I highly doubt the merger.

Where does that leave NNPP candidates?

He can leave NNPP legally while his spirit and body remains in the party. He will be the vice presidential candidate of Labour but will campaign and work for the candidates of NNPP for other elections.

To be honest, it won’t be easy considering the fact that the presidential and National Assembly election will take place the same day and NNPP has very serious senate and HoR candidates.

If the SE had studied the new electoral law very well, they would have quickly accepted Atiku's one term proposal with obi deputising him again, that ticket would have been explosive, then gradually they would work for a SE presidency from there, but pride, lack of foresight n disunity pushed them to shoot themselves in the foot,

Tinubu made Lagos into what it is today. Increased its revenue to billions today, created infrastructures and improved the standard of living as well as abundance of world class hubs in Lagos such as Eko Atlantic, Lagos Island etc.
