hi everyone,

please I need assistance

The list of requirements from the swiss embassy in Abuja for study applicants includes a financial guarantee form from parents/sponsors for student visa applicants.
Do I really need to provide the bank statements or payroll of the father and mother or sponsor in general, since I already have my bank statement showing that the required money is in my own personal account?

1. Yes, you need 21k CHF or more in a swiss account in your name..
2. Accomodation price can range from 450 CHF upwards (shared apartment called WG)
3. If the embassy wants IELTS, submit it and the visa process takes at least 6 weeks. You need to exercise some patience

Oh ok thank you very much. I was just a bit confused because on like other schools website that state the money must be in a swiss account. the university of basel on their website just asked for statement of account in applicant name. I did not see anything the about a swiss account.

Maybe it differs from University to university.

Okay. good luck. You can try with Nigerian bank but take note that the swiss embassy, Abuja is not responsible for making decision. They only collect your documents and send it to the canton where you would live in Switzerland then the canton makes a decision. If its a positive decision, you then go to the embassy for the visa.

The only way for you to survive in Switzerland is to go into production, especially agriculture, try it, poultry ,eggs and beef , milk cheese, the government will worship you , the incentives are greater when you farm eco friendly

For those looking to come here. I'll suggest you apply to a school in German where it is much cheaper. Learn German as you study and apply for a job in Switzerland (they have the highest salary in Europe i think). Studying in Switzerland is not cheap, neither is the cost of living. It's almost 3times the cost in Germany. Also, the German is Swiss German, plus they rarely entertain English since they have 4 official languages.
