The old man should be disqualified. He's a disaster that should never be allowed to happen to Nigeria. All hands must be on desk to stop him from becoming the president.

It is deck not desk. Whenever you want to troll or castigate, and or disqualify and ratify people always use the words you know. So your points on this case is voided. You are a mediocre! Meanwhile, Tinubu will still win. Maybe when know what killed Obis dad and why his brother is in jail or why Atiku was indicted by the Jefferson’s corruption case(proven) then, there will be a discourse!

That case has nothing to do with his political career. The reason is because NIGERIA is a failed state. Even a criminal or kidnapper can come and contest for the presidency, people with forged certificate, people who don't owe Nigerians interviews and debates. People who beleive NIGERIA is turn by turn etc. That's why we need to change a lot in this CORN TREE. A vote for PETER OBI is a honest vote for a better NIGERIA. Think twice my people.

And Peter Obi(former chairman of a bank) that carried .....
N250m cash in the boot of a car and drove from.....
East to Lagos is a honest man..... cheesy grin angry

WHAT THE LAW SAYS

Section 137, subsection 1(d) of the 1999 constitution as amended states, “A person shall not be qualified for election to the office of President if – he is under a sentence of death imposed by any competent court of law or tribunal in Nigeria or a sentence of imprisonment or fine for any offence involving dishonesty or fraud (by whatever name called) or for any other offence, imposed on him by any court or tribunal or substituted by a competent authority for any other sentence imposed on him by such a court or tribunal.”

forfeiture - meaning

the loss or giving up of something as a penalty for wrongdoing.

It is clearly stated that Tinubu is unqualified to run for President. INEC should do the needful. It is illegal for Tinubu to run for President.

Case dismiss.

Does that not amount to the offence of receiving and illegally warehousing the proceeds of a crime aka money laundering?

Is that not a crime on its own? So what are you saying?

In essence, Tinubu should be extradited to the US to answer to this drug deals case and clear his name.

Case has been closed

But let assume Tinubu wanted to run for a political position in America, will he be able to do so? Never

But in Nigeria, he will be able to contest

In a saner country, he would be contesting for the president of his wing in prison, but in a country ruled by demon possessed leaders, expect him to be compared to Abraham Lincoln and Christopher Columbus.

And this is the person I share same country with!

Tinubu was not caught with drugs or drug money… his account was caught with drugs and about half a million dollars belonging to a drug baron.

I hope you are okay with that now.

You sounded so dumb with this your post that you made an inmate at an asylum sound like an Einstein!

What was drug money doing in his account? Is it because he is innocent of drug trafficking?

Will drug money be in your account if you don't push drug or associate with those who do?

If I offer legitimate services to you and you pay me with drug money, I will contest the case in court.

Then ask yourself why Tinubu didn't contest the forfeiture in court? Because he knows he is guilty and would rather want the case to die down?

I weep for this country. Here anything is allowed. Anyone can be in power. Ibori was discharged and aquatinted here but was jailed abroad. Ekweremadu was not even tried here but was jailed abroad and the Senate had the guts to profer that delegates be sent to him and the government hire him a lawyer. Now Tinubu who was accused convicted of drug trafficking is been drummed to Aso rock to be the number one citizen of this country. What a country indeed

The main question is what does the law say.

Section 137, subsection 1(d) of the 1999 constitution as amended states, “A person shall not be qualified for election to the office of President if -

It is illegal for Tinubu to run for president. There is no spin. A competent court found him guilty of wrong doing.

And all that billions upon billions spent go to waste, APC government will never watch their presidential candidate go down like that and I don't think judiciary has the balls to do the needful.

That choice is left to Nigerians to decide and I hope Nigerians decides wisely. Anybody but Tinubu.....

In a normal country that it's judicial system is working someone like tinubu should be in jail because with such case he is a corrupt person already an he doesn't deserve to contest for any position in Nigeria no to talk of a high esteem position like president of a Nation but because buhari his co-corrupt man attain the position through corruption that is why he had the audacity to contest without fear of anything. A finish Nation

Understand the point. The case file shows forfeiture, which disqualifies Tinubu.

Section 137, subsection 1(d) of the 1999 constitution as amended states, “A person shall not be qualified for election to the office of President if -
