Before any comments, we should ask ourselves. What is the population of Nigeria compared to the countries listed. Don't forget Nigeria is the 7th most populated Nation of the planet earth. We are the biggest market in the black world. No Western Nation will pray for our growth and development, otherwise where will they sell their products. Secondly, allowing Nigeria to grow will create a super power in a black Nation. Our population rises astronomically yearly while our gross domestic products remain stagnant. That means our level of production is far below Number of children we bring to life yearly 1 Like |

kabukabu50:We should blame ourselves because leadership is a reflection of upbringing from individual families . So many families believe that their offspring must be rich at all cost regardless of the source. Funds that can provide for enabling business environment had been budgeted and released in the past but the money is either mismanaged or outrightly embezzled. 90% of businesses and companies across Europe are owned by individuals (creating jobs) . But in Nigeria we always wanted government to create everything especially for free |

DamnnNiggarr: This right here is one of the reasons for the high unemployment rate - unemployability (a.k.a School na scam syndrome) If you took out time to learn about the economic term "unemployment", you would have learnt that it is calculated based on the working-age population not the total population. Out of circa 220m people, Nigeria has a working-age population of just about 118m. This working-age population are people between ages 15 and 64yrs currently about 53.7% of the total population. https://www.statista.com/statistics/382296/age-structure-in-nigeria/ For your personal development, below are various ways of calculating Unemployment. 1. Percentage of employed individuals = Number of people working / Working-age population x 100. 2. Total percentage of unemployed = Unemployed individuals / Working-age population x 100. 3. Unemployment rate = Total number unemployed / Total number in labor force x 100. Cheers. 1 Like 1 Share |

luvinhubby: Did you consider other factor? You want to act smart but it shows you are just doing everything to act like a typical Nigerian... Did you consider in 1999, Nigeria population is one hundred and something million, aside population, we have world pandemic now which affects economy all over the world besides those things weren't happening in 1999, now let's jump to 2014, more like everything is more peaceful over the world compare to now... We as Nigerian are not even helping matters like most youths nowadays leave their craft and join yahoo for quick money... We don't have that much greed for money before now...both men are women and lots of things that comes into play. Unless you weren't honest with yourself... Besides... Government can only create jobs which is open people who are interested in government work... Rest of it is left for you... Government won't come to give you jobs... Bottom line if you want to even blame government for job, blame each states government not the FG it's non of FG business. Even despite the law signed now that each state should build the FG roads and will be paid in full just like PH and even the electricity... How many state government have been working towards that...? Maybe only Lagos and even the same Lagos is not even trying at all compare to how big economy it is... So blame the state government not the FG. Everything happening in Nigeria we all should FG without stating the state government, house of reps, local government chairman and so on who are closer to the people but we always shout FG... Is that not misplaced priority? |
