@Op, there is a question someone asked which you didnt clear very well. like how many pages can one write that is okay for amazon to accep? What of the spacing issues; is it double spacing or just how you write a normal book?

Also how do you determine the price to sell the books or is it done by amazon?

pls throw more lights on all these. thanks

1- The smallest book I have is about 3500 words.I aim for 5000 words and above.5K words will give u about 30 pages when converted to Kindle format. The pages will be much less in MS word.Tip check d size of d best books in or target niche.
2. Use normal spacing but leave one line between d paragraphs.
3.To determing pricing - check d average price of books in or niche.
Hope this helps.

Although I left IM year's back, but this worth giving a shot considering the fact that it runs on an auto-pilot and you only do the hard work at the scratch. I think in the long-run it would definitely worth it, amidst my busy schedules and tied hands, will definitely look into it. Btw, thank you a million @ OP, bigger you in Jesus name, amen.

Page bookmarked.

Sure bro.
wink. Well, I don't think I will be coming back IM anytime soon. I need that cash as quick as possible and IM don't do it for me like I would want it to.

But I must agree that Amazon kindle works if you focus on it.

am kind of finding it quite easy once you can lay down the proper foundation of getting a niche area to write on...

Also one does not necessary need to use his real name, you can use alias for books that is outside your area of expertise...

DO NOT USE YOUR REAL NAME.
I had to put dat in caps so no one will miss it. USA is d main market for kindle n dey will rather by a book by someone dey assume is one of their own. Amazon allows you to use as many pen names as u want. Imagine a book on summer tips with a naija name as d author.I have seen a couple of books like dat n dey are not selling.I have become an expert in creating American names smiley

Its better on how you laid it out for people to know...

As a result of the motivation I got here....
I just published a short kindle book now on amazon hoping to publish more this week for just 1.99 using an alias name... Am not expecting it to sell... I just wanted to have a feel of it so that it will be come easier publishing the next one which I know will be better than this one.

Also can u talk a bit more about the lending part of the book on amazon...

Do you use it and if so...
How do you make effective good use of it...

I already at least understand the research part of it in getting to write about what's selling...

Hoping to hear from you soon...

And also those of you that wants to start publishing... Never wait for the right time to perfect everything... Just publish the ones that you have but make sure you edit it... Once you do that
The next one will become easier and you will begin to learn more info as you publish....

Congrats for taking action. I want more people like you.
Now to d lending. It's call KDP select program. When u want to upload ur book, d 1st thing u'll see is d option to enrol in kdp select.
I advice u enroll all ur books. Amazon Prime members will b able to borrow ur book free within d 3 months enrollment period. At d end of each month, a particular amount is shared among all d borrowed books. dis can sometimes b up to $2 per borrow.I've had books dat got more dan 40 borrows in one month.dats extra $80.
for November $1.1million has been set aside for dis.
The KDP select program also gives you 5 days of free promotion for ur book every 3 months. dis helps u to get more sales.Phew!don't like long typing on mobile.

am trying to have at least 5 or more short kindle books published this month...
Already working on the second one now which kind of came as a result of the findings on the first book I uploaded...

Want to ask, when listing your book, do you choose the worldwide option or select the country that you want your books to be displayed in...
For me I choose worldwide when I was uploading my short book....

For now, there are only USA, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Japan, India, Canada, Brazil and Mexico. There is no Chinese marketplace yet. The Spanish market is negligible for now.

Choose worldwide. You can't say where your books will sell. I have sold books as far away as Japan. I regularly get payments from the German marketplace and my books are in English.

@onlineresource, how did you go with the ecover for your new kindle book? Did u design it yourself or someone did?
This si what is keeping me from this right now. But working on that.

@mk82, Hvae you thought of listing your kindle ebooks on other platforms just like Amazon? That would increase your sales.

When I publish, I am not going to enroll on KPD Select program cos I will like to simultaneously list my ebooks on up to 4 platforms
as I feel this will mean more greens.grin

I thought about other platforms but from what I heard from people ahead of me, nothing compares to KDP. Amazon is d biggest online marketplace in the world. You are likely to make more money from ur borrowed books than you'll make on the other platforms. Additionally, nobody can give the flexibility Amazon gives. Smashwords is an alternative dat helps u to publish on several platforms at the same time.
