I remember my first visit to the bank to discuss business. It was a total flop! My appearance was nothing to write home about. I was putting on a long sleeve shirt with a jean trouser, didn't tuck in the shirt, and a palm slipper. How coporate I was! I actually wanted to see the marketing manager, but ended up seeing the Customer care service representative. After an introduction of my company and what she does, the Customer care representative simply told me their bank already has a similar platform and it would be a compromise if they accept my proposal. I went back not knowing how I got home. Feeling rejected is one feeling that can totally de-moralise anybody.
But I wasn't banking on giving up! Infact, giving up was not an option. I got home, consulted my friends and associates and came up with another plan! Not before I was tongue lashed for my initial mess of course!

Please I need all those who have purchased the dvd to give their reports and testimonies on it. How do you find the video tutorial?

Let me give an example of analysis you need to do before going into any business. I will be using the poultry business as our case study

1. First of all, don't go into the business without knowledge. Do your research. Check your reason for going into this business carefully... Don't make the mistake of saying, "its just a poultry!"
- if you do not have passion for poultry, stay away from it. It would really be good, if you did a little study on poultry business. The knowledge from looking after fowl or hen in the village is not enough for modern day poultry business!

Always, always do a business plan, even for one bird!

2. Before you buy the first chick, assess the market for eggs, and related products:
- how much does an egg sell for?
- who will you sell to?
- who will you compete against?
- what can you do with the eggs to make more money; would it be better to do more with the eggs, rather than simply sell eggs?

3.What is the best type of chick for your environment to get the most eggs?
- how many eggs can it produce, and for how long?

4. What will it cost to keep each hen producing at maximum capacity?
- assess all costs: food, healthcare, security, maintenance, transport, marketing of your eggs, storage etc.... Every single cost!

5. Can the price of eggs, at the level you are producing it, give you enough return, which cover the cost of each hen, its replacement, and also increase the number of hen?

6. How are you going to manage this "mini poultry business"?
- what do the people know about hens. This is serious business, don't just look for an unemployed cousin.....Ask those abroad, who lost their savings by getting an unemployed cousin in nigeria to take care of business for them!

7.How much are you really going to make... And here I am NOT talking about sales ( revenue)!

Everything, I have said about this "Hen" business, applies for anything you go into. Make it a discipline. Even now, do it with the business that you are in!

Always do a business plan, even for one chick!
