In all my dealings it's hard for me to complain about any of them here; but this one is just way too much... If he likes let him enjoy my money cos I'm a man of too little words. I usually don't respond to certain issues concerning shippers here but I have to in this case to clarify some things. Prior to this issue with battery goods, by virtue of what I do, I have tablets and phone come into Lagos, almost everyday so I have a good insight into how things work there.

Presently, shipping of items like tablets and phones is a matter of trial and error. Don't believe anyone who tells you otherwise.

If the goods are discovered by Chinese customs, they would be seized and the shipper required to pay a fine of up to $100.
Some have even increased express charge for phones and tablet to $10/kg and in the face of the present situation, that is not entirely surprising.

The payment of the fine is usually transferred to the client. After all when you ship through DHL and Nigerian Customs impound is it DHL that pays to get your goods released?

I would kindly advise that rather than cast aspersions on the character of any shipper, state both sides of the story honestly with valid proof.


Granted that we pay them for services rendered, these guys go through an awful lot to help us send goods from China to Nigeria.

That said, I don't hold forte for any shipper.

That was what i was charged when i made use of his express exactly 24hrs

I patiently went through the 38 pages of this thread just to find out if I can get a firm recommendation of a reliable agent, but I am sorry

to say that most of my time was wasted in vain.

The best thing would have been for members to recommend the most reliable agents so that intending importers would not go through the pains
some people had passed through.

It also implies that there is a BIG opportunity for any honest Nigerian businessman to make money for his company due to these agents
numerous short comings. The watchword here is HONEST. Thanks
