They don't judge witchcraft cases in court undecided

Of course they don't because there is no such thing. What they judge is the ignorant fools who accuse innocent children of something that educated people stopped believing in hundreds of years ago!

Good move. Some other states need such courts too. Too much nonsense making the rounds all in the name of spirituality

with all due respect Sir. You have NEVER experienced it that's why you feel so. I know of a family that was doing fine but when they brougt a girl from the village to come stay with them, things turned upside down for them. Until the days she confessed.

Note that no one accussed her of witchcraft prior to that scene. However, I can remember vividly that whenever we gather around to pray, we close our eyes and the moment we open our eyes, she(the witch) wont be in our midst. This happened like 3 times.

Again, one of my bros would call her a witch. He didn't even know she was a witch. He would kick her and ask her to get out of his sight. Anytime she saw him, she would run far away.

All these happened until the day she confessed. But sadly, that family never rised above that level.

Bros, just don't wish to encounter such. Please. Just because you never saw it does not mean it's not out there.

I'm from IMO. there are no child witches Anywhere in the world. Societies that have given up such ludicrous beliefs are now better for it. All accusations are false and all voluntary confessions are results of hallucinations. Children have wild imaginations. I did too as a child.
It breaks my heart every time "educated" ppl try too hard to pass superstition as reality.

Naija going backward since 2000BC! They are supposed to be setting up courts to try adults and parents that abuse and accuse children-minors of witchcraft!!

I understand and I didnt delibrately label anyone a witch. But when you put the puzzles together you get a full picture.

We were kids and trust me... Before hand no one accussed her of being a witch.

We played together in those days buy she was much older than I.

How do you explain the following.

There used to be some born again brothers who would come and preach and they will ask us all to close our eyes and pray. By the time we open our eyes, she wouldn't be among us. This happened like 3 times.

My bros who often played with us in the neighborhood just never liked that girl for reasons I can't explain. He often called her a witch. After first encounter she dare not come close to him as she was always avoiding him.

In their compound there were dogs living upstairs and each time they see this girl, they often barked endlessly.

Things became rough for the family such that their father close his big pharmacy stor, their mother lost customers and close her booming fashion shop.

They started selling food in front of their compound.

All these were happening without anyone accussing the girl of being a witch aside my bro who didn't even stay in the same apartment with them.

Until the day a group of men came from a penticostal church, mind you, this family were fully Catholics at that time and there was no way they would have invited those men but the men came directly to their house.

And prayers started... Na so the girl begin confess. Nobody beat her or hit but it just happened. When you collate the other events mentioned above, you have no reason not to believe its true.

Plus, they are from your state and it happened over 2 decades ago.

Ma'am... You have no reason to believe because seeing is believing. I saw this thing happen and not you. Therefore, there is no way we will agree on same subject.

So this girl wandered off (disappeared) while your eyes were closed?
Oh and some dogs did not like her!

So this is scientific proof of witchcraft and impossible things??

SIGH! NO SUCH THING AS WITCHCRAFT/JUJU/MAGIC etc!

she found praying a boring exercise. Everyone can't be the same

My bros who often played with us in the neighborhood just never liked that girl for reasons I can't explain. He often called her a witch. After first encounter she dare not come close to him as she was always avoiding him.

she avoided him because he bullied her .

In their compound there were dogs living upstairs and each time they see this girl, they often barked endlessly.

lmao. They only bark at her? Even then,it could be she's mean to them or whatever. Dogs can instinctively sense pp who dislike them. That doesn't make her a witch.

Things became rough for the family such that their father close his big pharmacy stor, their mother lost customers and close her booming fashion shop. really? Really? And this is her faults because? Or I forgot she's a witch. undecided well I'm aware we live in a society where things don't just happen. It has to be the fault of someone or something spiritual. So I'm not surprised she's the primary suspect here.

They started selling food in front of their compound.

All these were happening without anyone accussing the girl of being a witch aside my bro who didn't even stay in the same apartment with
them

.hey. But your bro was already calling her a witch.

Until the day a group of men came from a penticostal church, mind you, this family were fully Catholics at that time and there was no way they would have invited those men but the men came directly to their house.

the spirit lead them. Yea right.

And prayers started... Na so the girl begin confess. Nobody beat her or hit but it just happened. When you collate the other events mentioned above, you have no reason not to believe its true.

her mind had already been messed up. Trust me your bro wasn't the first to treat her differently or call her a witch. She was probably a weird kid.

Plus, they are from your state and it happened over 2 decades ago.

Ma'am... You have no reason to believe because seeing is believing. I saw this thing happen and not you. Therefore, there is no way we will agree on same subject

you're right. There is no way we will agree on this subject..

Have not experienced things? In travelling the world Ihave seen MANY strange things. ALL explainable by science. If I don't have enough data or enough knowledge in the particular field I do not start to cry witchcraft! Humanity has discovered that majic etc does not exist!

sorry. Your life and mine are 2 different things. I never experienced such in my family but there are certain thing you see and wonder. I doubt you are a christian anyway or believe in anything except science. But World Renowned neurosurgeon in person of Benjamin Carson, despite his vast knowledge in medicine, even claim in his book the existence of God and supernatural powers.

I do not occupy mind with idea that witches are after me or my progress in life because that alone is burden but I wont negate the fact they don't exist.

Are you aware that there are certain things scrience has no explanation for? Keep depending on it.

Actually I am a Christian AND a Scientist (at least in my former career). It is not JUST science that stops me believing in the nonsense of Witchcraft, Juju, Magic, Mami Waters etc it is ALSO my belief in Christianity!

But as religion is essentially non proveable EITHER way (hence the reason we have FAITH) I cannot argue conclusively against magic etc from a religious point of view. I have to rely on Science. One day very soon Nigeria will have a developed enough educational system to eradicate this negative nonsense and ignorance from what is otherwise a wonderful and laudable culture.

yes. Gradually we will get there.

Let me ask. Have you seen a white man or woman play Oracle and it come to pass?

I know you won't believe this and If I even told you I have seen a white woman play Oracle with card, the one that has king and queen, you won't believe as well.

Well... I can't tell you what to believe though.

Of course I have. If you understand science and how people and the world work it is easy to make predictions. Also if you make enough vague and random predictions some will come true by pure chance. Also these 'fortune tellers' (read charlatans) are expert at what is called 'blank readings'. I will leave you to do some basic research on it.

You are not seriously telling us that the most intelligent people in the world over the last few hundred years have got it all wrong and the poor superstitious ones are actually right. The world would be back in the dark ages living in mud huts and believing in juju!

It is not a matter of irrelevant belief but science! Eve in the developed world so few people properly understand science which is why we still have some of our own ignorant superstitions even today although thankfully they are dying out.

Oh and I have seen all that Tarot and card reading rubbish. Most 14 year olds here can devise simple tests that these fools fail constantly.

Akwa Ibom state government is a disgrace. Family court to tackle child witchcraft my foot.
Has governor set up a COURT to tackle the unprecedented level of poverty in the state even when the state receives the highest from fed account?
AKWA Ibom needs a COURT to tackle the stealing of state money.
AKWA IBOM NEEDS CULT COURT TO TACKLE THE EFFECTS OF CULT GROUPS IN HIS GOVERNMENT
He should set Financial court to tackle embezzlement of state's money by him ,wife, and members of his family.
He should set up the court to tackle the issues of kidnapping and killing of Akwa Ibom people in the state from 2007 to date.
Akwa Ibom needs a sport court to tackle the fraud associated with the building of the stadium and to also determine how much of that money was earmarked for politics of imposition and the portion he took for his use.
Akwa IBOM needs a court to also determine how much Akwa Ibom people spent to bribe the judges to keep Akpabio in power.
They need a court to ascertain our outstanding debt before he hands over to another person
Akwa Ibom needs a political court to to tackle political intolerance of the governor e.g the molestation of a serving senator in Essien Udim LGA,the killing of Engr Ukpanah this year
