This is a right move.

Is he still the speaker of the House? NO

He got Speaker's post because PDP was and is still the majority in the House. Now that he has pitched his tent with APC which has minority in the House, the right thing to do is to relinquish his position immediately he decamped.

I don't know why some people want to create unnecessary attention.

Tambuwal withdrew his own court suit which tells me he was sensing defeat but will not do the responsible thing and resign.

He should be held responsible for whatever fracas happens today at the assembly

Tambuwal is holding an institution he was elected to protect to ransomn and that's very irresponsible and the APC that calls itself progressive but can't respect simple laws should bury their heads in shame!

Don't be naïve..can a whole detachment of DSS operatives be dispatched to the HOR with the C-in-C being oblivious of it? I don't think you people know how powerful a President is.

So the President is powerful?

If the LP member of House in Ondo state looses his seat because of defection (Just because LP was not divided as at the time of taking the decision) then Tambuwal is no more a member and cannot be speaker.

He should have moved with the 5 governors and hide under NPDP but all of those is over now and if he cannot prove that Sokoto PDP is divided as at the date he formally defected, then he should step aside.

Why are PDPs afraid, if they have the numbers as they claim let them impeach the Speaker rather than drag the whole nation down with them. Nigerians this is the time we all have to come together to defend our hard fought democracy. Most of the current players did not participate in the fight to enthrone democracy and therefore do not know how t handle simple democratic issues.
defend what? i don't know you

Some of you re blind to know and stand by truth. The power to remove tambuwa lies with the menbers and the court not with sss , police and army. He is not the first person that defected and if this pains them so much let them go and die. The court says maintain staus quo and so shall it be. Intimidation will only result to anarchy. Just before you support blindly understand who is to be blamed otherwise u will be consumed by a trouble u blindly supported

Anybody that comes here to castigate one party and hail the other is the most pathetic phool on earth.
How long is it going to take us to realize that, whether PDP, APC, and other, all of them are the same thieves.
WTF is wrong with our youths? Can't we reason again?

LAST BULLET.

GEJ should sack whoever advised him to pull this stunt; in fact, he might be a nice man, but he has the most conglomerate of foooools advising him.

But the painful irony here is that the clueless president and his cohorts could not face a real hooligan when one dares them. Remember how Tompolo made the Coward-In-Chief to cancel an important official event that he was billed to attend last week?

Which court says maintain status quo?

The court asked for status quo to be maintained until the substantive suit is determined! Well the substantive suit has been thrown out because Tambuwal has withdrawn his own case and hence all pronouncement by this court is void!

APC are filled with bush people I tell you, they have no appreciation of how the law works!
