Judging with what have been going on in our dear country these past few months, I was discussing with some colleagues yesterday, and the hallmark of our discuss was that, soon, very soon, we are going to witness a revolution in this country or a dangerous break-up...
What do you think too?

The only reason Nigeria will not cease to exist in 2015 is if the military takes over on a stabilising mission.

Again it doesnot make sense for them to take over and after a year hand over to these set of politicians.

They should ensure that all exit routes in Nigeria and airports are shutdown.

Gather all of them in national assembly for peace and reconcilliation talk and release Hitlers gas inside there.

We need a new Nigeria and the present crop of APC AND PDP leaders are no where near the Nigerian dream

Division will not stop discrimination, corruption, poverty, illiteracy, terrorism.
Division will not automatically leades to more roads, new railway lines, pipe borne water, more megawat of electricity, more access to the internet etc.
division will not leads to industrialization, increaee in living standard of the people, more jobs, more technology transfers.

staying together in a large diverse Nigeria with large market for industrial productivity, cheap labour etc. will be more advantageous for us.
The diverse nature of our natural resources should be a great advantage for Nigeria to developed a solid economy that will prove to the world that dark skin doesn't equates stupidity.

We just too stupid in this country to see the opportunities around. we are just too naive ignorant to see how important education, secularism, good governers and a society should be run.
We allow ourself to be blind by some imported ideology from middle east ( christianity and islam), arbitrary division ( North and south).

The bottom line is we can not dedeveloped with these mentality, system of government, education and our conservative religious believe...division will cause more problem, we have problem with state creatio already

I would say remove corruption and poor leadership in Nigeria and 80% of Nigeria's problems are solved. Our leaders don't want to lead, they want to steal.

When you concentrate power so much in one person and in one place, ultimately there would be struggle for power, corruption and bad leadership.

Decentralize power today and let power move closer to the people, and you will see tremendous changes in our body polity.

Some regions will simply secede with nothing but a resounding declaration (south south and southeast) while some will out of sheer cowardice still be singing the National anthem.

The bloodshed will be in the middle belt and Christian north.

Nigeria is destined for Balkanization and war if those same intolerant religious and Arab supremacists dont change their ways.

I agree power should go to the people, our leaders are far too incompetent and greedy to know what to do with power. Why are they even our leaders, they don't know how to lead.

Also we shouldn't heap the whole blame on our leaders, my people. We, ourselves should take some blames. Religion Intolerance, Ethnic discrimination is rife amongst the ordinary citizens. All we need is how to correct the wrongs and put things right. All boil down to tolerance.

it is not that simple my friend... a country dont developed because she can produce 2.1million barrel of crude oil for Indian, american and British market. A country developed by refining the crude into finish product like petro, jet fuel, cooking, gas, heavy diesel, kerosene, other peyro chemical product and gas which is then used to generate cheap electricity for industrial and domestic use.

The question is how can we transform this oil into product that will create job, wealth, standard of living and technology. instead of selling this crude at open market for $65 per barrel? You need brain, you need education, you need a government that is serious about science and technology not division.

in Niger state alone, we can generate about $10 billion from rice farming, milling and packaging. thousands of jobs can be created and so many people can be gainfully employed.
We you go to other northern states like kaduna, nasarawa, taraba, benue etc all we see are arable land that can lift so many people out of poverty, create raw materials for industrial use etc.

south western states like ondo ( my dad home state), oyo, ogun, ekiti, osun etc aso have so many things to offer. ..we can be great in diversity.

Back to your assertion, I think south eastern will suffer more if we disintegrate simply because the region is too overcrowded and lacks meaningful arable land for agricultural productivity.

you need the North as much as the North need the south for access to the sea

Any Nigerian that wants Nigerias unity must advocate true fiscal federation simple. Anything shot of that Nigeria should break.
if as u said the igbos will suffer most then y not let them go and suffer. is it ur pain? Nigeria needs justice.

Nigeria has failed to be qualified a country. The north feel its their turn to rule while the south feel "enough is a enough".

The situation of our country is very bad. The fight for power is too much. Some people just sit and decide what will happen to everyone. These men are not even intelligent. They're stupid and senseless. They make everyone suffer because of their senseless declarations. These men have no shame and they put the whole country in shame. These men are thieves, but they try to appear like angels to their people. They've developed themselves to be cult-like figures. They have senseless followers who know nothing but to follow their mad leaders. Every leader in this country has his followers and their followers are just plain stupid and violent. They don't like the truth.

I hate the word "Nigeria". The name doesn't bring joy into anyone's heart. It generates tension and fright. It brings back memories of bad feelings. The people in Nigeria when the amalgamation was taking place were stupid. They never thought of the consequence of being in contact with a group of people with different beliefs and culture. They were just jostling for power and favour from the wicked europeans.

When you open the history book of Nigeria, you will only see riots, civil war, corruption, coup, mass killing, ritual killings, etc. You will never see good things. This country has never being good since its amalgamation.

The word "Nigeria" means failure.
