Yeah right we have been ready for last 20 years and guess what nothing has happened... Meanwhile Boko Haram is taking over states and advancing everyday. Bomb blasts rock Nigeria and killing tons daily, the Nigeria polity is heating up for the grand show in 2015.

So your post is an insult to yourselves and your evil wishful thinking when your country is sliding in poo, as we speak.

its good to tell African stories, but tell them in a quality way........south Africa released a Venda which tells a story about venda people.........due to quality screening, sound and professionalism of the actors also with a big budget.........the movie its been nominated for the Oscar so what do you say about that?

Nollywood stories are told in a quality way. That they are made cheaper doesn't in anyway mean reduce the work it does. Itis cheaper because there is almost no cinema culture in all of Africa. Apart from a few countries, you will not find cinema culture anywhere else. The only option left for film makers in Nollywood is to make these vidoes into home videos and take to people so they can watch it together with their families in the sitting room since they can't come out to watch in cinemas. They are onlyu being innovative.

Just for the record, this venda movie you mentioned, is not known anywhere and among anyone apart from a few people in few places. So tell me...what is the use of a movie winning an oscar when most people don't even know it?

The truth which i want you SAns to know is...when it comes to Entertainment, you just have to give up the arguement because you will never win it against the Nigerians. Your Multichoice don't even show your movies! DSTV has three Africa Magic channels and if you call all three of the Nigeria Magic, you will be forgiven. You can say that each of these channels stand for the three largest ethnic nationalities in Nigeria- Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo. This is because there is an Africa Magic Yoruba, Hausa and the other Africa Magic which shows movies in English is dominated more by Igbo.

See yourself, you still need South African company to show your movies to other countries. Why has NTA not done that?

we don't need any SA company to show our movies to no country! We've already made our presence felt een before the inception of Multichoice and way before the end of apartheid when we integrated your country fully into the African community ands started doing business with you.

Multi choice came into the continent and saw an already established brand that is on high demand and decided to cash in into it.

Are you trying to say we can't deal squarely with your overrated and acclaimed Africa largest retailer,Shoprite? Please, you are not telling the truth about that retailer. It doesn't have up to 2000 shops in South Africa in the first place. I have visited the website and the outlets are not in thousands.

Bwahaha... Nigeria has retailers, like Silverbird, etc which are large but might not be larger than some Shoprite stores. The size you are talking about came when they started entering the Nigerian market. Please, give the credit to Nigerians for saving it from being a local retailer in Townships to entering the largest economy in Africa. We are feeding you without you knowing it. You will thank me for that one day!

Silverbird? Does anyone know what that is?

I said post me a Nigerian retailer as large as Shoprite not some butt-hurt of a story.

Well, molesters and pedophiles are truly evil bunch that I agree with you. But what do you make of parents that sell their kids to be impregnated by Rap!its & Pedoph!les and sell their babies for cash? Nigeria is the only country in the world that has mastered the trades of disgust. BABY FACTORIES ! !! Ring a bell?

- If Nollywood is told in a quality way, where is an award?

- When it comes to entertainment, Nigeria targets poor non cinema clients while we target the international world

meisie, terrorist hostages are different from disaster victims.you cant just waltz into sambisa forest and demand for the release of the chibok girls "by the authority of the president,commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of nigeria"!,being a nigerian president isnt pancake.

South Africa has been making movies even before there was a country called Nigeria.

Just because we don't have an organization that ends with "wood" it doesn't mean we dont make movies.

EPL is different from the entertainment industry.nigerian soccer players dominate many european football teams,or at least make up 70% of africans in european teams, this shows our vast talent and human resource, unlike a certain lazy african country.
