walemoney007: check this out again From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Opobo/Nkoro LGA Opobo/Nkoro is located in Nigeria Opobo/Nkoro Opobo/Nkoro Coordinates: 4°34′5″N 7°33′10″E Country Nigeria State Rivers State Time zone WAT (UTC+1) Opobo/Nkoro is a Local Government Area in Rivers State, Nigeria. It is part of the Andoni/Opobo/nkoro constituency of the Nigerian National Assembly delegation from Rivers. The capital is Opobo Town.[1] The Opobo/Nkoro people are mainly farmers and fishermen. They are of Igbo extraction. They speak Igbo language mixed with pidgin and Igbani. Just like the neighbouring Bonny, founded by Ndokis of Azuogu, slaves from the hinterlan transformed the demography of the area when the Transatlantic Slave Trade was abolished. Ijaws who came in as porters also settled there and the Igbo language was adopted. Although, there are no indigenous Ijaw communities there, most Ijaw migrants and porters have fully been integrated into the original indigenous Igbo communities. Pro-Natura International Nigeria has been assisting in community-led development in the LGA.[2] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opobo/Nkoro 1 Like |

How can Nigeria breakup into more than 1,000 countries? Yes, that is the scenario if we break up. Your village will declare its own independence too. Are we going to break up? No, it won't happen. Revolution? By which people? By corrupt followers or good followers? |

This petting of SE, SS is way too much. For me they should be given the BIAFRA they so crave for, that is if within the Biafra, new calls for another division won't crop up. Well that is not my problem. Truth be told,if Nigeria gives up on wooing S.E, they might no longer even feel like leaving anymore. Like a lady that has fallen for a guy but keeps pushing him away. In any case their continuous threat now seems more of a blackmail and no longer inreresting. Make them waka. And this is an Efik man talking. If you wan argue my place of origin, like many would love to do, you can do that. So if you wan waka Mbok Woroh! 1 Like |

If da easterners desires biafra, just as we desire da nd republic-away from parasites and dogs_in_other_peoples_mangers_and_resources tapeworms-and are getting it,then its their esteemed rights and should be respected. |

Our problem is due to a faulty political structure that was set up by winners of the civil war to exploit the resources of the country for personal benefit. Just like the UK, it is a unitary system, but imagine a situation where every industry in the UK is run down, because some feel it is easier to make a sloven billion or two from North Sea oil blocks in a life of sleaze and extortion enforced with state terror. They grab you by the balls and the nation by the jugular; they actively work to entrench chaos, because the ability to organise is the ability develop and the ability to resist. In a normal country, no one would even dream to exist as an evil parasite on their own people. For this, we blame Lugard, an evil being who brought strange bed fellows together for reasons of extortion, without as much as getting them to sign a contract of belonging. I've posted a rather simplistic summary of our problems. Regardless of how simple, our problems can be summed in a single word, "organisation." That single word is all we need and that state of existence will never be acquired until all sides sign up to a contract of belonging and nationhood; that can only come through a national conference. 1 Like |

I don't want any union with the Urhobos,Isokos,Itsekiris,Ijaws and Edos. Only an Igbo republic, comprising of all Igbo/Igboid speaking people currently found in Edo, Delta,Anambra,Enugu,Ebonyi,Benue,Imo,Rivers,Abia,Bayelsa,Akwa ibom and Cross river states would do. The only non Igbo groups that would be allowed to be part of the new Biafra, upon mutual agreement between them and us, are the Ibibios/Efiks/Annangs, the Obolo/Andoni/Ibeno, and the Ogoni/Elemes. Anything else beyond this would only lead to creation of a mini Nigeria, a tower of babel 2.0. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Fulaman198:This level of corruption started when oil was discovered, if we switch back to regionalism as he suggested their will be positive competition and less dependency, but when another region contributes almost everything and others aren't making encouraging inputs what you ll get is looting because even the politicians knows that the current system is not sustainable so they stockpile our common wealth for themselves and their children hoping that when the oil flow stops they will go back to their loot. What do u think would happen if the north east started contributing 50% of our common wealth? or any other northern region? they wont wanna share it at all. 1 Like 1 Share |

There can never be a revolution in Nigeria, for the simple reason that Nigeria is not a Nation, the people were not, are not,and are never going to be one. That was the purpose of the Berlin conference, the whites purposely created dysfunctional entities, and named them countries. The emancipation of Africa/the black man, would begin with the destruction of the Berlin anomalies, and creation of real stable nations, from where we can all unite and develop a unity of purpose. 5 Likes 1 Share |
