Nigeria trained Zimbabwean military officers in our academy.
Attending courses is not training.

You can find South African officers taking courses in Nigeria, similar to how there are Nigerian officers in SA taking courses too. That's not something special or anything.

I can see you trying to divert discussion, from your poorly trained and armed SF.

NATO has air to surface missiles to defeat the Shilka, but South Africa has NONE !

A high speed 1,500 km/hr air to surface missiles is as fast as a jet fighter and hard for a Shilka to shoot down, but a snail slow speed 85 km/hr South African Gripen guided bomb is a simple target practice for a Shilka radar and 4-barrel guns to tear into pieces !

ANC and SANDF-SAAF were stupiid enough to buy 26 Gripen jets and could not think of removing one Gripen from the shopping list and use the saved $50 million to buy BVR missiles and Maverick air to surface missiles. Nation of plum headed Olodos cheesy cheesy
The Shilka has no CRAM capabilities. Do you want me to educate you again?

At what range and altitude would it be able to engage an incoming RAM.

Nigeria has no PGM. I mean even the capability to deploy them. You should sell 5 F-7 to buy PGM(s). cheesy cheesy cheesy

Rhino poaching isn't a military threat. Around less than 1000 rangers guard an area almost the size of Israel.
Again Nigerian soldiers aren't that well trained.

You personally old the most advanced RPG to Afghanistan terrorists?

The Challenger tank was hit by an RPG and the fact remains that it was penetrated. Simple.

The armour on the Badger IFV five times weaker than the armour of Challenger MBT that was penetrated by RPG.

Poland's Rosomak IFV in your own source was hit by an ordinary HE RPG-7 not Armour Piercing RPG or HEAT RPG-7 that penetrates even Main Battle Tanks that have 100mm solid steel armour. Does your Badger have the armour equal to a tank ? No !

Then according to your own source the Rosomak IFV was not the ordinary version, it was the special version with upgraded armour built to resist RPG. The report also says that an RPG was fired directly on the Rosomak IFV frontal armour which is always the thickest armour on any IFV.

Old RPG-7 HEAT shell is built to penetrate over 500mm thick armour of steel, so even if Badger IFV has double the armour of Ratel, with 40mm thickness all round, the RPG-7 HEAT will slice through the Badger like a hot knife cuts through butter.

"The RPG-7 can fire a variety of warheads for anti-armor (HEAT, PG-Protivotankovaya Granata) or anti-personnel (HE, OG-Oskolochnaya Granata) purposes, usually fitting with an impact (PIBD) and a 4.5 second fuze. Armor penetration is warhead dependent and ranges from 300mm to 600mm of RHA armour; one warhead, the PG-7VR, is a 'tandem charge' device, used to defeat reactive armor with a single shot. " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RPG-7

Badger will die roasted by one single shot from an old generation anti-armour RPG-7 !

Better go write your final will on how your property will be shared among your family and close relatives. Fool !
.

No !

Your own source says, it was hit by RPG-7 and does not specify, and the first one was hit on the side of the vehical. See pictures.

"In early 2008 a Polish Rosomak serving in Afghanistan (the version with upgraded armor) was attacked by Taliban rebels. The vehicle was hit by two RPG-7 rockets. In June 2008 a Rosomak was attacked by Taliban and was hit in its frontal armor with a RPG. The armour was not penetrated."

The RPG that penetrated the Chally 2 was not an RPG-7, it was an RPG-29

In the August attack, which occurred during an operation to arrest a leading insurgent in the town of al-Amarah, in southern Iraq, the Challenger was damaged when a Russian-made rocket-propelled grenade, known as an RPG-29, defeated the ERA and penetrated the driver's cabin.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1551418/MoD-kept-failure-of-best-tank-quiet.html

And the RPG penetrated the underside of the vehicle, not the sides or the front

In August 2006 in al-Amarah, an RPG-29 damaged the underside of a Challenger 2, detonating ERA in the area of the driver's cabin. The driver lost part of his foot and two more of the crew were also injured but the driver was able to reverse 1.5 mi (2.4 km) to an aid post. The incident was not made public until May 2007; in response to accusations, the MoD said "We have never claimed that the Challenger 2 is impenetrable."[17][18] Since then, the ERA has been replaced with a Dorchester block and the steel underbelly lined with armour as part of the 'Streetfighter' upgrade as a direct response to this incident.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Challenger_2

So, the Rosomak and Badger can shrug off RPG's to the side... but the BMP-2 cannot

Old RPG-7 HEAT shell is built to penetrate over 500mm thick armour of steel, so even if Badger IFV has double the armour of Ratel, with 40mm thickness all round, the RPG-7 HEAT will slice through the Badger like a hot knife cuts through butter.

Cool story, problem is, we have shown this to be untrue in combat

As usual, your over simplification and lack of knowledge leads you to beleive that you have an argument. You dont, and never have.

BMP-2 < Badger IFV

Nigeria has more than oil, we also have gas and condensates as our second and third type of hydrocarbon. We also have many solid minerals in top world rankings, like Bitumen, Limestone, etc.

I proved it on this forum last year, Nigeria is the richest country in Africa by natural resources, second is Congo DRC.

South Africa is the most mineral rich country in the world with $2,494 billion in mineral wealth

I dont know where you get 85km/h from... since JDAM's can be dropped with speeds up to mach 1.2

he weapon can be released from altitudes as high as 50 kft, at speeds up to Mach 1.3,
http://www.ausairpower.net/TE-JDAMPt1.html

And the Shilka cannot target such small objects, show us one instance of a Shilka doing so. You have many wars to choose from: Syria, Libya, Iraq (twice)

Shilka is obsolete rubbish that is only a threat to attack helicopters

Gripen does no real ISTAR, it does Recce, that is what NATO officially declared they did, and not alone, only 37% of the Recce was done by Gripen jets from Sweden. Real capable NATO Recce aircraft did the major Recce work in Libya, other aircraft did 63%.

Gripen jet is fake ISTAR....LOL !

Maybe its because Gripen only made up a small total of all NATO aircraft?

[size=14pt]Every modern army in this world has accountants, and PMCs use them too. Anywhere money is present to be accounted for, you find accountants.

Btwn, in the American military, graduates of accounting and all other fields are commissioned as combatant officers after relevant training, your first degree is not barrier, and few people have BSc military science, American General Colin Powel has BSc Geology and Masters Degree Business administration and he is armoured corp combatant officer.

America will accept any type of BSc into military service.

Then why are you obsessed about my photo, my red zone camo uniform and my gun ?

I will post it when you post your source for ATR-42 radar range !

Nope, you said you would post your "uniform" and "gun"

So do it.

Lol (apparently PMC's have uniforms these days, and they issue accountants guns)

SANDF has ZERO amphibious capability, you are stuck to dray land combat only, SANDF will drown when it faces water terrain cheesy cheesy

What is this "water terrain" you speak of?

And only the USMC are keeping amphibious vehicals. Its an obsolete concept for Army's, too lightweight.

No it is not.

If it was soldiers from Afghanistan, Somalia, Mali and Congo would be the best in the world.

Again, as Gulf War 1 showed, combat experience is useless when your foe is better motivated, trained and organized.

This has been common knowledge since ROMAN TIMES.... the saying:

Their drills are bloodless battles and their battles are bloody drills

Soldiers from those countries are not as good because the lack the right equipment, motivation or doctrine to put all they've garned. It is also a result of non-existent or weak military structures.

No country on this planet since the end of world war 2 has been in more wars than the United states military.

With every conflict, the Americans note what they have learnt, tailor there doctrine and defence industry to deal with experiences gained from the field.

With all their trainings, they still performed badly in Vietnam, in Iraq same thing happened before General David petreaus developed a new COIN manual to deal with the threats in Iraq.

Iraq wasn't the first COIN operation they faced, as Vietnam and the invasion of Panama were also COIN operations.

Actual combat experience is 100% more important than any training a soldier can receive.

Don't be naive.

So you then confirm that SANDF has experience as we have fought not only in more wars than you, but bigger and more advanced ones.

And you yourself admit that it is not individual experience, but institutional experience that is important.

If a soldier does not know how to do his job (because he was not properly trained) why would he suddenly learn his job and be better at his job because he was deployed?

Training is more important than combat, this is a fact that has been known since Roman times.

And the US military won in Veitnam, ya dingus.
