Gboliwe:
Have the test results been sent to the new indian hospital yet?

I think the problem of ripping us off our money by the hospital is as a result of them knowing that this patient is a "community paid" patient cared for by charity. The hospital must have been told/made aware/found out that the patient had so many people donating to his coffers and the stream of funds was endless. TeHN should take note.

What the hospital failed to understand is that just as we. Know them, we can run them down and badmouth them too since we are a multitude.

While a doctor is necessary to be on hand, in this age and time, that should not be so worrisome if we can't find any volunteer. We pay for one. Its part of the expenses we incur. Find a good level headed doctor in Lagos, pay him to do the job a volunteer would have done for free. Since we have no volunteers here.
Alternatively, arrange a phone appointment between babyosisi and the doctor, they are colleagues and should get along better.

At this stage, most people will only donate when there is a certainty of a diagnoses. So, let's get the hospital to spell it all out in black and white so we can be armed with the document as we canvass for funds.

Oga welcome back sir. Getting a volunteer shouldn't be a difficult task, this is NL TEHN should creat a thread for it and push it to FP.

In my humble opinion, since we arent sure we are dealing with cancer yet, stabilising him in a cheaper hospital would be best. l dont know if federal medical centers too are in strike but they are cheap and effective.
But i feel expiditing tests for cancer and cancelling it out is of essense. I pray its not cancer but we cant affford any delays in even hours if it is and it wont hurt to get travelling documents ready incase it is needed. The cost of that isnt much.
May God guide us through to make the best decisions.

His case has already been referred to an oncologist
Either at a teaching hospital on strike or a private one.

Do you have any federal medical centre in mind that is not on strike

Hello like to make a suggestion here, there is this diagnostics centre own by the Indians in lagos, Me cure at Oshodi, they have basically all equipments for different ailments in one place, and they have ready contacts in India where they refer patients with very extreme conditions to. Why not take him there and let a full comprehensive test be done and subsequent referral is done. Just a suggestion ooo.

Sure I can with the help of others, but one thing about it is, we need to have a specific ailment to tie it to, as debbified own went back then, it was clear she had boobs cancer so the amount needed was clear and for the exact ailment, we need have a specific ailment DJDOLA is diagnosed for and estimate of treatment in or outside Nigeria. That will make Nigerians donate faster and know what they are actually donating for.

Yea you very correct, the centre has been existing far back as I was a kid. That's the major thing needed, because we need know exactly the ailment wrong with him, so we can push and solicit for funds outside NL, with medical documented evidences with that, more people will be willing to help and a solution can be found faster.

Tbis is the best suggestion I've seen.....and the way forward. Let's start from scratch again...scratch out LCC and India for now.....and get DJ here to be diagnosed. I do agree also that no more effort be put into fund raising until we know tbe diagnosis. I would also suggest that every effort be made to present DJ as a humble private citizen paying out of his life savings and sale of inherited land.....and house if necessary. They must not know he is community funded. I also suggest his other names be used and just letter H for Hamed We are dealing with the public and no matter how many warnings....people will be calling the centre explaining and inquiring about Hamed. We must learn from the past and avoid a repeat of unwanted behaviour and exploitation. I am also thinking that we should not present the results from the battery of tests by the bandits.....they may all be misleading ...let the guys do their own testing even if they have to repeat some that we were told were done before. My take.

MeCure is HYPER-expensive.

Please, why are we scratching out the Indian option? #JustCurious.

I am suggesting that for now because we now know of a competent diagnostic and treatment centre in Nigeria. If they can't treat his condition they know who can in India.I guess this local Indian centre is a sattelite centre for a hospital in India.
Re: RIP DJDOLA- We Will Miss You by JustCurious: 2:30pm On Dec 21, 2014
As earlier suggested, maybe we should go back to the strategic drawing board designed by chaircover. Let team C and D take up the case, by re-initiating his transfer to an Indian hospital or any other reputable clinic where every necessary diagnosis and treatment is assured, please.

Babyosisi, busybody, caracter, Tehn members, olulife, idowuOgbo and everyone who has been committed to this project in one way or the other, welldone. May God bless your hearts more than your widest imaginations. Amen.

Please let's sheath the swords, let's put in more effort so we could achieve a successful conclusion. Let's do this for God's sake and not man.. And, the One who sees in secret would reward YOU openly. #JustSharing

Update 20th December ‎

Having said the above, DJ has had to check himself back into the hospital this morning as he felt a bit of discomfort over the night.

TeHN

remember i kicked against allowing him check out ? this kind of discomfort cannot be ruled out just as it happened with my brother . thank God he his okay now next time you guys should not make this kind of mistake again .

thanks
TeHn is working for sure
Re: RIP DJDOLA- We Will Miss You by Originalsly: 7:14pm On Dec 21, 2014
Hmmm...is the discomfort because if his condition?....or side effects of the medications?....don't forget they prescribed medication without knowing what is the problem.....that in itself is a problem.
