yea we call it service to humanity the difference between us and other working in O and G is that they won't share u secret to their success but some people make up time to do their best out of tight scheduled... Am the most busiest person but once I see any one with a challenge I rise up to it...thats my calling and passion

I honestly appreciate what y'all do. Hardly do you come across people who are willing to help others and expect nothing in return... I respect that.

Great thread.
Beefers should be ignored because they are people that have not achieved anything in real life. They are only e-bullies.
I hope this thread hits frontpage, these folks need to be appreciated.

I was right. What a childish response. It's jarus himself who penned this self-serving drivel. Positioning himself as numero uno with the '1st-class' Economics degree from OAU, whatever. It's not what 'class' you came out with but what you do with it.

Adding real value to NLers, you say? Lol!

Well, you can continue basking in your 'groupie' affair and your desire to be celebrated, if that's how you get your rocks off, it ain't illegal yet.

grin

Unfortunately, i'm not Jarus. I'm from Akwa Ibom State and Jarus is from Kwara State i think. Remember, i wrote "i'll reel out their names in no particular order". So anybody could have come up as Number 1.

I created this thread to celebrate those people on this forum who have tried in their little way to help others with some information that ordinarily may have been paid for or not made available for unknown reasons.

While writing, i thought of those who are still in Secondary school, those who are about writing UTME, Undergraduates, Graduates, etc. Haven't you read topics like these on this forum:

* "I'm a Jambite and i want to study Biochemistry or Microbiology. What are the job prospects?"
* "I'm in 300 level and i'm on 3rd class. Do i re-write UTME or go ahead and graduate?"
* "I'm a graduate of Mechanical Engineering. What Certifications can i go for please?"
* "I've been invited for an interview with Shell. What should i expect?"

Are you telling me that if your sibling (if any) had been in a difficult situation you wouldn't help him out?

Yes, Jarus bagged a 1st Class from OAU and i'm very happy for him because it's not easy to come out with one. You wrote, "it doesn't matter what class one comes out with, but what one is able to do with it". But you know what? These guys have done so many things with the little they have been able to achieve by telling us the things to do and how to do them.

They just practicalised this statement "don't give me fish, but teach me how to fish". If someone gives you fish always without telling you how and where to get these fishes, believe me that person doesn't want the best for you. That person still wants you to feed from him/her. He/she still wants to lord over you.

These guys gave us the type of information that would make us earn a living from. Let's learn to celebrate those people who have touched our lives positively.

As I wrote, if being a groupie is what makes you function well in the morning, you're welcome to it.

If your idols are those who maintain, sustain, perpetuate and encourage wage-slavery, you're entitled to your lifestyle. Sorry, your analogy of the teaching how to fish doesn't cut it. Don't you get to still buy their books and subscribe to their 'websites'?

These guys have done so many things with the little they have been able to achieve by telling us the things to do and how to do them. You're really gullible: How many things have they done that you know of, independently? Except what they tell you they have done? Use your head and wake up. You're being used, if really you're not jarus grin

@OP, you really did a well-researched job about the individuals you mentioned. I am a keen and silent follower of these folks and I must confess that I have been blessed by their write-ups.I have tapped a lot of career inspirations from them and gained in no small way from them. These are people who hardly engage themselves in e-fight but often post information that are beneficial to 'younger' aspiring professionals, myself inclusive. Being a graduate of Engineering(B.ENG &HND), I must say that the insights some mentioned names do give in Career section here, have really helped me in taking some good decisions. These are people who,I think, should be noted as career mentors and be admired.I hate to mention names but I must say the personalities of Xfire and Jarus are quite endearing.Keep up the good work.
Again, this thread really deserves to be on the front page;if it is not there already as at the time of my write-up.

I am very sorry to quote you, boss.Do you have a personal issue to iron out with this man? If you have some other names you think should make the list ,don't yout think that it will be a good idea to list them out so that we can also know them, learn from them or appreciate what they stand for? Once again, don't be offended for quoting you;I just want to understand your point.

oga Jarus,
How would you rate the chances of an individual that seeks to get to the top of his/her finance/accounting career with just a bsc finance and maybe an msc finance/investment/econs/accounting? Would that individual fair well as opposed to having other professional certifications such as acca/ican to go with it. Thanks.

Besides, oga Jarus,it is not every issue you that respond to,not because you're a fool, but because you have to allow peace to reign.

Sorry for bringing my own issue here(not related to the purpose of this thread) but i haven't gotten any reply to it from other threads, that is why i brought it here. I hereby implore the greater minds to relief me by answering.

My questns goes thus:
[1] Is it possible that an undergraduate student of Forest Resources Management(UI) with excellent CGP also benefit from scholarships?. Because, not seeing scholarship for Forestry course beat my heart.

[2] Is there any age restriction to scholarships for the Undergraduates and also for government jobs?

[3] kindly give us sir/ma,like 2 or 3 websites of effective scholarship board that a student of Forestry can apply to.

And lastly....
[4] Apart from government job, which other field or company can a graduate of Forest Resources Management work?

Your response will assist alot. Thanks.....

Ever since i joined this forum in 2013, i've noticed that some persons here have in one way or the other helped others with vital information to better their situation in times of need. They dish out information that would not have been heard or found by an ordinary person like myself.

These people have helped to shape the lives of aspiring Students, Undergraduates, Graduates, Job seekers, etc by offering words of advice to better their lot. They have a few things in common. They are intelligent, hardworking, sincere, humble and their oral and written communication are top notch. They seem to know almost everything.

Without wasting much time, i'll reel out their names in no particular order. They are:

1. Jarus - He is a First Class Graduate of Economics from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). He's a Financial Analyst in one of the Oil & Gas firms while also doubling as the CEO of www.jarushub.com, a portal which focuses on management and career guidance for young Nigerians.

3. 2sexy - This is one guy i can vouch for anyday anytime. He is a Petroleum Engineering Graduate of the prestigious Petroleum Training Institute (PTI). Having met him in person earlier this year, i can proudly tell you that he's sincere, hardworking, intelligent and smart. He gives in 100% in anything and everything he does. Hmmm...good list. I think nitrogen, tiimmy, bigdreams, olutola88 and my humble self should have been acknowledged at the barest minimum. I also feel dmainman should have been in the Top 10 list ahead of some others in the list. Champella, do edit your list to include him and knock off one person to the acknowledgement note. Yamakuza was also a great contributor and should have been included in the top 10 if not for the fact that he doesn't comment as much again. He should be acknowledged at least.
But list is abt 90% accurate. Special kudos to xfire, Jarus, imag5 and dmainman.
