The Nigerian army or rather the Nigerian militia is an ill-trained, ill-equipped outfit incapable of fighting their way out of a paper bag, how the hell are they going to successfully confront the better equipped insurgents?

The Nigerian militia with their dane guns & rusty AK-47s are no match for well armed terrorists on a suicide mission.

The Chadian army are actually a much better outfit in every facet, probably as a result of their close ties with the French.

Nigeria better avoid any major confrontation with any nation because that could lead to annihilation from even a tiny country like Chad.

This is a masterstroke on the part of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and his war chiefs to tacitly permit chadians invasion and rapid Boko envelopment-this time we won't have complaints of genocide from some corners-...with Nigeria's combat troops operating to the south of this theatre at monguno, maiduguri, konduga and inching their way up north with extensive gendarmes border movements to the east in Cameroon we won't be surprised boko haram get surrounded, starved of supplies and wiped out in the coming weeks.

Chad's army has driven Boko Haram militants out of Malumfatori town in north-eastern Nigeria, a senior official from Niger has told the BBC.

The reported capture of the town, which lies near the borders of Chad and Niger, follows two days of fighting.

Both ground and air forces are reported to have been used in the assault.

Niger officials said Chadian ground forces moved into the town after crossing Lake Chad. It is not known if the operation was approved by Nigeria .

That's a joke.

No permission needed from Nigeria military, they are as ineffective as a row boat in the middle of the Atlantic in a hurricane.

The old adage came through, "if you don't take care of your house, someone else will".

Good job. I hope Nigerian Army doesn't have to face a foreign army anytime soon. What they couldn't do for three years only took Chad army about two weeks to do.
because Chad dont have APC as their opposition party.

My dear!
This this is damn scary if you really look at it. As in even Togo can challenge us right now.

We all know the Nigerian army is gallant on a normal day but their morale is at an all time low now. Plus they are not well armed.
It's really sad.
bokoharam in their latest video had to disagree with your assertions. They said, our soldier had everything to fight, but, our soldiers are simple cowards, who at the face of confrontation, abandon their posts and weaponry. Sadly, persons with passion for the army are not recruited. Rather, it's persons who have got Godfathers and mothers that could scale through, and are recruited.

as daft as you are, you do not know that their is a joint operation going on in that area. mtchew . AU peace keepers will be in naija before the elections since tribal and religious sentiments will not let Nigerian Army personnel do their job, the neighboring countries have our approval for such incursions.

and this makes you proud as a Nigerian?!

SMH! The Nigerian military is useless. It's not that they are poorly trained. The lower ranked soldiers are brave and disciplined. It's your generals and politicians that are weak and corrupt to no end. Not to mention the lack of decent equipment!

I thank God Chad has refused to side with Boko Haram. I hope all Nigeria's neighbors stiffly oppose Boko haram too. If those moles in our army refusing to fight Boko will allow them to capture more cites inside Nigeria just to spite the nation's leadership, let them continue.

Bottomline, boko haram are not welcome in Chad nor Cameroon territory anymore!

Boko haram is not a Nigerian problem but a border less entity that operates on the borders of Nigeria, Niger Chad and Cameroon.

It will take a cross border effort of all the aforementioned countries to eliminate Boko Haram.

Keep fooling yourself with stupid and false reasons. Isn't chat a major Islamic nation too?
