Minister of State for Power, Mohammed Wakil, has said Nigeria was now a power sector reform model to the South African government, saying that country now emulates Nigeria’s power sector privatisation model for the transformation of its ailing energy sector. http://www.blueprint.ng/2015/01/30/nigeria-now-a-model-to-south-africa-on-power-sector-reform/ http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/sunday/index.php/news/19501-fg-south-africa-emulates-nigeria-s-power-reforms 'Eskom ( south African power giant) is currently broke and South African government is not looking to finance it anymore. Did I just see 'was' in the second line? Anyway, for his info, no light here in my area here. I felt this cool breeze blowing me this morning and I had to wake just to know wat it is. Low and behold, it was nepa. I felt cool and smiled Only for me to wake fully and they took it. Now I can't sleep back because I'm still expecting a miracle that they will bring it 22 Likes 1 Share |

I trust South African government, they will surely give good response to this claim,I don't know where people emulate failure. No light, crazy bill everywhere yet the minister is celebrating mediocrity. Is this what we want for the next four years? 63 Likes 3 Shares |

nanauju: You need to ask some of your southie friends on Nairaland what they have been experiencing under SA power giant Eskom to know that you are not alone. Even 'advanced' South Africa is facing power rationing crisis......I think Africans are just waking up to the situation at hand, the population is rising at a dramatic rate thus suffocating the dilapidated infrastructures in place. This is a revolution by NIgeria as the state can not monopolize a huge and capital intensive service sector...... You'll feel the effect of the reform with time, it is not a rapid affair just as the telecommunication reform that you are enjoying today wasn't a day success...... 18 Likes 1 Share |

This man is sick in the head how can a country generating over 40,000mw with a population less than 60m be looking up to a country generating 3,000mw with a population of 170m. If you want to make GEJ government look good please stay within the confines of reasonable lies 106 Likes 13 Shares |
