EMANY01:As you said the most recent development, but why can't you be reasonable, the pictures and the article I posted weren't as you described "foolish" nor was I "peddling" lies. As stupid as you sound I won't insult you. What I read on the link was that they had hit a snag, and China is gonna bid for the rail way stuff. That being said why didn't it occur to you that the high speed trains are still going to be constructed. Better a well established, meticulously done rail line that will take some time to finish than a mediocre, shoddy job for election campaigning. Whoever you are please grow up, whatever religion you practice, you are soiling its name. You think you can just be insulting people.By the way, #Nigeriamustwin not GMB or GEJ |

I pray that Buhari wins and become the dictator that he is known to be ; then all you clamouring for change will enjoy the play. When tears begin to flow, we shall all be in for it. I fear for this generation, a generation that cannot see beyond the smokescreen called APC. Indeed, I fear for this generation! |

Faibuhari: Attacking my person rather than the issues is a hallmark of a typical jonathanian. So I'm not surprised. Like I advised you, go and read your books. I can't argue for long with someone who hs little value for facts. Going a bit deeper, GMB may not have been perfect in his time but his efforts and commitment went a long way; and which can't be compared to the waste we've witnessed in 6yrs under jonathan. In the face of austere economic conditions of the 80s, after he succeeded shagari, buhari went about to reform the economy. In rebuilding the economy, he began moving or cutting back the excesses in national expenditure; and sought to rid completely corruption from the nation's social ethics, shifting from mainly public sector employment to self-employment. Buhari also encouraged import substitution industrialisation based to a great extent on the use of local materials and he tightened importation. It was to some extent, the fall out of this drive to stop importation of foriegn goods and encourage locally made goods for exportation that many people lost their jobs. But this wouldd have been a temporary phase after which the economy would boom and the people would bounce back. Problem here in Nigeria is, we want every thinng fast tracked to perfection without the initial sacrifice and hardship. |

Omooba77: The problem most Nigerians have is that, many of us have not been opportuned to go out of this country for once. So we are to comfortable with the rubbish we are seeing around. Our politicians steal our monies and go and enjoy it in foreign land where light does not blink. JONATHAN did nothing compare to the volume of money available to his government. It is like spending #100 for Nigerians while he has #10,000,000 naira and you are happy he did road and railway. By now, Nigeria should be using underground rail line to link all parts of the country together. In less than 1hr I should be able to travel from Lagos to Abuja. But what do we see, old Model train and you are happy. I pity your generation. 3 Likes |

Faibuhari: What stops you from reeling out your own facts than make accusations of propaganda? What's your definition of propaganda? Is it the truth I don't want to hear or the truth that comes from the other persons' mouth but my own? You've a problem and that problem is called "bias" Unfortunately, no doctor can cure it but yourself. Good news is, you'd be cured on feb 15. Thank you. |

AreaFada2: I hope you've your facts tight as you spew- I know about essenco( the essential commodities that were shared amongst workers) people queued more to get them under shagari than in Buhari's regime. The queue was largely symptomatic of corruption in the civil service which Buhari toiled to wipe out and got his bad name for doing so. The job losses u talked about was as a result of the near ban on the culture of importation. That's the initial knee jerk reaction you find in the economy as it gradually adapts. Sadly, our people were too pampered to make such sacrifice then. Buhari encouraged agriculture and the export of its goods in his time. |
