OBJ, claiming a saint, wonder they say shall never end. The only person who attempted to go for third term in Nigeria after commercializing education. He has no moral right to talk and this madness must stop.

Election not holding in March and the president-elect not sworn in on May 29 could most likely lead to a military intervention.
GEJ may give power to interim government, which will be very welcomed.

To me, as far as Buhari will never be President... That will be ok.

Nigeria should rather be divided than to Have Buhari as the President!!

Very possible. Obasanjo, Buhari and Babangida, three retired generals and former heads of state can make it possible. Those in the army are more likely to show them more loyalty than their C-in-C, Jonathan. The being alive of these men as well as people like T. Y. Danjuma, Abdulsalam Abubakar and other retired army chief could arouse a military intervention in the face of the abuse of power we currently witness.

BIG lies, they are all sick and regretting the kind of Nigeria they bestowed on us.

continue to live in denial.

What denial?

Is OBJ a saint? During his term no single road was rehabilitated. Hundreds of thousands of Nigerians were going abroad for higher education particularly Ghana due to his refusal to establish more schools. I can go on and on....................

OBJ should look for a deserted thatched house in the bush and lock himself up for the remaining days of his life.

Over buhari there will not be coup.

His fellow northerners tried to kill buhari.

Nobody is overthrowing anybody over buhari or osibanjo losing election.

Buhari/osibanjo can only win the north, like buhari /bakare..

If you look at the picture, you will see buhari supporters reduced compare to 2011, when he had large support

Voodoo analysis !

Those who insult OBJ are obviously dead brain fools. This man knows how the military works, the elements are ripe for a coup. When you take a clueless president pair it up with an aggressive opposition, add religious/tribal/sentimental issues and top it off with terrorist/militant hostility, you create a nation of instability, a nation of chaos, a nation ungovernable by civilians! The president should put measures in place to make sure such a thing does not happen, any attempt to rig the election or delay the election further will surely result in chaos. The world is watching.....

With the state of things in Nigeria, if the miliatary strikes, the international community will do little or nothing against it. Obasanjo is an intelligent man that witnessed all the coups, and stands a chance of saying when government may be toppled. Besides, as one of the soldiers that fought during the Civil War to keep the country as one, he won't fold his arms to watch anybody plunge the country into another civil war.

I wonder how we forget in a hurry. It was Obj that instituted Nigeria's democracy on the platform of corruption when he said that his political appointees were called to come and chop. After his third term bid failed and he left office, Obj has been a confused personality, an antagonist and a double-speaker. The rate our politicians profane against the revered office of the President is most unfortunate. I think that Obj should maintain being an elder statesman and allow Nigerians choose their leader. He should remember that the N66billion census fund during his administration is still unaccounted for. May the soul of Afolabi his then interior minister rest in peace.

I seem to remember that the JagaBandit of Thief'nuibu cabal did worse against Fashola in 2009/2010 to frustrate his second term run also, not so

Probably good governance and honesty? Did he not promise obasanjo he was going for only one term?

No be only coup na cute...

Nigeria is a member of the UN Security council, which means that if a coup happen in Nigeria , the U.S will be involved. No millitary head of state would like to engage in a battle with the U.S army.
This is not the 80's or 90's

I thaught Obj said that he wont say anything until after d election? Has he swallowed his word again? Obj an all former,Head,of state are d ones that killed d army and their fighting spirit, not Jonathn. The pas leaders delibrately refused to equip he army because they were afraid d army could stage a coup deta with the equipment against their government. Why now blame Jonatham who is now equiping d army.Obj can support any mumu all i care,it wont affect Jonathan's re election. I equally sence that Obj might nstigate some disgtuntled, oficer and soldiers to stage coup deta.Jona plse watch yr back. Obj supports Buhari so that he would not be probed.Let buhari get there then yu will know that leoperd does not change colour, yoir helping buhari will be a sacrifice to d nation just as you told those that helped u to power. At anyrate, plse leave our president alone, enough of your vetuparations.Face Buruji your master

Yes, Obasanjo has committed a treasonable offense by reminding Goatluck Jonafool to respect the constitution of the country and not set the country on fire so that the military will not take over. If you nonentities are sure sons of your father, tell Goatluck to go and arrest Obasanjo. Then you will understand the statement 'OLD SOLDIER NEVER DIES'. You will also understand what IBB meant when he said ' we Generals will stand by one of our own'

Fellow nairalanders. Could there be anyone on this platform that know this country more than OBJ? He fought the civil war; he served as a military president and handed over democratic government and again served as a civilian president. Definitely this man know what we know not. let's watch what we say or type. What an old man seen while sitting may not be seen by a boy even if he climb the tallest mast.

OBJ vs GEJ (Head-to-Head)
Under 8 yrs of OBJ, 16 Billion dollars power funds wasted, Tambuwal was chairman House committee on power, in 2/half years GEJ has unbundled power and even made money from the sales
Under OBJ, Sharia laws (the precursor of Boko Haram) began in some states, OBJ said it would die a natural death: GEJ inherited
Under OBJ, Notable politicians were murdered in cold blood: Bola Ige, Marshall Harry, Dikibo, etc. OBJ even spoke before the police he said armed robbers killed Dikibo
Under OBJ, Benin-Shagamu was a mess, go and look at the improvements today
Under OBJ, Idris sang Nigeria Jagajaga, OBJ said it was Idris family that was Jagajaga, today he is telling us about jagajaga.
Under OBJ, Railways were dead with billions pumped in, but today, Lagos to Kano is back alive and PH-Maiduguri will commence in a few months. Goods are now hauled straight off Apapa Wharf to Kano over 1,000 kms away.
Under OBJ, SW states were all under PDP except for Lagos, today under GEJ, no SW state was PDP even with the Salami-ing of court judgments, until recently with Ekiti and Ondo
Under OBJ, Certain ministerial positions were made the exclusive preserve of born-to-rulers (EG Rilwanu Lukman was Petroleum minister/sec for 12 years back-to-back),
Under OBJ, policemen collected 20-20 naira on our highways and streets, today it is almost unheard-of, if caught, we see people on you tube and they are dismissed
Under OBJ, EFCC hounded perceived political opponents, today, due process of our WEAK LEGISLATIONS take its course
Under OBJ, The vice-president was ostracized, today, GEJ and Sambo are in good terms
Under OBJ, Our airports and aviation sector were dead, today, Kano Airport and tens of other airports have had a makeover and the South East has international airport/flights for the first time ever.
Under OBJ, Old men and women were murdered in Odi, but he couldn't confront an unprecedented sharia system that later became Boko Haram bedeviling Nigeria today
Under OBJ, Nigerians queued endlessly for petroleum products, but today for 3 straight years, only pockets of few queues occasioned by tanker drivers strikes (due to kidnapping of their wives) are experienced.
OBJ is not the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which stipulates the terms of contesting elections. GEJ has asked those making that noise to show proof, and till date, nothing forthcoming.
73,000 Federal Civil Service ghost workers inherited from OBJ have been ghost-busted and 161 billion naira saved by GEJ. Almost 50,000 ghost pension claims also busted.
Under 16 months Nigeria won 3 major trophies in football and qualified for tthe FIFA World Cup. It never happened at this level under OBJ's entire 8 years full of age cheats etc
Agriculture has increased our GDP under GEJ. Farmers and other agro-allied producers are better off under GEJ. For the first time, almost 1 billion dollars worth of cocoa has been exported. Hides and skins exports are back. Cotton ginneries kicking back to life, fertilizer scams nipped off and Farmers will soon start exporting produce from the aerotropolis under construction...Africa’s largest rice farm is now in Nigeria and 14 million farmers are reached via mobile phones for fertilizers, improved seedlings and marketing tips.
The same people vilifying PDP for 14 years of failure are suddenly praising OBJ for the indecorous letter to GEJ, when 8 of those years were headed by the same OBJ? GEJ is just 2 and a half years old in his statutorily recognized tenure and ''they'' want 50 years of ROT undone in that time frame?
