FP is not more interesting, the MODS are killing it themselves, there are other sensible threads in some sections they couldn't bring it here to FP than to bring the meaningless thing called "Most beautiful Hostel in Africa" which isn't in top 100 in Africa. Mtcheeeew

Why don't you reply my mentions when necessary?

I did not attend Ago Iwoye. As a matter of fact, I didn't school in Nigeria.I have not been to Makarere either but I have visited the wittwaterstrand and I know what the school is made of.I don't mean to disrespect u but I realised that Nigerians are always fond of assuming that anything Nigeria is best in Africa and offcourse I am a proud Nigeria myself but if u do an honest search, that Ife will not come anywhere near in this continent.Covenant University made it first in webometrics thanks to Dr Oyedepo emphasis on the importance of web content and ranking.I work with the agency that regulate university system and I have travelled to many universities in africa and europe.I have an informed opinion on this
As an informed Nigerian, you shouldn't just make assertions with no basis. You have not been to Makerere and yet you claimed it's more beautiful than OAU. I know Makerere is rated higher than any Nigerian university in terms of academic outputs & not beauty which is the bone of contention here. You are really informed!
I didn't claim OAU is the most beautiful in Africa as doing so would be subjective. I've equally been privileged to visit some other universities out of Nigeria and it would be wrong to say OAU is the most beautiful in Africa. It's however arguably the most beautiful in Nigeria & one of the most beautiful in Africa. UI (where I also schooled) can only rank second.
And I now know why you don't appreciate the beauty of Nigerian campuses. It's only an individual who schooled abroad or attended a glorified secondary school at home that will fail to appreciate OAU's beauty. Please pay a visit to OAU, UI, UNILAG & ABU & don't just be fed with information on the net before you comment further.
Good day.

There is nothing to argue, its crystal clear and a well known fact that OAU infrastructural and architectural beauty is no match to most universities in Nigeria. Also, most of my friends that stay in Ibadan or attended the popular secondary in UI all said OAU is more beautiful (especially in terms of structure) than UI.

If you said Nigeria, there is a chance i'd believe you but Africa? . . You been to ghana?

I'm inclined to believe this thread is troll bait. Written just to provoke surprise and disbelief. No one can possibly believe this is the most beautiful campus on any continent.

We are not talking about the beautiful buildings, rather what is inside. How are the labs were equipped? What of the text books? female students do they pass their exams without bedding the lecturers?

Why does the rich send his children abroad to study? Lets us not fool ourselves. All the systems in the country have collapsed because of corruption, the truth of the matter.
