When you reapply, use your uncle, make sure you also have strong ties in Nigeria, that way they know you are definitely returning to Nigeria, if you are the one applying, you can still be the main applicant. And be sure you are making a lot of money since you are going with your entire family. Get letters from your boss man saying you are returning to the country. Do your assignment right and I'm sure it would go well.

All the best my sister

Is his wife and kid not a tie?

@Royals1, your visa application was rejected based on lack of honesty and no strong reason of going to the US.
How can a Manager of a cleaning company earn 180k after tax?
Please do not reapply until after 3months, that's the immigration law.
Thanks

It's a mistake, yet they are somewhat the same? They are not somewhat the same.

London is a city in England .It's the country's capital.
UK comprises of 4 countries - England, Scotland ,Wales and Northern Ireland.

So, no you would not be cut some slack.

It's just like the dumbos that call Africa a country.

Just FYI! England is not equal to Britain. Historically, Britain refers to the three countries without Ireland (now just Northern Ireland). Officially, the whole of the Union is refered to as The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland (now just Northern Ireland).

Also just FYI, England does not equate to Britain. Britain refers to the countries you listed without Nortern Ireland. But it's also used to refer to all four countries as well since the people are not United Kingdomists but British.

ur chances definitely goes up when you apply as a family, then secondly do your hotel reservation and don't use any relative's information, if your bank statement is stronger than your husband's then use yours. Good luck.

Sorry about your denial! The key to getting your non immigrant visa to United States of America is your Ds - 160 form. They already know if you are qualified for a visa even before your scheduled interview day through the Ds - 160 form you filled and submitted prior to your interview. The consular officers don't know who you are but the little information given on the Ds - 160 form. You might want to consult a professional to guide you through when you decide to reapply perhaps after 200 days. Goodluck!

ok. i didnt know. but his reason for travelling was baseless

The reason isn't baseless. Even someone on benefit can still deny self and save for a family holiday over time. I know how many months it takes me to save for a family holiday. This applicant simply stood no chance. The visa officer was in no mood to hang about. Experience shows one with a confident personality and convincing responses stand the best chances at such interviews as US visas. Reapply next time and better luck ok.

bros i think u took dis too lightly like most of us do in most things we do.
just knw dat getting a naija visa frm other countries too is difficult.
one advantage u need to have is dat u need to travel to @least another country b4 applying for US visa.this gives u an added advantage and u need to be convincing while replying questions. i would advice that u don't lie in any circumstance.
i did apply with ma wife once n got the visa even wen i told them that i'd like ma wife to deliver over there.
so its no big deal but some of us just don't prepare adequately before embarking on any serious venture.

Please stay in your country! And if you want to see your cousin badly, you can easily Use Skype Chat Video call.

You are traveling all the way from 9ja to US to see someone? You know how much the ticket would cost you? Be honest

The same thing happened to me at first my first interview date was cancel due to there network and they re schedule me for another 3weeks, which was about a month ago.... almost identical question as the OP, here is my own version

Embassy: What are you going to do in the US

Me: I'm going for a 2 weeks holiday in Manhattan, New York

Embassy: Do you have any relatives in the US ?

Me: NO

Embassy: Where will you stay during your visit ?

Me: I have booked a 2 weeks confirmed / fully paid accommodation at so so hotel in Manhattan

Embassy: What do you do in Nigeria

Me: I work for so so Logistics Company as Senior Administrative Officer

Embassy: How much do you earn

Me: I earn 230k Per Month

Embassy: Are you married ?

Me: Yes i am married with 2 beautiful kids

Embassy: Scroll through my passports (I have 2 passports attached together one expired and the new passport was issued in London) and asked which countries i have been to

Me: I have been to Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia and the UK (UK was a 4yrs student visa)

Embassy: I see you didn't make use of your Cambodia Visa, What happened ?

Me: I was going with a friend, we couldn't book the same flight so he went before me, i was to meet him 2 days after, he got there and 2nd day he was robbed, he called me to inform me its not safe so i cancel my ticket and didn't bother to visit the country.

Embassy: How long have you been working for your company

Me: 2yrs

Then she typed and typed then print out the almighty refusal letter and said i can reapply if i want

Now i think i understand why she refused me reading from experience people here

I think my answer was too straight forward and i applied alone leaving my wife and kids behind

Also at the time my bank statement balance was around 3Million Naira which ofcus she didnt bother to ask, meanwhile i have other business that fetch me money which i should have mentioned when she asked how much i earn

Do anyone believe i stand a chance if i reapply and correct the error i highlighted ?

Thanks.

What?
you are just reaffirming something I've had in me that some girls are dumbskull.
So he doesn't have an invitation letter b4 applying for a visa? So he wouldn't have shown them or they wouldn't have seen his invitation b4 asking those questions?
Probably he's going there on his own which shld be hotel reservation, why involve his cousin. The guy's way is not pure sef.

@Op, I strongly feel the cleaning job messed everything up, hard to believe a cleaning company will pay up to 180K in this present Nigeria.

BTW, go out and cast ur votes.

#BUHARI
Gbam how can you convince them that you take home every month 180k from cleaning job no way. Please go and cast ur vote for transformation . GEJ is the right man.

No don't do that, part of the reason they reject ia when you say what they dont ask you, and u might end of saying stuff that will 'koba' you and mind you she can always cut you off midway.....just reply calmly to only what is asked and hope for the best

@Op you should have said you are going for holiday. Also you should have mentioned the name of your company and i guess you should have stated you wanted to spend 4 weeks, sounds more realistic for a first timer. When they asked if you were married you didnt have to say you had a kid because you werent asked that.
Your salary as well you didnt have to say N180k after tax, you should have just stated the full amount.

Yankee visa is easy to get once you know your facts and always go study your application form properly before the interview date.

@OP, you were denied/ not eligible simply because you have no " travel history".

You've never taken a holiday before, it's strange you suddenly want to travel to us.

Before you re-apply next time, build a travel history. Start by going to places like Ghana, Kenya, Dubai or even SA for vacation.

It's quite difficult to get US, UK or Schengen visa with a virgin passport if you are below 40.

it's a "no-brainer" This is the best advice so far!

It's funny how people are just speculating the reason for the refusal. For every visa refusal, there's always a stated reason why one was refused so op should tell us their reason for refusing him.

The same reason they give every denied applicant; rejected under 214b. Once you see the blue paper then you know what time it is.

People say yankee visa is easy but e hard pass constipation.
