Now that they want change
They have no right to determine dia leader

From the last election, we can see that ibos CANNOT give the PDP victory in a statewide election.

In fact, I like this.
ibos ingratitude to Tinubus magnanimity over the years must be treated.
Tinubu's magnanimity? Hahaha... grin... so tinubu sells land now and they bought from him

If it's a propaganda, it behoves on the oba to come out and disown the utterances as quoted in the article. That will calm frayed nerves.

My dear, I have never been this angry in years! I hate threats of any kind! If I make a threat, I'd stake my life to keep to it! The tone and the choice of words by the so-called Oba makes my blood boil! I am Ekpokamalu Igirigi Olaabali, an Ohafia son. We have never been people to be threatened!

But thanks! Your response has served to calm me down a bit! I'm truly tired of this politics of ethnicity and tribalism in Nigeria! May God help us! It's particularly scary because our youths and intellectuals (who should know better) are endorsing it and fanning the ambers of discord!

My apologies if I my anger showed to much!

Lol @ bolded.

On a more serious note, its saddening what this country has turned into. Our youths who are supposed to promote unity, peace and progress are the ones fanning the embers of discord.

so you re advocating for igbos to vote against their conscience and give in to the threats of a daranged psychopath........
IS THIS THE CHANGE THAT I VOTED FOR!?

Please do not put dumb words into my post. I said they should cooperate with the Oba and never said anyone should vote against his/her conscience.

Apparently these leaders have been meeting with the Oba over a multitude of issues in the past, the admonition is for such cooperation to continue with reasonableness.

There is no need to, on the one hand, go to the Oba to protect one's interest, and on the other hand, publicly tell your people to go against the Oba's wishes. There are tactical ways to do things without selling your conscience.

Igbo leader should be wise and not bite the finger which.............

See how you just exposed yourself? It is called democracy. You have the right to vote the candidate of your choice. However you do not have the right to intimidate or coerce people to vote for you. The fact that the candidate a particular section of the nation did not vote for won, does not make those who voted against such a candidate "doomed to jostle for crumbs". The President of a nation is not the preside t for only a section of the nation or a political party.
am not against democracy, heck i will die to preserve it. am no ethnic bigot. my best padi is ibo. but the mentality that they have equal rights in lagos and that it is a no man land annoys me

Lol. These Igbo folks are innately boastful, troublesome, lack civility, and most of them don't understand what co-existence entails.

Hopefully, before the end of my life-span on nairaland - I'll see Igbos in their enclave get along and live peacefully, with Anambra folks not feeling superior to other Igbos; Abia not sacking civil servants from Imo and Enugu; Ebonyi folks not being looked down upon; Ngwa folks allowing other Igbo folks live peacefully in their lands etc..

If they can sort those problems out - I bet you they will stop having problems with other ethnic groups in Nigeria. grin

Go against the will of the oba and watch your flat heads decimated. That's the only things you senseless lots are good in; quoting statistics manufactured in aba. Dangote's businesses alone worth more than that of all the igbos in Lagos. I don't know how selling spare parts, phone accessories and fake drugs want to control the economy of a place. Please take your investments to aba coz we are not interested in them.

Ambode must be governor of Lagos! The owners of the land have spoken and any Igbo that doesn't concur can take the next bus to okija.

Just like Abuja, Lagos was the capital of Nigeria and now a commercial city and you still ask why the Igbos are there? Being industrious is for the benefit of the entire nation. An average Igbo man is not a bigot. We want the growth of Nigeria, so you guys should just chill. We have little focus in politics but don't take advantage of our undetermined ambition.

My dear, we all have some ancestry! I'm also of royal blood that is steeped in centuries of spirituality and tradition! But jokes apart, that is my traditional name! Lol! I unconsciously "thumped" my chest in blind rage!! I am a Christian and repudiate what the name stands for! God forgive me for even mentioning it!

It's saddening that our youths have lost focus! I attended a unity school, and I made good friends from all parts of the country! I am not married to someone of the same ethnicity, and I honestly wanted to marry an Igala or Yoruba person for personal reasons! But the quality of people I meet these days leaves much to be desired!!

I don't agree with d Oba, he surely doesn't have any right to force his idea of preferred candidate on the ibos. If Nigeria is truly one, he shouldn't threaten them with their places of origin
And somebody will come out and say one nigeria because of oil. If the Oba of Warri say nobody should vote for APC candidate in the State will these people supporting Oba,s comment will start talking rubbish? Nigeria a land were Oba chooses governor instead of the PVC.

Abeg the King should respect the will of the people. By the time the Igbos start to fight the yorubas in their state then they will say the igbos are people that love fight.
