I like APC. I don't like Tinubu or Ambode, I Like Jimi I like Fashola. I want to vote jimi but opposition party haven't allowed Lagos to be where it should. Even if it is for one term they should allow Amobde because it will favour the people of Lagos in the long run.

So its Ambode for me.

Just this time. Please my ndigbo people let's vote APC its for the greater good

No bro, i am not doing anything againt the yorubas. My younger brother and sister married from Oyo state. We have intergrated in Nigeria so much. I married from Benue. All i'm saying is the Oba should stop enforcing a candidate on a particular tribe. I am voting, and i know who i want to vote for.

Any body who support what the OBA have said must have a rethink.definitely Igbos will vote for JIMI AGBAJE, no threat will detire an Igbo man from doing his wish.Yes we fouth the civil war and lost but we will be back again. With this kind of comments is so obvious that you guys will give us Biafra so that we will finally leave Yorubas and Hausas alone for good

This Oba should know his limit. I am Igbo but an APC apologist. I have always campaigned and voted for AD to the present APC and will continue to vote any candidate of APC because there is no alternative to APC in Nigeria. For me, the emergence of Buhari is a dream come through. Having said that, I take exception to the threat of the Oba against my people. Why should he single out Igbos for such threat and who told him he has any right to dictate to people where or whom to vote for? He is certainly out of tune with democratic tenets. Somebody should tell him to retract such undemocratic threats before he spoils show for Ambode. With or without Oba's threat, Ambode is sure for Lagos and God will make it come through.

Truth Bro!
But the bolded is not restricted to Igbos alone, I lived in Plateau, same thing happens amongst the gumai, the angas and other Muslims tribes there.. Even in US (sometimes the other whites don't consider the Latino whites as true Americans) (the dumb ones of course)!

Most Humans, just thrive on hate and superiority!

But are they as clannish as Igbos? Why can't an Imo man, and an Anambra woman work in Abia's civil service without fears of being sacked, just because they're not from the state? Ngwas and Wawas complaining about other Igbo sub-tribes buying all their lands. Anambra and Imo fighting all the time etc.?

America is different. Latinos aren't white in the true sense of it, based on admixture and ethnic/racial classifications. You would've a point if you were to cite discrimination between German Americans and Anglo Americans. Yes, tribalism is a universal thing - but it's rare to see folks from the same stock act as clannish as Igbos - apart from banter.

The oba should order Jimmi to quite and endorse his preferred candidate since he is the owner of lagos state.the yorubas should continue to live in peace with their igbo neighbours and allow every nigerian to vote their choice...that's democracy.for those calling lagos no man's land'that is not fair and should not be encouraged by any reasonable person.atleast for the sake of real lagosians like jimmi and co.do not be provoked by yorubas from ekiti, osun, oyo and the rest of them to insult the good people of lagos indigenes.

When the #EkitiGate embarrassment was upped, the audio tape came out such that none can deny but the PDP-led government would not investigate due to vested interests..

If this statement credited to the Oba of Lagos is really true, please release the audio or video tape...

Sun newspaper is a PDP and SE newspaper always trying to heat up the polity. ..

Good one from the Oba.

A tribe that cant get her leaders into power should not be given the chance to destroy the opportunity of other tribes who are willing.

The oba is not scared he has spoken.

Take note!! He his an Oba not an Obi

grin

That is a useless threat, Jimi must win because he is also a citizen of Lagos. Only Ibo's vote will not win him the governorship seat, the Yorouba's will vote for him also.

La wah oooooooo

If the news is not gossip, Kabiyesi goofed big time. He could have done it better without threatening the Igbos.

This is democracy, people have the power to vote for their preferred choice.

I'm tired of this Igbo-Yoruba wahala.

As for the Igbos taunting and calling Lagos is no man's land, don't buy unnecessary job for yourself. Don't forget you'll cross several Yoruba states before you get to Lagos state. Stay away from unnecessary Job.

Live and let's live. The sky is big enough to accommodate the birds.

Lobatan. This Igbo/Yoruba issue don tire me sef.

You have ruined Ambode's chances of winning!

Igbo's won't vote for him. Irrespective of where you are we are still one Nigeria. You vote whom ever you like; nobody threatens or coerce you to vote against your choice.

Other royal fathers don't intimidate people living in their domains to vote against their choice.

That igbos live in your domain dosnt mean they are your slaves that you can ride upon any how. You don't feed them.
I greet you!

Countries around the world are moving forward and making breakthrough scientific discoveries while engineering towards a better accord, further enhancing the livelihoods of their citizens. It is very sad that this is April 2015 and some Nigerians would rather prioritize senseless political barbarous motions instead of trying to focus on reviving a fallen giant. We are all made of flesh and blood and nobody will escape death. While we are alive and still breathing, we should channel all this negative energy emanating from our tribal dissension and put it to good use as Nigerians are known to be an intelligent race when we decide to do things right. Yoruba brothers in support of the Oba's riot act, the igbos are on your land to do business while positively impacting on national growth with respect to the SME sector. It is strictly financial and a driving force for national growth. Commerce and growth in this sector is what you should concern yourselves with and nothing otherwise. I'm in my mid 20s and right now, my primary concern is a Nigeria that would compare with developed nations in the western world. What happens when 10% of our 170million + populace is thinking on this same path? It is not just a dream... It is the only way forward. That's why we strive to get educated on our home turf and overseas...to better the epileptic situation in the country. Two wrongs never ever make a right as you all know. Put aside your myopic perceptions and think far into the future...for the greater good. Our fathers and fore-fathers have entangled themselves in this web of resentment for the next tribe. It is very tragic and highly doleful that you young ones who should know better, thanks to a 21st century space age, are threading on this same path of impeded growth. Lagos is the commercial nerve of the nation and that's what's should be thought of the state. OPEN YOUR MINDS PEOPLE!!!!!! YOU ONLY LIVE ONES!!!!!! We were not put on earth to oppress our own for God sakes. We drive in convoys with bullet proof vehicles and throw lavish parties left, right, centre. To what end We make threats of exterminating our own because of some bullshit political reason. To what end? There are countries around the world for example that have already started building vehicles that run on hydrogen and oxygen to produce the energy in form of heat and water as exhaust. These countries are also making a transition from fossil fuel dependency(crude oil) to alternative means of energy and electricity generation. These technologies are already in existence... Where are we? Still struggling with an epileptic power grid system and some of us have the time to come on social platforms to indulge in senseless and meaningless activities. We all have limited time on earth. We should make it count...for a better and safer tomorrow. We can change the way we think, the way we see each other...this is the only way we can move forward. Our unborn and their unborn will need our efforts in order to survive the future.

His Royal Highness, Oba Riliwan Akinolu, the Oba of Lagos.....
I understand his emotional sentiments, as to who he prefers to govern his traditional territory. But arm twisting the voting population to do same is anything but democratic. Yes! The population of the igbo community in Lagos has swelled so much for them to influence political decision. This is a good reason for him to apply his royal wisdom in soliciting their vote, instead of threatening them with curse if they fail to do his wish. However, have taken time read and listen to several reactions from some arrogant igbo's around. Most of them throwing decorum into the wind by directly insulting the recognised symbol of authority and paramount ruler of indigenes of Lagos. One of the ignorant igbo agitator (an historical illiterate, I suppose) even went as far as calling the king a fool, that Lagos state is a no man's land. This offensive arrogance is not far from why the hausa's detest an average igbo man. Non the less, those igbo reactionaries, ifeanyi Uba inclusive, fanning the embers of war and hate should know that the Jimi Agbaje they are fronting for is a lagosian and would not fold his arms watching you insult his king. Besides, the interest of his kins men is priority to him. The Lagos I know and live in, has been largely peaceful, due to the unparalleled hospitality and tolerance of the natives of Eko akete. I request the king should be ignored for the sake of his stool, instead of the unnecessary vitriolic attack on him.

pls lets do away with double standard. its not right to force n intimidate people on whom to vote. We're looking for fairness in all strata to make nigeria move 4ward, so dear oba if the people in lagos make their choice allow it to stand, the same way nigerians wish at the federal level stood. Besides is lagos not part of nigeria n those there nigerians? We know u picked ambode congrats godfather.
