Nigeria can only be one nation if we stop this tribal sentiment, I've never for once seen a nigerian as a northerner, southerner or whatever, be a Nigerian and don't involve yourself with things that would make us more divided. tribe should not be involve when issues relating to the growth of Nigeria is expressed, because no matter how small a tribe is, they still contribute to the growth of the nation. so we should see ourselves as Nigerians only instead of a Nigerian from a particular tribe. as regards the topic, the igbo youths where right to demand an apology, fathers apologize to their sons, no shame in that, people make statements they later feel sorry for. but the oba of lagos made a very wrong statement, totally absent of thought or reason, there are several positive ways to make your reasons known to other sect on why they should support your candidate. nigeria is a nation with multi-ethnic tribes, and no matter where any of these tribes find themselves within the region of the nation, they are entitled their rights, first as a Nigerian. if we keep on seeing one tribe as better or superior than the other, then the purpose of being one nation is useless, for instance, when you say you prefer your legs to your hands or you neck to your waist, it is only when you removed that part from the whole, you would see how significant its importance is. the united states is made of different people from different region, and they don't joke with being an american even within the u.s.a. but here in Nigeria, a Nigerian would be shouting about being from a particular tribe. I just feel we should all believe in Nigeria, stop this ethnic stuff and focus on being a proud Nigerian. ehm.... please o... nobody should skin me. just my opinion. you don't have to comment on it. 1 Like |

This is my problem with Igbos, they do not know how maximize political advantages. Ohaneze should be using the Oba's gaffe to promote their political interest (i still fail to see how Jimi Agbaje represents igbo interests) instead of aggrievating the situation by issuing threats. What PDP should do is to quickly circulate the said message on all media and try and get sympathy from other tribes and even detribilized yorubas residing in Lagos. This would have been the best time to play the victim card instead of going into agressive mode. If Ambode and Tinubu does not manage this situation well and dissociate APC completely from the alleged Oba's statements, they might lose the elections due to sympathy votes from non yorubas and even other yorubas. |

It's a very big shame that most intellectual on this thread are blinded by tribalism, How can u people leave the dog that bite the child nd start blaming the child for shouting back at the dog, if the monarch can't apologize why then make a threat he can't withdraw, leaders lead by example, but the monarch is a great disappointment to his people 1 Like |
