Congratulates Nigerians on peaceful election

The United States Embassy in Nigeria has alleged electoral irregularities in Rivers and Akwa Ibom states.

In a press statement made available to THISDAY, while congratulation Nigerians on the governorship and House of Assembly polls, the embassy stated that the elections held in both states were inundated with irregularities.

"We have seen the reports of violence and alleged irregularities, particularly in Rivers and Akwa Ibom states", the statement added, calling on aggrieved parties "to pursue their grievances peacefully in the judicial arena".

While commending President Goodluck Jonathan and the President-elect, General Mohammadu Buhari, the embassy said it regrets any loss of life and destruction of property.

"We commend the leadership of Nigeria’s political parties, notably President Goodluck Jonathan and President-elect Muhammadu Buhari, for urging their supporters to conduct themselves peacefully throughout the electoral process", the statement added.

US therefore congratulated "the people of Nigeria and the Independent National Electoral Commission for an electoral process on April 11, 2015 that generally went well across the country and built on the success of the March 28 polling process".

Makes no damn sense for them to rig when it's obvious they would have easily won.

Perhaps they rigged so as to corroborate/validate results of the presidential election

America and her cohorts should face front.lf they closed their eyes to the rigging that happened in Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Niger during the presidential election, then they should go and die for calling for cancellation Rivers and Akwaibom gubernatorial elections.

If they like let them cancel the elections and redo it again one million times PDP will win with a wider margin.Udom is the choice of Akwalbom and Wike the choice of Rivers

Exactly. They wanted to justify their arbitrary results that confounded a professor so much that he forgot how to read numbers

Why should lives have to be wasted in rivers state when APC couldn't have matched Wike's machine and momentum?

I also believe they didn't want APC to have any representation in any of the legislative houses in the state and national level.

What pains me most is the massacre of chief Adube and his entire family in Obrikom, Onelga Rivers state.

All that wickedness for what?

Rubbish.....I guess Amadioha blinded their eyes with all the irregularities that happened in the north during the presidential election. Rigging or no rigging let them leave us alone, we don't need APC in the South South and East just as the northerners don't want PDP in their place

The world saw it, only some deranged pdp people didnt. Even though we knw wike is always going to be preffered nt for his personality but for the alleged believe apc(amechi, dakuku) betrayed the Clueless. I think its always good u do elections where who fails would truly knw he failed. Thats why u see the landslide by apc in the north kano, kaduna etc the pdp immediately accept defeat cos they knew they neva stood a chance. Dakuku wasnt given the benefit of the doubt even though we knew the outcome

they are talking nonsense. they are afraid that Nwike and his Akwa ibom counterpart will task their companies in these areas to take care of the communities where their oil facilities are... The should tell me where massive rigging didnt take place... why didnt they complain when even CNN beamed live coverage of under age children voting in Kano and other places on March 28th... USA hypocrites

What concerns America High commission on Nigerian elections?

Are the the election observers not enough?

Why is America's embassy acting like a parallel government in Nigeria?

If it is not a conspiracy that USA is too involved in our affairs, can we explain the reason why they are so involved?

Hear comes the conspiracy:

America is simply playing to gallery of Nigerian public to fake a friendship whilst secretly conspiring to deny our president elect his mandate; so that when we are eventually disenfranchised in a few weeks time by whichever means, suspicion would be deflected from them and their stooges / agents namely the likes of: Thief Obasanjo, IBB, Danjuma, Abdulsalami Abubakar, Sambo Dasuki who are all currently falling over themselves faking support for democracy in public.

Of course there was massive rigging in Rivers state and USA secretly supported it, but that is all irrelevant. [/size]

Amechi and Dakuku can go to court. I expect Amechi to know that anyway, it was the court that made him governor in the first place.
