Induction is nothing to worry about.
It's a way of starting labour and it's true dat it cld b successful or not but either way, healthy mother and baby is the priority and the goal. God dat has brought u dis far won't forsake u. One love

OMG! so so sad.. usually b4 induction, ur gynae palpates d tummy to b sure baby is in right position. also, u are asked if u av any complaints (possibly 4 a scan if need be). & while on induction, mother n baby are checked frequently say every 30 mins. it's d fault of d hospital abeg, am just angry here. wish I could lay my hands on d docs n nurses on duty dat day n give dem a piece of my mind! 9 mnths for nothing!!! If labour doesn't progress, a CS is advised to save baby as induction can stress a baby wch is most likely what happened to ur friend nt endless waiting.. shuu! pls lets know d name of d hosp n location. hugs to her, its well. God wil replace her loss soonest.

PS- expectant mums, pls n pls, try and read preg n delivery materials- it goes a long way so u can monitor happenings and question ur docs n nurses so they know they are nt dealing with a novice they can just bamboozle.

Thanks sis,I'm scared because I know if it doesn't work out next thing is cs. I've heard a lot of things these days, my mum asked me to do away with any metal on my body that it delays labour, my sis asked me to remove my attachment etc

Everything you have said cannot be overemphasized enough. The hospital was negligent and should be blamed here. Induction itself is quite harmless. The baby and mother should be checked often to ensure they are not stressed out and should have been wheeled to the theatre immediately any sign of stress is observed. And this is the same procedure for a woman going through natural labor so I wonder what went wrong with the hospital team. Sheer negligence!

Mothers should also try and read up like you said and ask questions in the hospital even if you are irritating the medical team cuz I know in Naija, the doctors don't really like you asking too many questions but it is your health and they can't love you like you love yourself.

Sorry I am ranting and repeating all you said. It is so annoying and heart wrenching losing a baby at this stage all due to human carelessness.

omg, you are so so rite. induction is harmless. when i started dialating @ 5 months and started bleeding, my doctor had to induced me in order to fasten the process of pre-term labour and it went well. my baby didn't survive beco's the lungs were not developed. its a very big mistake by the hospital your friend used. so so sorry for her lose.

By evening I ws vomiting n cldn't eat anything nt even water n d same thing continued today. I'm vomitting n still cn't eat, drink water, let alone take my drugs. Having slight pain in my tummy like there's wound there n I'm a bit weak. Shld I be worried? Dn't know if it has anything to do wt d eggs or not. Pls what do I do or take? Its urgent n my ANC is nt until 2 days away(saturday). 10x in advance mummies

Mamas in d house, I hail o. Jst coming out from 8weeks scan n doc said no fetal pole seen jst gestational sac. Is dt possible at 8weeks? He said I shud come bak nxt week for a repeat scan. God help me o. #sad#

My dear, lets keep our fate in God still for a miracle. I heard a doctor tell me that too in dec and by Jan, another doctor showed me an active baby from a different scan center. So dont give up. I believe God and am with you in prayers.

Something like that came to my mind as well cos I've known some people equate cs to faithlessness (and @deezou mentioned the hospital being the ""most reliable" they have which almost excludes negligence) not realising that each person's journey/story is different... ...but what done is done, God will console them..

Try to keep her company for sometime so she has less time to brood, God will bless them with the one that will stay to be named and take care of them in their dotage.

Ummtwins,euphorbia and modath thanks 4 d prayers.they told d couple from d start dat they would perform cs if anytin went wrong and d coupled agreed.they also monitored d mother and d baby all through through cs.it is just d will of god and she accepted it even trying to console d father,wish u could see how she was joking around when she was discharged.alhamdulillah she is now healthy.
