Very offensive. I don't understand how that term got on the front page.

Nigerians need to stop throwing words they don't know the meaning of around
really, mulatoo was a term used by slave owners for mixed breed slaves and the ones who would supervise the black slaves, they also used the term half bred and mangy dog...i guess its one of the ills of blackberry education

True.

I doubt the person looking for his dad will appreciate being called that too

2008 to date is a long time.

It was wise he tried it again in 2015, when technology and social medial have also enjoyed wider reach.

He is ironically the one who WAS lost. His dad is waiting for him.

It is very obvious the mother has so much to explain than to ask.

Anyway i will share ,if that is all i could do to help.

It sounds like the woman was hiding the letters for 20 years. That is evil.

It's rare that men don't want contact with their children, contrary to what some might claim. The truth is that they want nothing to do with the woman.

I hope the father hasn't passed on.

Please moderator or whoever pushed this story to front page - Lalasticala and co. Mulatto is an offensive term used to describe someone of mixed heritage. Please edit that stuff - everyday we learn.

Yeah Mynd just called my attention to the fact that it is a rather derogatory term to address a mixed descendant.

You guys didn't have to comment.
Put yourself in his shoes, for some people-they need parents to direct their lives well enough to give it a meaning. For others, they give their lives a meaning by themselves.

Show some sympathy.

What/who is mulatto?

**modified**

Mulatto is a term used to refer to a person who is born from one black parent and one white parent, or more broadly, a person of mixed white and black ancestry in any proportion.

I think he just may have found his dad as someone who knew the family just sent him a facebook message on the 24th

"Sabo Yusuf Machudo @Rod, greetings of the season. I know your family roots from the 60s. My family lived with yours as neighbors since 1920s in a village called Kurra Falls in (Jos) present Plateau state. Your father Mr. Hamidu and his wive Mrs Mamuda your mom visited Furra Falls last in late 60s, may be you can remember when he was working in Jos then. Your mother taught me short hand and typing in the secondary school(Bukuru) in 1969 to 70. Your Nigerian family are in Barikin Ladi near Jos presently. I am sure you will like to connect with them."

Good there is a lead now. machudo is however not saying much about the father Mr. Mamuda although he knows with certainty where the young man's Nigerian family are residing. I hope and pray that the Dad is alive.

Rob Mamuda has not had contact with his dad since when he snapped the attached photo. If you know Hamidu Mamuda in Jos Plateau state or somewhere who fits the description on the picture, please help.

Good riddance to bad rubbish

At least you have come for your father

My friend, your home country deported these african fathers without considering the future negative impact on the children like you. There are so many grown up guys like you roaming around the streets of New York and London looking for their fathers
