Bros abeg where are the oils located in Lagos and Ogun? It's like you are not aware companies in Lagos pays tax to LASG.

Besides companies can always relocate when the need arises
This is a myth, widely believed but NOT true. Companies do not pay tax on money earned elsewhere. They pay tenement rates and any other tax relating to properties they own and run but many companies are tenants in rented offices and do not have such obligations.

Those companies that pay tax on their operations are those that manufacture in Lagos.
Often you hear a lot of Nonsense about oil companies paying tax to LASG .It is untrue.

Their workers who work in Lagos pay tax to LASG but the actual companies do not. At any rate the tax rules for oil companies are quite different and governed by a different set of rules. Oil money is not treated for tax purposes in the same way as Company profits from the likes of Dangote,Cadbury etc
The main manufacturers in Lagos are not relocating anytime soon and those that do go mostly to Agbara in Ogun STate

Ayiri is a hypocrite. was he a billionire before amnesty programe? if not then i urged the militants to pay him a surprise visit. amnesty monies were paid to him for the boys and he converted it to personal use and became a billionire overnight. the relative peace we have now is because of amnesty. Nigeria enjoys high oil exploration is because of amnesty.

Only fools do suicide bombing.... If you have ever been on iol rigs before you will know you are not allowed to even take pictures because of the high concentration of gas in the atm. My dear, practically every stated now has oil including the most abused north.
Now that oil is no longer as valued asa before , what's the issue on it?
Mind u agriculture has and will always be one of our major source of revenues, we provide high % of jobs thans to agric

Yes oil was used to build infrastructurebut is that what we are using to maintain it? And mind u oil revenue was not the only source we used to build nigeria including ports.

We have reached the period where oil is no longer a big deal as lots of countries now have . We are falling on agric which is most favourable as most xcountries geograapghical settings don't support agric( thank God)

And guess what? The same north that we have been insulting as leeches are the major farmers, the north is where most mineral resources are found and has fertile soil. They are the producers of the tomatoes ,pepper, onions( just imagine these 3 alone)

South south cannot continue to hold nigerians to ransome over what they can't even defend or make use of

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Nigeria

for ur mind...Edo state is going into agriculture big time...soon the relevance of the north would be zero as that of the west is now...

There's oil somewhere up north now and Kogi is NC. What about gold and gemstones? Agriculture alone is even enough for the north. The only area that will suffer is the SE, landlocked and no land to grow, the small 2*2 Square mile land is being threatened by erosion.

mcgaius:

Buhari will only pay Boko Haram with the proceeds from tomatoes, cow, yam and not with Niger delta oil money.

Anyone against amnesty should make research on how Norway petroleum is a blessing to Norwegians. For instance how their fishing industry is relatively intact and booming as a result of viable environmental protection of their ecosystem (and by contrast how fishing and other livelihoods of the Niger Delta folks have been adversely affected for the benefit of this country). The reasons for militancy abound and are obvious. If the amnesty must go, a proven alternative must be in place. There will be consequence if 'The Goose That Laid the Golden Eggs is killed'.

I have warned Igbos who are banking on the emotion of Ijaws by forcing themselves on Niger-delta; Ijaws are only part of Niger delta.

There is nothing like United SS. Ijaws are only pained cos their son lost the election and Igbos quickly tapped into that by attaching SS to SE in all their hatred campaign these days but Igbos ll be shocked when Ijaws finally understand that they as Ijaws are on their own With Igbos.

No doubt, the amnesty programme needs reviewing. I believe the money paid to this ex militants should be channeled towards developing the localities through the provision of basic infrastructure that impacts on the lives of the majority instead of a few greedy lot. These guys pocket the money, and then create an empire for themselves in the midst of the poor majority.
Re: Ayiri Emami Urges Buhari To End Amnesty Program For Ex Militants by royalcatier: 8:19am On May 02, 2015
I wish it can happen like that, but the power that be, as there won't be any reason for the country to be together, and the offshore oil within 200 nautical miles would pose problem on sharing formula.

I do not think these jokers realize how happy we will be if they start bombing stuff. We are still figuring where to put those displaced by Boko Haram so you will give us a ready solution. For one I know the IJaws are the ones feeling grieved. When they were flexing did they carry the EFiks or Ogonis or Ikwerres along? Well We shall deal with any trouble makers One state at a time starting with Bayelsa. Evacuate the State as in No Human persons remaining .Not One!! how many are they ? It should take about 3 months to relocate all the civillians to Chibok and then we know any person remaining is militant. Next we LEVEL the entire state and bring ing in more sensible fishermen from Gwoza and Chibok. Renaming Yenagoa as New Gwoza and Nembe as New Chibok. The Ijaws will point in 40 years time "we used to live on that street".
Go and ask the Palestinians they will enlighten you. If we have to sacrifice oil for two years so be it but violence will achieve nothing

Do not be surprised that if you do not bomb we will bomb pipeline and blame you anyway just to get things started. It does not take one week to empty a town of civilians. By the time the UN get involved your buses will have arrive on the shores of Lake Chad your new home

For me OBJ never failed. So long as he murdered those modafvckers or atleast their family, then he never did. Buhari should clean these communities of any militant oriented tendency. Kill any modafvcker. If oil falls, it affects us all including those in the region.

No government should be held to ransome by a community or be at the mercy of them. Else every where militants will spring up.
