Na wa o...you na just dey para for here as if we get other substitute. Besides no one is forcing anyone to subscribe though. Only if we have active price regulatory bodies all these wouldn't have happened. Competition sef no dey

If you can't afford the subscription, back off. You can't compel a business entity to reign on loss

Demand and Supply determine the price
If price is too high demand will reduce
then depending on the price elasticity of demand for that product
If demand for DSTV service in Nigeria is price elastic, then they will not try to increase the price, because their revenue will reduce
but if it is price inelastic, then they will make more money by increasing the price

It is an imperfect market, so market forces will come to play

What happened to Hi Tv

DSTV hijacked the English Premiership rights from them and that led many football lovers to abandon them.

Also DSTV, MTN and Shoprite are good at using 'Drink and Win' grin grin grin to hoodwink Nigerians into continuous subscription like the ongoing win a house by MTN, win a trip to dubai by DSTV

Bros,
i just noticed that you post this in virtually all the thread you visit. How did you achieve the automation? or are you copying from your previous posts? Back to the matter, lets wait till He assumes office before we can tell. For now, there is no regret as Jona is still in control.

Well DSTV is right. The Nigerian government or the courts can't decide how much DSTV charges. If you feel its outrageous, don't pay. Its that simple.

Bros, remove sentiments or anger for the homophobic S.Ans aside, DSTV is right. Law is law, and we're governed by them. The law sides them on this one. The court can't regulate prices for them. Nigerian government just have to find another means to curb this greediness by DSTV. Because If left unchecked, only our looting elites will be able to afford DSTV monthly subscription.
law is law? What the SAN of DSTV said is just a public statement............. Its a free market but they can't flux price with no due reasons....... Paying more for same quality is exploitation....... The gov't as u rightly said has got ways to protect its citizens from such

Nigerians are simply too blind to see the wrong in dictating to Multichoice how to run their business.

But Multichoice is right though. If you are not satisfied with their cost, try other alternative. What we need is to provide the environment to attract investors into the digital broadcast sector that will compete against Multichoice and provide alternative
