Those calling for the heads of the "slowpokes" what will you say about those of you who were in support of the alleged derogatory speech?
Definitely I knew it was a case of poor reporting that's why I just observed the unbridled hate amongst Nairalanders. Both for and against the misinformation. Like I said earlier it was those in support of the speech who need to get a hate check. A time will set all aright.

I am no Ibo but nobody will hear someone said something like that about his tribe and keep quiet.
Especially given the recent infamous hate speech from the Oba and the rapist/doctor in the US.

Forget about WS for a minute. Is the fake speech wrong?
Totally wrong... GMB got over a hundred thousand votes in IMO,,being the only state with a strong APC structure in the SE. Were those votes bought with food and Money as well? No. If the APC had more influential politicians in the SE like okorocha, they'd have been able To campaign better in the grassroots. Being that whoever wins between the two major contenders wouldn't produce a president or vice from the SE zone, majority of the folks voted according to their conviction.

I NEVER for once believed he made such idiotic and inflammatory statements, because if after profiling the Prof, a man of great repute and stature, it is only unlearned people who will still believe he is capable of saying such nonsense, and in front of a prestigious crowd as Havard's for that matter!

They want to pull Kongi down. Their plan o wa failure. The reactions and name calling made me deeply ashamed of some people here. Where's slimmy05? Who's the baby now?

As for The 'Babble', Kongi should treat their fuckup with genteel savagery. Junk journalists without any respect for professional ethics. I wonder how they could publish such a story without verification. Shame angry

this is why i keep saying buhari should not take any false news peddled against his govt by the media lightly the way gej did..he should sue them broke until they close down...bunch of idio.ts....even reputable media houses like vanguard and punch spread lies..thats is why i respect sahara reporters they always try to back up their stories with physical evidence unlike others where the writer will sit in a beer parlour start quoting voices in his head and claim 'anonymous source' a so called 'insider'

Thank God for countries like Indonesia, China, Malaysia, etc, which have been and shall continue to eliminate the expendable commodities and waste products from the SE of Nigeria. More grease to their elbows.

Where are people like you produced....

Its amazing the amount of hatred people can spew on other tribes. There are tens of thousands of tribes all over the world, it would be a great character flaw if we can only tolerate our own tribe.

I am not usually moved when, after making a bad statement, someone will come back and claim being quoted out of context or misrepresented. Does it mean that the news company just woke up and forged those statements? Or did the respected Prof say something like that. Didn't the Oba of Lagos also claim that he was quoted out of context? There is no smoke without fire!

even the media knows that y1bos are the easiest to wind up their sentiments and outcries like bush babies.

Another embarrassing crying wolf where there is none. Same with Fashola, same with the Oba and the cardiologist.

Can't this chest beaters just learn?

Why the selective apology? Did you people apologise to GEJ on all the lies and propaganda you published against his government and his wife? You all will fall in the pit you have dug.As for prof.Soyinka that is what he gets since he has reduced himself to mouth piece of politicians. He called the president wife shipopotemus.Has ha forgotten so soon the amount of corrupt money paid to him to deliver so called lectures by Governors who can't pay salaries now.SHame.

I ignored that trash of a thread cos i know my amiable Prof wont say such words. The painful thing to me is someone accusing me wrongly on that same thread again, Prof Wole supports biafra right from Day 1 and even support the Niger Delta militants then. We should learn to verify stories before insulting people.

Now would all the insults sent in Soyinkas way from the children of anger be retracted ?

Most of them are actually jealous of the Nobel prize which none of their generation can never achieve
are you in your right senses?Wole soyinka was crowned the noble laurette for the year 1986 in literature by the swedes and norwegian government while chinua achebe was accorded the father of modern african literature by the americans and the british after he release his first novel 'THINGS FALL APART' in 1958 and later he was accorded the grand father of african literature and also the most successful african writer.so what's the jealous all about?

Don't blame Nairalanders , blame the cable news . Who wouldn't react if his tribe was insult like that , plus some silly nairaland yoruba bigots where supporting the insult to provoke the insulted tribe the more. If you are in their shoes , you will react the same way .
