Wallahi! One has to be on his/her toes! Just imagine how allegations fly around Nairaland? Imagine if it was in "real" life situations! Sometimes the views of people here scare me!! I ask myself, would such people give me a benefit of doubt if a mistake happened in real life? The answer is a resounding "No!"
All they would see is my ethnicity and pronounce me guilty in the court of public opinion!

No one would think of begging for me, because my name contains an Ijaw name, an Igbo name, and an English name!

Hmmmm!!! This life..one has to be very smart or else...dem go use person head do isi-ewu.

France has a tight security checks now and they will question you're whole life to be sure you are not there for some shady deals.

I mean can one just cross-check himself & his luggage to be cock-sure you got nothing implanted on you b4 proceeding for the proper check? I think that will do a bit of help at least....

This shouldn't be regarded as a tribal thing by anyone, it doesn't help the main issue. I'm not so sure she'll blaming her tribe while sitting in that cell awaiting death, she must have accepted it as a wrong turn that she's paying dearly for and that's my point, our choices in life are individual.
it is not a usual trend for people to start attaching tribal sentiments to things. Every drug dealer or fraudster is an igbo man. This is sure a path that would only divide Nigeria.

it's very hard to start checking your luggage. You are advised to be with your luggage at all times even if you're going to the toilet.

Thesame thing one dimwit did while in Nigeria. He claimed to be a frequent traveller but was with 2 luggage he wanted to carry on board as hand luggage. Since I had oby a bag pack he begged I assist him with one, I told him no.

depends on the nature and how your attorney helps defend your case, but you'll surely get a jail term and not death sentence

I think that's better, cos in all these Asian countries them no wan hear whether na you get am or na setup....once they catch you na time up be dat while the main drug barons keep cruising in private yatchs with the best chiks. Reforming the individual is a better option if guilty not death sentence cos as time goes on, you might realize the person is actually innocent from his classes.

It is such a pity, cos dis girl could be innocent in d sense that she didn't know that such stuff was planted in her luggage. Cos on malaysians visa it is written drug trafficking is punishable by death (in red ink)boldly.it is well

The warning is all over the place. Don't feel sorry for any greedy bastard (male or female) that gets caught.

It is a game of chance. You win, you flex to the admiration of your peers. But If you lose, be ready to face the lethal injection or firing squad.

Do I feel sorry for her? No. I am tough on crime.

Yes, an Igbo, but most importantly, she's a NIGERIAN. The foreigners don't see us as Hausas, Yorubas or Igbos, but as Nigerians.

You guys really need to chill with all these ethnic tinged utterances. They're gonna do us no good.

Guy, you wouldn't want to be treated like criminal when you absolutely know nothing about a crime. I know how many times I don get plenty rift with security agency romancing me in an improper way all on the name of search let alone someone treating me like a con. undecided. When I got Chicago, there was a stop and search as they got an Intel. The cop asked me for my ID I showed him and he also asked if he could take a pic of it incase something happens to me. I asked him if it was necessary he said no, I told him thank you I have a guardian.
