When did that "nature" start to manifest. It is also in the nature of the Ibo to make empty boasts and to delude himself. Tell us why Ibos never dispersed before Nigeria was created We know of Fulani and Ijaw dispersal tell us where the Ibos dispersed to in 1850 . Ibos did not even venture beyond their villages to other Ibo villges then
Ibos are dispersed because the land in the SE is overcrowded and agriculturally unproductive so stop trying to embroider what is a desperate situation. Why searching for "greener" pastures? because there are no pastures at home. Face the bitter truth
Regarding violent secession; we know you for your boastfulness so these empty words impress no one. That is what your NATURE is ;braggadocio

And the question remains, why are you against secession? Is it really your problem what challenges the Igbos face after they leave?

After the civil war. Reconciliation, rehabilitation and reconstruction started in Lagos the Nigerian capital.

Now should the insurgency end, the reconstruction and rehabilitation must as well start from Abuja.

What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

Or are some people more special than others in an equal Nigerian state?
Yes some people are more important if it is easy, tell you state soil to produce oil so that we can become equal. Nigeria unity is a fraud.

I am not ,I very much support it. I just do not believe in violence at least not as a first step. What have Ibos actually done to achieve secession after the last debacle other than make noise. Is going to war the only way?

The sum of our fear’s curiously taking shape, and may come sooner than we originally predicted...

With the current wave of triumphalism, and hectored rhetoric, coming from a section of the political class, and egged on by some truly naive, and gullible followership, I am afraid, this incoming administration, may capitulate to the ridiculous-and the hegemonic, and superintend a rudderless presidency, overrun in the ensuing chaos- a sobering epitaph, from the smoulders of a wasteland, that once defined a country. Buhari, appears to be the architect long spoken of….

This is really deep... #Respect!

I thought you know that Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe was born in Northern Nigeria in 1904, ten years before Nigeria had its name. At Zungeri where his parent lived as second home.

The north is desperately trying to precipitate crisis in Nigeria. They will lose even this one they are presently getting if they attempt to push their luck too far. First, they started with the stupid assertion that the whole country is oil producing 'host community', and as if that madness is not enough, they are coming up with this one. They should be held responsible for bringing down GMB's administration with all these moronic commentaries.

I remember a story Chinua Achebe told of the Hawk that told its child to return the chick of the mother who kept silent and keep that of the hen who raised all kind of hell.
I also remember the teaching of Sun Tzu in the Art of War ; to appear weak when you are strong and strong when weak.

The SS will do well to learn these lessons. For now they are talking too much which tells me they are weak. They should shut up find some real leaders ,make a plan and implement it.
Can someone please tell me how blowing up pipelines is a PLAN?
Strategic thinking eschews emotions which is what is dominating the discourse today. When reality is analysed in cold way the SS will realize they need Leaders with vision not militants or empty hats. They also need friends within and outside "friendship" of real value is never given out of sentiment it carries a price. The SS must really ask itself whether the last 5 years of GEJ served any long term purpose in terms of strategic advantage or friendships. Even WITHIN the SS is there now greater unity? How useful has Edwin Clark been?
I will ask who are the top 2 or 3 politicians from the SS that are committed to a resource control or secession agenda. Is a man who spends $1000 dollars on cocktails and snacks and posts the receipt online the Messiah of the SS?
Anger is good but achieves little without a strategy and right now there is NONE
Nice

u are unreasonable here, Before the intrusion of the British. The whites(I meant the other Europeans before the British ) 'Jaja of Opobo' who migrated from Mbaise and became the king of Opobo, had been dealing in Palm Oil with non-British, thats with other Europeans before the British discovered this part of the world.

Stop that ur half baked history and blind arguements.

What an irresponsible statement from a very irresponsible governor. So the collective wealth of the Lower Niger should be used to fund the NE and tackle terrorism when we(OWNERS) are even demanding for 50% and pushing for referendum? Shetimma should get used to the fact that in comming months/years, there will be limited allocation to his Borno state because wwe are determined to push for our demand till the very end including the call for referendum.

one determination i never see(tompolo boyloaf and asari don't count cos they are in it for themselves and not the ND)come to think of it so are your governors reps senators councillors, damn you guys are screwed

barcanista:

If there is "untapped petroleum" in the North why not liase with the FG to allow IOC to explore and use same for the development of the NE while the people of Lower Niger (SE +SS) use theirs for their own development?

Everybody should control their resources and mind their business. To your tent O'Nigeria.
