Hello everyone,
Went for my interview and I was turned back, my bar code was different from the one submitted in d embassy, I was given a letter n asked to reschedule after two days, good news is dat my hubby n two kids got d visa, so it was mixed feelings for me,
I bless God, all things work together for good, has this happened to anyone? Wat can I do to avoid this? I need help o and fast embarassed

abujaniv:
Greetings Nairalanders,

Please review the guidance and regulations below to ensure that you are prepared for your visa interview:

• Applicants must submit their online DS-160 applications two business days prior to the interview date. Applicants who fail to do so may be turned away and required to schedule a new interview and pay a new visa fee.

• Applicants are not permitted change or modify the DS-160 application once it has been submitted. Please check that all information is correct when assisting others with their applications.

• The completed DS-160 application form will generate a confirmation page with an alpha-numeric barcode, which must be used to schedule an interview appointment.

• Applicants must also print the DS-160 confirmation page and bring it with them to the interview. The alpha-numeric barcode on the DS-160 confirmation page will be compared to Mission Nigeria’s applicant entry list. If the barcode on your confirmation page does not match the barcode on the entry list, your will be turned away and instructed to schedule a new appointment and pay a new visa fee.

• Attempts to manipulate the appointment system – such as selecting a visa class for which you are ineligible – as a means to procure an earlier appointment date will result in additional fees and processing time, as you will be turned away and required to schedule a new appointment and pay a new visa fee.

• Similarly, all drop box visa applicants must register their MRV fee receipts through the appointment system and answer the drop box screening questions in order to participate in this program. Drop box-eligible applicants must include the Drop Box Confirmation Page in their application packet in order to qualify.

Our Best,
AbujaNIV

@bold is from the VO, so you need to book another appointment and pay another visa fees

Good morning all. I have been a silent reader. I decided to go through JFK using Air France. My journey was smooth till we landed in New York and were not allowed to go close to the airport. That was when the drama started. I am not a good story teller but here it goes. Then the captain says that the police was going to search that a threat had been identified on our plane. For those who watch international news stations you may have come across the news that a flight was escorted to New York with fighter jets. I was on board that flight. They didn't let us know the gravity of the situation. We were kept in the plane for over an hour. When we were eventually let out, it was like a scene in the movies. From K-9 units, to FBI agents, police, fire trucks even people in bomb disposal gears where waiting for us. We were then asked to to line up and identify our bags before a bus to took us to the airport. It was then an airport security officer asked us if we were on the air france flight from paris and we said yes that he told us that there was a call that there was a bomb on our plane. Bomb ke. Bomb wey no catch us for Nigeria na for US them wan blow us up? After leaving the airport to get to our connecting flights there were so many tv cameras waiting to get the scoop from passengers. Finally got to gate of my connecting flight...and there we were on CNN.

This was my first trip to the US...it will definitely take me some time to get over this scare.

Well for those using JFK, i traveled with my mum. The CPD officer did not spend more than 2 mins with both of us. Just asked what I came for. How long I was staying (11 weeks). How much I had on me ($8,500) Who was paying for the hospital bills (Myself and Husband). Where I was going to give birth. Then stamped us both for 6 months. We declared food stuff but were not sent to agriculture. No secondary inspection either.

@shawbabe...i sent you an email. pls wats the name and contact of the obgyn you used. thank you.

Mehn I haven't checked that email in a long time. So I'll just answer u here.
I used North Atlanta Obgyn @ 5780 peachtree Dunwoody road, +14042550621. Dr's fee is $2200.
U have to send in ur records from naija or wherever u have been receiving pre-natal care. They'll look thru it and let u know of they'll take u on and also the cost depending on how many weeks u are when they take u on. I joined them at 28 weeks. They have like 8 Drs there. U can pick one or they'll assign u one.
As for my particular Dr, I'm not sure I wanna spill her name becoz I'm a jealous patient! Lmao! She was so good to me and hilarious lady. She made sure she was the one that delivered my baby. Love her for that! Anyway beg me small let me think and decide whether to tell u her name. grin
