Hey Shaggy,

I believe you'll want to search for schools with courses like Communication Systems and Networks etc. Information Tech is a very broad field and there is a chance you may not end up with anything on Voice if you narrow your search based on that.
That being said, why is IELTS a challenge ? Is it the time, or resources you do not have ? Because even though it doesn't help that much in your admission process, it does at the Embassy Interview. A visa officer wants to see something you've got that others don't and given that almost every other country out there wants to see a language proficiency exam, they wouldn't just nod their head to NO language proficiency exam. If you've got the time to sit for one, I'd strongly advise you to do so.

And your admission process/decision would be a lot more easier, since you're already in the field... one thing is opt in for some Vendor certs if you can. VoIP and stuff... CCVP etc. Believe me you, it can be a bit tough but it does pay off in the end as it quickly gets you a seat with a HR. (just a little something 2 years down the line).

All the best, bro.
Hi baba. Im taking my IELTS in July so as to prepare for the summer admission (Bachelor Degree). Please how do I prepare to score the expected 6.5. Also can downloading the whole Google German Translator with Sounds on my Phone help as regarding learning German till admission time?

Hello House,
Getting ready for Visa application but one more clarification is needed plssss.

Going by the visa application requirements, I saw clearly that the Primary school leaving certificate and secondary (waec) are needed.
the problem is, the names on my Primary school leaving Cert is might actually be confusing and lead to maybe doubt or denial.

My full name is Chiemeka kennedy Nzehika and I have made a conscious attempt to maintain this full name in all my papers since I became responsible for my actions.

But when I was 12yrs my Primary school Cert was issued as Emeka kennedy Nzehika maybe my parents didn't consider the implications b4 giving the short form of my native name.

Please house, must I include this Primary certificate in my visa application?. or Can I just forget about it and go ahead with my Sec cert and the rest? Is there any thing I can do to forestall any shortcoming?. Pls I need your contribution especially those who have gone through this stage before.

It is always helpful when you spend some time to read previous posts. It could have saved you the stress of sending long epistles...You can submit other documents without the primary school leaving certificate or even the "biographically old documents".
God's favour in your visa application.

Google German Translator ? I am sure that will be of some help but I'd advice you to do some more findings. There are audio files everywhere, youtube tutorials too. You'll need to invest time in this.

IELTS is not as hard as you think if you prepare for it. You could even aim 8 if you do your home work well. The Internet has got almost everything you'd need to study for it. Buy books, go through question banks.. and you can score at least a 7.5. 6.5 may be the UNI requirement but a 6.5 is very low.

thanks for clearing that up, but I have another question regarding the notarization of documents by the embassy
I read the process is free of charge but then again another 10€ to be paid for the additional copies which have to be made by the embassy
can you please explain better? Cus am going to the embassy tomorrow and I don't want to be caught unaware

I have really never certified my documents at the embassy, but from what I got from their seminar, at the embassy when I was there and from others, they will charge you money, N1200 (then) when you want them to make the photocopies for you, if you didn't come with your own photocopies of the documents you want certified.
I hope you have taken note of other procedures?

When you are applying to any school in Germany. If you have someone here that you can use as c/o when applying you have a better chance of getting a swift reply because the person you use as c/o can be calling/disturbing them on your behalf...#justanadvice

Oh I think this answers the question. the money(10€ equivalent in naira according to the consular website) is meant for extra copies you failed to make yourself.. I already have 3 copies each for the 3 schools am applying to( although the schools don't require all the same documents)

I believe I have.

It all depends on how much connection you can establish with the person before the VO and also how well you show that you know the person.

Hehehehe! Fellow akokite!! laughing in Bavarian!! grin grin.....Even people wey do masters there still dey look well... and you are not even considering PhD? You probably do not know a word in German too.

Except you get a direct job offer from Germany with adequate invitation, consider the rest mere wishful thinking.

checking thread 1 from pages 300-400 I think should be your best bet..
The area and school was very elaborately discussed and dissected there.

Sorry I saw your PM later but it bounced back with the dreaded Mailer Daemon.
Hhmmm.... Siegen may not be too self sufficient without the help of other neighbouring cities. The good thing about NRW is that the cities there are compact and close to each other from Leverkusen, Dortmund, Duisburg, Gelsenkirchen, Hagen, Cologne, Bochum, Mochengladbach, Bonn, Essen, Aachen, Düsseldorf and not forgetting outliers like Paderborn and Bielefeld and unfortunately Siegen is one if those located in the outskirts. Since the semester ticket is going to cover the whole NRW you may be lucky but the only challenge is that the major closest city to Siegen in NRW, Cologne (apart from Hagen) is more than 1 hour 30 mins apart.
However, Siegen in itself is an OK place.
