That sacking info of the 13200 teachers is a total falsehood. You have started receiving salary and it was a due process employment.

Thankgodiyke:
Governor Nyesom Wike is set to sack 13,000
workers employed by his predecessor, Rotimi
Amaechi. This comes as Rivers House of Assembly
passed a resolution empowering the Governor to
sack the board of the State Civil Service
Commission accusing them of breaching the rules
and illegally employing workers into the state
Service.
The Rivers lawmakers passed the resolution on
Tuesday after grilling the Chairman of the Service
Commission, Mr Ngo Martins Yellowe on the floor
of the House based on petitions accusing the
Commission of not passing through due process
before employing workers in past three years.
Yellowe, however, told lawmakers that the
Commission under his leadership obeyed the
constitution and laws guiding employment into the
service.
Observers of Rivers politics however see the
invitation and quizzing of Ngo Martins Yellowe by
the lawmakers as a prelude to the sacking of the
Commission appointed by the immediate past
administration of Governor Chibuike Amaechi and
also the sacking the civil servants employed three
years to date, especially over 13,200 teachers and
others engaged by the immediate past
administration of Governor Chibuike Amaechi.
The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission,
RSIEC, Chairman Prof Augustine Ahiazu was
invited to answer questions about how local
government election was conducted. Thereafter a
resolution was passed mandating Governor Wike to
sack the Commission.Wike sacked RSIEC the next
day.
Similarly, the Rivers State Judiciary Service
Commission suffered same fate after its members
were invited to the floor of the House.
The fears of over 13,200 teachers in the state, over
400 doctors and nurses employed by the former
Governor Amaechi is palpable if they fall into the
category of workers adjudged to have been wrongly
employed into the state civil service.

THIS IS THE MOST UNGRATEFUL COMMENT HAVE SEEN HERE!

What a reckless, and unguarded statement. IS LIKE YOU DON'T KNOW GOD, do well to edit your post and pray for forgiveness for this your post. The reason is: saying that "NOT EVEN JEHOVAH can SACK YOU" (not us, because, i know he can sack anybody but, will never, because He loves us). but wait, did you type with a clear eye? if yes! I don't believe you could type a things like this just because of job.. am thinking may be you are an Atheist.. Please in case you are an Atheist, when you want to type anything use. "I" talk for yourself not "us or we".

If God take your life now ....no be sack be that?

Abeg Fear God! and be careful of what you type.

The bible says:

"But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall
speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of
judgment." (Mathew 12:36.).

as for me JEHOVAH YOU ARE ALL IN ALL, and can do all things. But, LORD have mercy on us and continue your good work to the end in Jesus name. amen.

This justina4real is really senseless. Check all her post whether or not the topic relate to Ameachi, she will find a way to relate it to him consistently stressing that the former govnor employed 13500 ghost teachers. She need to be taken to a psychiatric hospital.

Meanwhile, she's not even a teacher what the heck is she doing on this forum? Coz a teacher can't say the stupid things she's been saying unless she is abnormal.

This forum is supposed to be a place where we discuss our common interests as teachers of distinction employed under Amaechi's govt and not a village square where any Tom, Dick or Harry can pop in and say whatever they want, even if it doesn't concern them. Rivers State Government to pay civil servants salary arrears

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that his administration will work towards paying off all salary arrears owed by the immediate past administration in the state.

He stressed that no civil servant will be victimised on the account of their political inclinations, but added that they should desist from playing partisan politics.

Addressing, civil servants on Monday at the State Secretariat during his maiden meeting with them, Governor Wike said that his administration will be workers friendly.

He said never in the history of the state had civil servants salaries been owed , pointing out that he will take proactive measures to ensure that the state will never descend to such unacceptable level.

He said : "I want to assure you that we will pay you your salaries. We cannot embark on project execution without first paying your salaries.

"The immediate past administration owed salaries because of misplaced priorities. For this administration, staff welfare will be given top priority ".

He regretted that the civil servants and their unions kept quiet while the former administration relegated staff welfare to the background.

On the poor condition of the State Secretariat, Governor Wike assured the workers that his administration will improve facilities at the State Secretariat for greater productivity of the workers.

The governor, however, charged the State Head of Service, Mr Samuel Long-John to take remedial measures to improve the state secretariat pending the full scale rehabilitation.

He also directed the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Sports to ensure that sportsmen and women playing for Sharks, Dolphin and Rivers Angels Football Clubs get their eight months salaries today.

Earlier, Head of Service, Mr Samuel Long-John assured the governor that the civil servants will support his administration in the quest to transform the state.

with this step, governor will have all civil servant in his side, mostly if he pay all our salary arrears, when this is done I strongly believe that he will be unbeatable. I pray may all what he said concerning our salary and our salary arrears come to accomplishment within this month and next month, in Jesus name I pray amen. may God guide him to succeed as we succeed.

Time to move on to other topics. Enough backlash for Justinah4real! Between her and her gaffe, I'm wondering who's got more hot strokes of koboko. grin

Let's hope that the meeting between PMB and state governors will yield something positive that will in turn put smiles on the many faces of despair in all the eighteen states owing their workers backlogs of salaries.

Good night everyone!

Non-indigenes In Rivers Petition Buhari Over Wike’s Sack
Some Nigerians congregating under the umbrella of Endangered Non Indigenes Forum in Rivers State, EINFRS, have urged President Muhammadu Buhari to come to their rescue following moves by Governor Nyesom Wike to crack down on them as part of his plot to deal ruthlessly with associates and loyalties of his predecessor: Hon. Chibuike Amaechi. Their fear was heightened by feelers that the eight-man Committee institued by Wike to compile the names of non-indigenes in the State Civil Service and business outfits belonging to non-indigenes has secretly submitted its report. The report advocates for the crackdown to be in phases and to start with the sack of non-indigenous civil servants starting from third week of July 2015. The EINFRS has consequently petitioned President Buhari, pleading that he should come to their aid before the Governor endangers their lives just because they, in keeping with their pact with Amaechi, actively supported his (Buhari’s) candidature. The petition signed by the Forum’s Secretary General, Dr Ndubuisi Nwakadibia reads in part, “Mr. President, you have through your sagacity and revolutionary leadership since your inauguration as the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces brought peace, tranquility and integration to all Nigerians irrespective of their ethnic and tribal backgrounds. “It is sad that unlike other States enjoying peace and democracy Chief Nyesom Wike, the Governor of River State, has made it a policy to torment our people for supporting your candidature instead of that of Dr Jonathan Goodluck, the former President, during the March 28th Presidential election since his inauguration as the Governor of Rivers State. “He has embarked upon on an ignoble decimation of APC structures, retrenchment, sack, intimidation, harassment and victimisation of non-indigenes, particularly APC members and supporters resident in Rivers State. “Your Excellency, Sir, we are by this petition appealing to you to use your good offices and effervescent nature to call Chief Wike to order, and SAVE US from this unwarranted, unprecedented and provocative onslaught against us for failing to identify with his evil agenda against us and the people of Rivers State. “As we told you during our Town Hall Meeting with you at Obi Wali’s International Conference Centre, Port Harcourt in March, 2015, we have no other State to go to apart from Rivers State as most of us were born in Rivers State and for Chief Wike to continue to intimidate us in a State we have contributed much to build is not our ideal of democracy.” The non-indigenes further called on President Buhari to remember and adequately appreciate Amaechi’s contributions to his victory, stressing that,“We wish to appeal to remember all the risks that Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi took to ensure the success we recorded in the Presidential polls and ensure that he is comfortably accommodated in your administration as anything less than this will amount to adding to the pain that we are currently going through in Rivers State” -
