Nice analysis. But then, you failed in pointing out that Neymar does all that too, but is limited in Barça considering Messi's influence in the team. If you are gonna judge a player's total output, then do it in all ramifications. Aside judging them with club football, you have to take them also to the international stage. And there, Neymar does everything Harzard do in Chelsea, plus more. Now you will honestly face it that Harzard doesn't replicate such in Belgium. Infact, if we have to leave sentiments and be fair, we would agree that Kevin de Bruyne has been the leading man for Belgium for almost 2 years now. That says a lot.

I'd actually put Mueller in the 2nd tier. With Neymar, Suarez, Ribery, Robben he is certainly better than Bale

Nice. But you know what? When Neymar wasn't performing as such for Barça, people were complaining of how there were 2 versions of Neymar viz: The Brazilian Neymar and The Barça Neymar. At that time, no one was saying or mentioning the availability of Messi and co. But now that he is performing, people are tagging his performance to Messi and co.

No doubt, Messi and co makes him better. Yet, you can't take away the fact that, Neymar is kinda a one-man player. A star player. If you doubt me, look no further than the Brazilian team. The team without Neymar is just average, if not below. But imagine what Neymar is doing with the team. That tells you the kinda player that he is. That tells you his qualities. That tells you that he is a star player. He is inspiration himself.

So, he is good because he is a quality and a star player. That is not to undermine the influence of the greatest player on him. Just saying he is a performer wherever or with whomever he plays with. Imagine where we started hearing of Neymar. Santos! Infact, he has won the Puskas award twice. Plus, he was among the top-5 players in the Balon d'Or some 4 years ago while in Santos.
