Your position that animals are monogamous is a MASSIVE faux pas on the scale of the running joke in which some girl said she preferred London to UK.

Seriously.

Scientists have three classifications of monogamy in animals: Sexual, Social and Genetic.

Of the 5,400+ known species of mammals, only less than 5% are considered SOCIALLY monogamous. Sexual monogamy, on the other hand, is almost non-existent in ALL animal species.

Female chimps for example, are known to have intercourse with multiple males in her group, so as to confuse the paternity of their babies. And if she bangs all, the males think the babies could be theirs, so they don't kill them.

The most socially monogamous animals are birds. With the percentage running upto 90%. But it stops right there...

Sexual monogamy for them, however, is another story entirely.

We are talking about females and polyandry in the animal kingdom, not the national geographic you deposited above.
The argument is not for monogamy but polyandry.
How many female species are polyandrous i.e take on multiple male partners at the same time for life?

Chimps are a second example. In fact chimps are the only species that use sex for trade i.e sex for food, Sex to avoid being killed ,sex for grooming ,sex to overcome depression etc. It doesn't mean their females are polyandrous i.e keep certain male partners. On the other hand there is an alpha male chimp who will keep a harem of females he visits regularly and also get the occassional away match from another female that wants a favour. So the females are promiscuous, not polyandrous.

Another example is the pink swan whose females keep more than one male partner for life.

Two more examples to go.

Yes you are monogamous.
As told by men ? Maybe.
As defined by nature? Definitely.
As endorsed by society? Oh yes.
As directed by almost ALL world religions? Absolutely.

You couldn't handle two husbands even if you wanted to .

You are monogamous.
Deal with it.

If this monogamous nature is truly a female's nature, U wont need to stress on it at all cos its only natural.. We don't need to deal with it .. its n.a.t.u.r.a.l. So it should be easy... U don't need to worry about ur woman cheating cos she is naturally monogamous. smiley

King Solomon... 300 wives... 700 concubines...
nobody bashed him...

.Young man... One wife... One girlfriend... he's the
demon...

.it is well...
There are many differences.
Solomon practised Jewish law in the old testament and he still married his wives legally unlike a married man who has a wife and still committing an adultery with a side chic or whatever - that's fornication not polygamy....

Christ said he didn't come to destroy the law but amend it meaning that Jewish law isn't pious as it's supposed to be.
You can see that in the beginning, God made a helper for Adam which is Eve and not many helpers if he believed men are polygamous.
Take a cue from Genesis, ALL the men who were fore-runner married only one wives not until some.....
So, Christ was sent to amend laws.
Jews had many nasty traditions like worshipping the goddess ashtoreth, stoning an adulterous woman, hypocrisy et al

Lol, you'll actually have a hard time finding animals that are sexually monogamous.

A very hard time actually.

Monogamy in nature, is rather the aberration.

Google is your friend man.
I doubt that. grin

Concubine isn't a side chic, please.
In ALL cases, Wives are oblivious of side chics while it's not the case in concubine.

Read the story of Isaac. If a jewish lady marry, she would be given concubines(female slaves)

When Rachel couldn't give birth and envious of Leah, she gave Isaac one of the concubine given to her for him to sleep with until she gave birth to Joseph and Benjamin.

Concubine is a jewish nasty culture not same as side chic which is fornication.
Those Solomon 700concubines where given to his wives when he married them.

Stop lying against Christ. He never said anything about amending any laws. You claim to be religious but don't know shiit about the bible you so proudly brandish.

Lol, I was talking semantics and mainly joking.

But if you go factual, some people might dispute the very existence of Jesus and the authenticity of the writings that chronicle his life - given that they were written ages after he was supposed to have lived smiley

Yeah, I know. I'm not forcing my opinion on people as they are free to live how it pleases them.
I only quoted the dude because he mentioned Solomon coming with a notion that he believes in the bible.

By the way, only muslims does that....
Christianity revels in new testament.
Old testament only gives account of creation, prophesies that would manifest etc.

Amend: to alter, modify, rephrase, or add to or subtract from (a motion, bill, constitution, etc.) by formal procedure:

Fulfill: 1. achieve or realize (something desired, promised, or
predicted).

2. carry out (a duty or role) as required, promised, or
expected

I'm giving you time and space to admit you are wrong and accept it. Unless, of course, amend and fulfill mean the same thing.

PS: I know there are, at least, 4 people who don't know the difference between the two words or maybe they're just dishonest people.

My dear...i juss tire. Men always feel this unquenchable urge to impose natural monogamy theorem on women while they proudly accept polygamy. No gender is naturally monogamous abeg. I don't buy that school of thought. I believe every individual is naturally wired to do right and wrong. It now depends on which option the individual decides is right by him/her.

If I may ask you OP
What's the purpose of this thread anyways?

To justify cheating? (of course not.)

Ok what.

To tell us that any man who's practicing monogamy is doing his woman a favor because he's doing something unnatural? So he should be constantly praised for it?

Ok we've heard. We will listen to you and put that into practice. smiley
