Hi everyone..... Been away for a while, had to go to Ghana for about a month. Had my valid residence permit so I went to apply at the Egyptian embassy over there at Accra whilst I was away. Still awaiting their response though. Congratulations to all who have gotten their visas, see y'all in Estonia. Quick question though, heard that the Indian high commission is Abuja really doesn't attend to those without a passport issued there in Abuja or up north, so what happens in a situation when the passport isn't issued there but the person resides there? Just curious because someone actually complained to me yesterday on Facebook concerning this.....

I think its all about luck and prayer. A nairalander got his two months visa from abuja yesterday and his passport was issued in Lagos Also my jolly friend got his passport from kwara and he also got visa in abuja dsame yesterday. Infact he is inside plane to india as am typing.
Knowing what to include in ones' document and prayer is the main key.

Yeah Uzhi is right, I'm his jolly friend with passport issued from kwara.

Firstly lemme apologise for being a ghost member, it was due to some difficult positions I was in, I'm sorry,

I'm in Delhi and I had my 'interview' today. As a way of making up, please just feel free to ask questions. I will answer the ones I know. For the general use these were the docs I submitted with my application, please note that you need photocopy of each document, the originals will be for Trp and photocopy for visa processing

For TRP
1. TRP completed application form(from Estonian police website)
2. Annex 2 (source same as above)
3. Annex 3( source same as above)
4. Annex 4 (sent by your school, valid only for two months)
5. Certificate of proficiency in English (source same as above)
6. Curriculum Vitae (from police website)
7. Insurance cert
8. Guarantee letter ( to accept to do another insurance if what you have now doesn't meet requirements)
9. Letter of justification ( just like motivation letter)
10. Photocopy of ur passport data page
11. I used my payslip and my statement of account (note that this may vary if u are using a sponsor )
12. Enrolment letter from your school
13. Proof of accommodation

For visa
1. Print out of application form filled online (please endeavour to fill this one online, people who didn't were asked to go and do it online)
2. Itinerary plan ( when u plan to travel to Tallinn , airline you plan to use and the flight number, this is just tentative but it's required )
3. photocopies of items 5,7,8,10,11,12&13

I think I covered all,

There are two fees to be paid 5650 Rupees for Visa and 4590 Rupees for TRP.

Please relax, this is not as difficult as the first stage, it's a friendly environment and they end the interview by saying "enjoy your studies"

Thanks for forgiving me! grin

Most importantly Help me thank Uzhi!, that man is just amazing, I can't write this success story without mentioning him and the family! Our relationship has gone past nairaland!!! God bless you sir. And ChimaAmaechi is as amazing. God bless you sirs

Thank you.

lol! Ok. Offer of accommodation? TTU didn't send any accommodation offer to my cousin! though he applied for it. Will just tell him to print the application.

If you are attending TTU, which of the houses did you apply to.
He applied for - Akadeemia tee 5 and Siidisaba 7

Abeg oooo How many days Visa does Estonia Embassy give to People going to ESTONIA TO STUDY?

It depends on ur travel plans, all they are trying to do now is to give visa that lasts exactly to the point at which ur Trp will be ready. Take for instance I applied for Trp and visa on 24th of July, but I won't be going to Estonia until like 23rd of august, it usually takes about 2 months to process trp. So they will only give me like one month visa, as that's all I need my visa becomes needless once trp is out.

But their schengen visa is different from Indian visa, in that it has validity and duration, meaning that even though my duration maybe one month, the validity can be for instance 3rd of August till maybe sometimes in October so that my visa starts counting only on the day immigration stamps my passport that I've entered estonia, this is done to allow flexible traveling plan.

In short you don't have to bother ur self about duration of visa they are giving you, they are smart people and they will give you just what you need. All the best brov

One IMPORTANT info for those already in Delhi . When flying from India Aerofloft is the cheapest , but they havean issue. If you book Aerofloft, you have to go their office to inform them.Otherwise they won.t allow you fly on your departure date.

I am talking from my own personal experince last year. I don't want anyone to go through that. You either go to their office or just purchase Lufthansa.

510, 5TH FLOOR, ANSAL BHAWAN, 16, KASTURBA GANDHI MARG,, Middle Cir, N Block, Connaught Place, New Delhi, Delhi (state) 110001, India

Which insurance did you purchase and what was the mode of payment? Trying to buy one from Swiss Care, but my visa debit card is not being processed.

Collins Bank Transfer is the best option for Africa because swisscare only accepts credit cards and not debit cards from Africa. I used my ecobank account back there in Ghana and it was transfered in 3days, got my contract on the fourth day after emailing them. Bank transfer in Ghana is quite easy. If you use Ecobank I'd advise you use the Accra mall branch, the guy really knows the transfer stuff and they'd simply deduct from your cedis account

Hello,

If i can remember, uzhi stated the best to use is aiico insurance. That is what my cousin bought. #31800 for 1 yr and it covers 30,000euro per requirement.

Also, i will keep you all updated after his interview scheduled for this week.

for those of us that dont know about this - incase you have an expired annex 4, you can call you school and they will re-issue updated annex 4 in less than an hour after you call them.

Thank you.

Affidavit is a legal document that proves that whatever statement written therein is true...it could be used to declare a relation and for sponsorship, or to notify the concerned authority of an important information concerning you or a related party....[My definition o grin ]
You get an Affidavit from the high court in the state...it usually have the stamp of the high court and some declaration by the declarant with the signature of the declarant and the court officials... just get to high court and you will be guided... but I dont really know if its very required.... but to be on a safer side... please do it...
