Will he ever learn?

The position he occupies demands he learns it. I'm just wondering how the advisers of PMB will be feeling at this latest development. Bro, I'm now officially a fan of Tony! It's very obvious one doesn't need to be a political office holder to be successful in the International community!

Economic power is more influential and long lasting than political power.

Elumelu influential beyond Africa.

Meeting Obama for the right reasons is the grandest and best thing that will happen to anybody. Do you know the amount of recognition and positive reviews you will get that will go a long way to promote your brand.

Hmm, it depends on who you are and what your interests are. People have met powerful Leaders for seemly right reasons and have still ended up villains.

ECOTERRORS:
...Do you know the amount of recognition and positive reviews you will get that will go a long way to promote your brand.

Be careful of getting excited with instant gains and fame. An established, popular and original brand usually attracts world powers but chasing after world powers does not always add value to a brand.

Very stupid comments have read here, naira landers ehhhhh... Majority of you people probably think through the anus. The earlier some of you realize that Baba president will be there for the next 4yrs d better. He gave a very simple instruction as the president, and when someone did contrary to that, u expected him 2 keep mute. This ain't Jonathan's administration where evrtin goes. Tony Elumelu' presence wasn't needed there in Washington DC. President Buhari don talk him own. Whether Tony Later met Obama is not his concern. My advice.... Some of u commenting should go and buy some sense., its very cheap.

Dude I actually think u are the one with a very low brain power.

Have u by any chance come across the word. 'diplomacy?' It entails amongst other things, being able to know the time, place and manner to act or say certain things.

Mr President was very un presidential in his handling of the Elumelu issue...simple! He shouldn't be so rash in his public comments.

You can say it again. Economic power is more useful than political power. I've been following the works of Tony Elumelu for a while. Remember the last summit you created a thread here on lately? He's an enterprenuer and is affecting the lives of people positively.

I couldn't tell why PMB tried to rubbish and belittle Tony during his last so called historic visit to the US. Whatever the case is, PMB must learn tact and diplomacy, and he must do so very fast.
if not for the cbn governor sharp thinking that made him invite 2 notable nigerian business men, the nigeria business community wouldn't have been represented at all at that dinner . Only god knows what trash and rubbish amaechi and rochas would have been saying to those american business men. The cbn governor couldn't stand the rubbish and asked to be excused from the trip immediately after the dinner citing a conference in london as an excuse . Even apc leadership is finding it increasingly difficult and hard defending buhari

Hehehehe, this summit has been organized long ago bro. I'd have helped my friend apply to participate in the GES summit in Kenya (as one of the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurs) but Tony Elumelu Foundation wouldn't have covered his cost hence, I took a chill pill.

He's a speaker at the event, trust that Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurs resident in Kenya will attend such summit..

Tony Elumelu, a billion times better than Buhari. The man Tony is not bigoted, he's a philanthropist who dedicated so much money to support businesses and business ideas, he is well learned, very well rounded in entrepreneurship, selected people from every state in Nigerian and made them feel the impact of his philanthropy and above all selected many people across Africa to support their businesses. He has gotten several recognition and awards, he is a very big employer of labour, he is inspirational and visionary!

On the other hand, Buhari has never set up a school for the poor, neither has he supported businesses, neither has he donated learning materials to schools, neither has he relieved himself off bigotry, neither has he lived off his own wealth except Nigerian money he made via loots.

So both men are on very different levels and the fact is, Tony is more influential than Buhari worldwide. You can't take that fact away..

Tony Elumele meets with Obama in Kenya

Tony Elumelu , chairman of Heirs Holding in a post on his Facebook page shared with followers how his week went.
The billionaire also shared a picture of himself and United States president, Barack Obama who is on a 5-day trip to Africa.

The two met on Friday in Nairobi at the the 2015 Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) which the United State president is co-hosting. See how Elumelu’s week went,

Read how Elumele's week went here:

It has certainly been a hectic week for me, with travels to four countries in a matter of days. The week began with a visit to promote African entrepreneurship in Washington DC where I travelled as an invitee of the Federal Government. During his visit to the US, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR addressed a business roundtable dinner organised by the US Ch…

I flew straight on to speak at the Forbes Afrique Forum in Brazzaville, Congo at the request of the publisher, Lucien Ebata, a good friend and supporter of The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF). It also proved an opportunity to meet briefly with United Bank for Africa Plc staff in the country – there is no substitute for meeting our people on the ground.

Now I have just landed in Nairobi, Kenya, to be one of the speakers at the historic 2015 Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), that will be headlined by President Barack Obama. This year’s GES is particularly symbolic, as it is the first time that the forum will be held in sub-Saharan Africa.

I am proud to be part of an event that focuses on entrepreneurship-led development in Africa, as this is so central to what TEEP and my Foundation are committed to.

I know there are several bright lawyers and bankers in Nigeria so I won't insult your profession. Saying "TEO went behind Buhari to meet Obama" and saying if "he (TOE) spites Buhari further he will land in prison". I mean what the Bleep!? Why disgrace your profession like this na? The first post is even the worst because you made no sense at all. A man who was invited to speak at the GES, a worldwide entrepreneurship summit holding in Kenya, which Obama was also invited to come speak to entrepreneurs too and you typed that ya useless post. You shame lawyers and bankers my brother... cry

If you got no clue about something, why comment and show ignorance instead of moving to another thread?

bros , we warned nigerians ,that even in 1984 ,buhari was just a figure head ,the government was actually controlled by idiagbon,32years after some nigerians now believe such a man can rule effectively in this age of complex modern economic situation? I don't know how ppl expect him to do things at age 76 when he couldn't do them at 40!!! This man has never deemed it fit to upgrade his knowledge for 32 yrs, neither started a business or run a private organisation for 32 yrs except his 150 cows ,cow that can't talk, think or complain, and yet ppl voted for him to change the economy.

I was against that shambolic display of Mr President despite the fact that I belong to APC, it was unnecessary and shameful act. Shows how important exposure and education are. Buhari should wise up and stop all this I know it all and I will do it all attitude, I know for sure Prof Osinbajo wouldn't support such uneducative act

even though we belong to different parties, I will buy you one e-orijin for this your comment.
Honestly I still wonder why he took Osinbajo as his vice if he wouldn't give the man the opportunity to bring his expertise to bear.

Buhari has led a reclusive life tucked away in his cow farm in daura since 1985 and it is not good for this nation if he thinks he can do it alone! Truth is that regarding modern governance and policy making PMB is a kindergarten compared to Osinbajo as a prof.

I rest my case.

What most rich people dont understand is that the world will not really celebrate you because you have aquired so much wealth but because you are putting up measures that will make the world a better place for the helpless.
Bill Gates had his billions of dollars for years but it was the moment that he went into charity that he became inseparable from the global social calendar.
Tony Elumelu has been very rich since late 1990s when he transformed defunct Crystal bank to eventually U BA Plc.His global relevance became very prominent the moment he set up $100m dollars fund to jumpstart African enterpreneurs start ups.Between last year and this year, you could notice how many times that he has met with President Obama.
So globalbrelevance is tied to how much value you have added to humanity and not how many private jets, wives and houses that you have aquired for your selfish consumption
