No; let the Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani exclude the Igbo, because according to them, the Igbo did not vote for APC/Buhari. Wrong and Foolish precedent is what they are setting. They are setting the stage for a protracted liberation war in Nigeria. But little do they know that the front of the 1960s is different from the front of the 21st century. 1 Like |

AshiwajuFoward: You are a blatant liar! The Igbos never use the word 'core Igbo', that word is for Hausa and Fulani when sharing positions and scheming out the Northern minorities. He is an Igboman from Delta State South-South Nigeria. This man is talking about South East Nigeria, just like Yorubas dont see BUKOLA Saraki as representing South West. 1 Like |

HIGHESTPOPORI: You are a big FOOL for this question just posed, if you don't know, and very ignorant too. I grew up in America and I still own a home there because that is the beauty of the place -- it is accomodating and welcoming to all and sundry owing to its liberalism and opportunities it offers to outsiders in terms of prosperity and self-development. My region is proud to be the America of Nigeria in this respect -- many other ethnicities (not just igbos) come to my region because there are more opportunities for growth and prosperity. Now, can the same be said about your SE region? Answer that truthfully, please. Yorubas are in Canada, Uk, Ireland, Austrailia, New Zealand, many parts of Europe, e.t.c and are doing very well too. Truth is we only go to regions where there are opportunities for growth and development, regions that have better to offer us than ours. I'm sorry but your region is less attractive to us for various reasons, inlcuding the fact that you all are way too clannish to appeal to outsiders in a way ours isn't, to the extent that you all even brag about not selling land to outsiders who may want to settle down there. The only profession that thrives in your God-forsaken region is trading -- and Lord knows we all can't be traders. 2 Likes |

shachris: put the blame on Oliseh Metuh. If they give SE position, Oliseh Metuh will say its because PDP is smart. I was very happy when Ekweremadu became deputy Senate president and very disappoint when Oliseh Metuh say is because PDP is smart and APC is learning. That man talk like a kid. |

AustineE1: So you deserve petroleum appointments because you produce oil, but Ondo state equally producing and receiving more allocations due to oil derivation than any of the 2 SE states, should not merit by birth right a Yoruba appointment to such position? Also should APC give its own leadership positions as majority party to PDP just so that the Igbos can be represented? Are there no leadership positions for the minority party in the legislature that the Igbos can get their representation as they willingly voted for that party? What is APC's business with people that are not representing its party? Let APC continue filling its offices with APC members. If any tribe feels short-changed, they know the party to vote for to be relevant. |

According to history after the civil war the igbos and other minority tribes have always been marginalized.. For the sake of national unity i really think we should start seeing ourselves as Nigerians.... The irony is that the economic livelihood of this country comes from these minority tribes. Take away oil Nigeria will starve to death.... |

AshiwajuFoward: Typical Yoruba. Yoruba ever, ever, ever fearful of Biafra, becos Yoruba is reaping economic benefit more than the Nigerdelta from crude oil. Yoruba's happiness in Nigeria is: so long as Yoruba picks more crumbs than the southeast and southsouth from Fulani table, Yoruba is satisfied with One Nigeria. Igboman is Igboman, whether in southsouth or northcentral or southeast - nothing like core Igboman. Go away with Yoruba/Fulani divide-and-rule tactic which has been used for decades to divide southeast from southsouth, and no strong opposition appearing from any of the two groups against exploitation of the areas. 1 Like |

AshiwajuFoward: I have always asked myself, what could possibly make me seek economic opportunities in the SE. Then I remember that I'm not a trader and I hate chaotic environments. That you even call them economic migrants is being charitable. Economic refugees is more apt. Anyway, someone must sell that gala on the road. 2 Likes |

Re: It’s Wrong To Exclude South East From NASS Leadership, Says Yakassai by hansad: 1:47pm On Aug 05, 2015 |
kaycid77: Lol, Govt of the north championed by Yoruba. By the time the north is tired of ruling, may be in the next twenty to thirty years, the north shall appoint an Obasanjo to be president for Yoruba's turn. But that time, if the old southeast still remains in one Nigeria, its people shall resist, with every vote, a Yoruba being voted president; then a northern candidate in another party shall win. Yoruba used last election to show that there is nothing like southern solidarity in Nigeria. When OBJ wanted Third Term, he gathered southern politicians in Enugu with Anenih as leader in a conference where the communique after was that Nigeria remained backward because the country has been ruled by people who did not come from the area where oil that sustained the country was tapped. |

halohs: If he his to be replaced, there's no Igbo APC senator. It is a position for the majority party. APC will not empower PDP with a position that many in APC are qualified to hold. The minority party has it's own principal officers. Let the SE fight for its representation there. It is their right by association. |

shachris: Sorry old man, it's no longer business as usual. Advocating APC does the same things PDP did in 16 years that almost ruined this country is utter insanity. What matters is appointing people who can get the job done, every other thing like ethnicity, religion...etc is totally irrelevant. The dawn of a new Nigeria is upon us. This kind of retrogressive thinking is incompatible with it. |
