I bet you try to earn love by giving her money and assistance which happens in most cases even before she accepted to date you. you might think she'd love you for it but well she did loved you for it. Now you feel regret because she love you for the wrong reason.

Money don't buy love

But man why couldn't you try to improve on yourself education wise all these year? Money is essential but education is important.
Go and further your studies man.
Ladies like ambitious men and seeking high level in education is a great path to that.

Girls and their tricks. A guy wld go out of his way to sacrifice his Piece so ur future can be bright only to reach the peak level of drawing him closer And facing the future squarely that is when this girls always forget the starvation a man had to put up wit to make them somebody. A girl told me once my pastor said I should tk my time when it's time to settling down. I told her but he forgot to tell u not to take this same Men's hard earned money if u know u won't finish the season film u started. See girls commenting here not all relationships end in marriage, Y take men's money? Can GTB bank be paying first baank staff all because they are all banks? Or for friendship or bank relationship sake? Y'all women had better have that spirit of rejection. The earlier for u the better. Men are becoming mean everyday due to this your dumb ass smart mentality, no man is foolish. Most just play along to actually see where your story wld end. After leaving Men who have been there for u multiple times u go for men who has no affection or value to add to your life. Then come back when u see its just a fluck. Y'all women don't get it. You dnt just wake up one day to hurt people who have been there for you. It's a curse.

Had I known all my labour on her would be in futility, I wouldn’t have spent my hard earned money on her. I looked forward to a bright future with her but my dreams have been shattered by the very one I gave true love. I’m an OND holder but into a lucrative business which is doing very well. I met my girl online four years ago, though that notwithstanding, people can meet anywhere. I was already done with my OND while she was in 200L in the university. She told me of how her mother died during the delivery of their lastborn and her dad had to remarry leaving her to cater for herself most times. I felt the urge to render the little assistance I could and I started giving her money for her upkeep that was like six months after we met. I can even remember paying her tuition fees one session. Now four years down the memory lane, after her graduation and NYSC, and getting a job in an ICT firm with a good pay, it suddenly dawned on her that she can't marry an OND holder because of the gap in education. I told her it is the love between us that matters most but she said she loves me but we are not compatible education wise as she still want to further her education. All these years she was “gulping” my money, calling me sweet names, she didn’t see the incompatibility. When her future was in disarray I was her messiah (am not boasting here) but now that she can look forward to a bright future I’m no more in the picture.

You paid her tuition once. (Which I assume is cheap) and you give her some change every now and then. Ok.

Is that enough for you to say you laboured for her, you sent her to school?

Did she not give companionship in return all those 4years?
Was she not cooking, cleaning and washing for you?

Men and lies.
She's not leaving you cos you're an OND cert holder (that can still further) with a lucrative business.

She's leaving you cos you're an a$$hoole.

If a girl had told a similar story here, would you slag her off?

You seem to subscribe to companionship for money. A kind of prostitution in my opinion.

Small or big, the money did help her through school where her own biological dad failed.

Money is only just one part. There's is also love that this guy had for the girl.

Obviously love has no meaning to many these days.
A heartbroken guy is pouring out his heart and you call him an azz...le? shocked shocked

For some women, a woman is never wrong whatever she does. It does NOT help women's cause at all. Because of double standard.

This is one way we create male monsters. Lots of men feel they cannot talk about heartbreak without being ridiculed. They then try to overcome it in their own way. This can be by using and dumping girls. Condemnable but it happens. Others lose faith in love completely. Your own sister could later marry a guy who has become incapable of loving any woman.

Please be sensitive.

From what I can deduce: OP didn't bring up the relationship talk during all those times. You guys didn't make any commitment. Just friendship while you are hoping she will love you for showing care and helping her. First mistake: u didn't ask her to be your gal. Maybe she would have said yes, because she won't have any choice since you are willing to help. In anycase, you are a HELPER. God sent you to help the poor girl. Don't hate her. You cannot maRry someone you don't love anyway. At the end, your friendship with her might be a blessing in disguise. Accept her wish but remain good friends. Be happy that you put a smile on someone's face.

See the S.tupid answers a lot of women are giving because your consciences have been seared and because all sense of moral uprightness has been throw out the window! I know of married women whose husbands (living in the U.S) after marrying them from Nigeria and bringing them over to the U.S worked themselves to the bone to send them to very expensive nursing school only for the wicked women to serve them divorce papers almost immediately upon getting gainfully employed. THEIR WIVES!! Also know of a guy with OND who trained a lady only for her to turn on him. The guy brushed himself and went back to school. Now the gap between the guy and the girl is so wide she doesn't have access to him again. There's a saying that a woman is MARRIED to you and bares you children doesn't mean she can't kill you oh! That lady CANNOT make a good wife and there are lots of ladies like that. Free her and move on with your life bro.

It's not easy to move on oh. He has been one-chanced. When will guys learn that investing heavily on a woman that you are not married to is highly risky.

If you have not married her or she's not expecting your child, better don't make that mistake. However, there's nothing wrong in helping someone if you're not expecting anything in return.

So your stupid "companionship" is worth how much again? And since when did companionship become a one way traffic, or did she not benefit from the man's companionship too? And you're talking washing, cooking, and cleaning? Assuming the girl contributed that during the period (if she wasn't too busy being IN SCHOOL all that while, how much do part time housemaids get paid in Nigeria again?

Most of you women are just terrible. Imagine the rubbish these ones are spewing here.

Listen up guys, wise men should steer clear of spending too much or assisting these women. Ingratitude is ingrained in their nature. It's best to invest in your family or male friends who you can count on in some way in the future. If you are feeling charitable, look for less privileged people in great need around you - poor widows with children to feed, helpless or financially distressed families, elderly people without support, etc). NEVER extend acts of "charity" to these pathetic idiots called girls. Anything you spend on them is often a total waste. If you must spend, limit the spending to whatever you think her puccie or body as a whole is worth in carnal currency...never allow your head to get stuck in the clouds in the name of love or commitment.

The best decision is to let her go and look for love elsewhere. Otherwise you are inviting frustration to yourself. An exact case happened with a colleague of mine who never wanted to let go and eventually got frustrated. He later saw reason with us and let go. Her mother was actually the cause. She told him point blank and actually convinced the girl that he is not man enough for her. Six years later this girl could not make any headway with any man and started making contact with her ex. She showed remorse, expressed regrets, apologized and persisted. I personally convinced my colleague to forgive and take her back. Their old love rekindled and prevailed and he not only took her back but married her this past June. I was his best man and they pledged to be ever grateful to me for my being the tool that God used to make their reunion possible. They are living happily today.

Have you tried seeing things from the man's perspective?
Mind you, this could happen eithet way. A woman could do this for her bf and later get dumped. Stop seeing it from one side.
I believe once a promise is made, it must be fulfilled. If he/she decides not to, he/she should return his money.

Re: I Saw Her Through School; Now I'm No More Qualified To Marry Her by toksbisola: 12:33am On Aug 17, 2015
@Op; really sad that this happened to you. In this life, you’ve got to understand that there are some human beings that we refer to as USERS; meaning they use you to achieve their own aim and ambition to your own detriment and this lady falls into that category.

Can she honestly say that she did not know that you would like to be more than just friends? I doubt that; rather, I'll say that she probably knew; but she was just interested in accepting your money and gifts knowing fully well that she would not want to have a relationship with you after she graduates and becomes a BSc holder.

A DECENT LADY WOULD NOT ENCOURAGE A MAN TO CONTINUE SPENDING ON HER, SHOWERING HER WITH GIFTS knowing fully well that she doesn't have an interest in having a relationship with him. Note the word "DECENT LADY". Ladies such as this one described by the OP gives other ladies a bad name.

The things her own family members perhaps could not provide for her was what she was receiving in abundance from you. Plain and simple she was a USER, GREEDY AND A GOLD-DIGGER. For now, in her mind she thinks she has played a smart one on you. But don’t worry, because someday she would come to realize WHAT A WICKED THING SHE DID TO YOU.

Let’s face facts, she used you to achieve her university degree and now she suddenly realizes that you only have an OND. What a shame. She doesn’t consider that the so called educated one that she is searching for; might not treat her right. Then she would realize what a jewel she has lost simply because of her irrational decision.

Pick yourself up and learn from this experience. Remember that it doesn’t make any sense, if a woman is not your wife, then don’t go about spending unnecessarily on her to avoid stories that touch/hurt such as this experience you’ve just had.

If I were to ask whether you spent/invested on your mum, dad and siblings; would you be able to raise your hands up and say YES I HAVE SPENT/INVESTED ON THEM? I hope you have; so that it would not be a situation where you could have helped your family members and you didn’t; simply because of what you were spending on this lady who has ended up throwing your good gesture back in your face.

Use this bitter experience as a learning curve and take this information away: NEVER SPEND WHAT YOU KNOW YOU WOULD BE UNHAPPY WITH IF WHAT YOU ARE EXPECTING FROM THE SPEND DIDN'T MATERIALIZE.

I rest my case
