Why are they losing hope? It's barely 100 days.

The money should be given to the elderly and disabled, others should be helped through their home states and local govt empowerment programs with one time interest free soft loans.

Buhari can direct the monthly security vote paid to governors to be used for the people, with every state responsible for paying out the money to indigenous population only.

So Vanguard that i use to respect wants to put this hard working Government in a bad light? not a problem. President Buhari is an Honorable man, and will keep to his promises. As Long as Saraki and Dogora are ready to pass it into law in their Chambers, then i dont see how this can be a problem.

This man is barely 6 Months in Office, and all these PDP Hallelujah singers, are just grasping on any straw of criticism against this Government. It will not work, and Project Nigeria Will Be Great Again is on the March.

Sai Buhari.

Let those foolish "poorst 25million Nigerians" list their names for us to SEE and VERIFY that they are truly the POOREST NIGERIANS...

after that, Buhari will start paying them.

This one nor be "amnesty-come-and-chop" o!

Electricity is becoming more regular now so there is no excuse for not prospering.
Aside the elderly and disabled, every other "poor Nigerian" should LEARN A TRADE (Barbing, Tailoring, Mechanic, Welding, bricklaying, e.t.c) and stop expecting freebie from Buhari's Govt!

Awoof season is over, Amnesty Awoof ended with Jonathan's govt.

N5000 for 25 million people monthly. Hmmm Nigerians are the most gullible people in the planet to have believed this, and to make matters worse, tribalism has blinded them. Everything has turned to tribal thing. And our useless elders are fueling the tribalism instead of promoting unity. The sad reality of being Nigerian.

the government position on this, that has been repeated often by vice president oshinbajo is that the government targets 25 million poorest Nigerians to be reached in 5years , I.e 5 million yearly. The financial implication is 25billion monthly, 300billion yearly which the govt can afford given the socio economic implications.
You think Nigerian budget can afford that? OK o

Sai Buhari.

The fact is that the promise is not even a feasible one but unfortunately, having used that to tantalize voters, they are stuck between a rock and a hard place. They are damned if they do and damned if they don't. They cannot even come out to say it is not feasible because they will never hear the last of it.

Being an honourable person means that you should know your capacity, what is obtainable and make promises within such parameters because you know u can fulfill them. However, playing on the unfortunate situation of gullible and deprived Nigerians-a situation which has been perpetuated by successive governments from military era till date-puts a question mark on that 'honourability'. In this day and age and with the kind of population we have, nobody makes such rash welfarist promises! The duty of a responsible govt is to create an enabling environment that empowers the citizens to create and enjoy wealth. Doling out money has never and will never be a path to development. The promise of it is meant to deceive and that is all! Besides, what can 5k afford on a monthly basis? That only encourages laziness and seals the fate of targeted recipients, condemning them to a life sentence of poverty.

Even this scenario or 'position' is it feasible to you? In a country like ours that creating and maintaining a database of citizens is a problem abi where? What is the criteria for judging who the poorest is? Is it based on disability, lack of opportunity or plain laziness that decides the poverty level? Is it each poor Nigerian as an individual or family heads will receive 5k to distribute to his wife and kids? Which first 5million people will they start with? Which first 5 Million are more deserving than the other 20million? Who says the so-called 25million poorest will remain static? People make money and lose money everyday so who is who? How does 5k/month raise the first tranche of 5million people to a better level so they don't need the funds in the following year? So you put 'sugar' in their mouth, they relax in the comfort of 5k/month then after 1yr you tell them it is over and you feel you will not have a crises on your hands? Even broken relationship dey make one person pour another person acid how much more stomach and money-related matters? Think about it, it is not feasible!

Get your facts right and start reasoning.
1. The promise was not to all jobless people.
2. The promise was not to all poor people.
3. There was no time given, so it's plain folly to demand that the promise must be fulfilled immediately. It can as well be fulfilled in four years time, it's a goal.
5. Quoting silly figures like 25million and 2.5trillion is a waste of time. The poorest people in mind can be the 100poorest or the 1million poorest.
6. There's an ALLEGED clause of " a monthly stipend of N5000 to the most deprived Nigerians on condition that they immunised their children and send them to school."
Don't forget that next time.

All wailing wailers are needed for teeth gnashing activities and can add their quota to the kainji dam, do something noble for Nigeria.
