Not everybody is gullible. I watched that interview and at no point did he supported Jonathan or anybody for that matter. He clearly said every gov't since 1999 has always protected d interest of only d rich. He demonstrated how police write polite letter of invitation to d rich but pounce on d poor man door commando style. Bottom line is Falana was intentionally misquoted by tanoids

Now tell me, where was he speaking from? From his mouth or from his anus? He wanted Biafruad in 1967 and wanted to be Nigeria's president in 2003. Abi he dey craze ni ke?

i said it, i watched in interview life, the man is not praising Jonathan in any way. instead he was castigating those that asked Buhari to soft Peder on his anti-corruption stance. In course of doing this i mentioned that every government has way of fighting corruption in her own way even Jonathan government fought in is own way

I agree with you in totality. Is Falan, Bakare, Obasanjo etc not from the Yoruba ethnic group? How on earth can those one sided individuals ever think of saying anything supporting GEJ? Was it not these two groups, the north and the west that ganged against GEJ just to pulled him down? If the most dullest Buhari and the only one president without DIRECTION is an inch better, why would he prefer to abandon the rest of the economy to go after fighting corruption? If this animal call Buhari is an inch human, why would he allow all other components of the economy like the agrc, transport, roads, hospital etc to rot aways because he has told us that corruptions must be killed completely first before looking at other areas.
When an abnormal man like the owner of the post am responding to and others who just wake up from their bed, when they just walk out of their bath rooms and publish all unreasonable figures and label and describe it as stolen monies by GEJ government. What Buhari is doing is like charging someone to court. When one count charge is manufactured to produce more than five other counts with English grammar.
Rubbish people.

Falana does not need to remind Nigerians of the method GEJ used in fighting corruption. Nigerians are aware already that GEJ fought corruption in a CIVILISED and scientific ways unlike Buhari's crude method. Tell Nigerians what scientific method has he put in place to fight corruption apart from still endlessly searching for judges that will help him carry out his premeditated plan on perceived enemies whom he already tagged CORRUPT. even without investigation. He is even thinking of special courts thereby indicting our existing criminal court judges and judiciary of incompetence. What an irony?

No he didn't, he only acknowledged the loot recovery and was vague about the 3 ministers sacked. Recovering $900 million and then Billions of dollars are missing under him is not a fight against corruption, but sheer hypocrisy.

Hope you slept well.

Whether he was vague or not dies not exempt facts. Were ministers sacked? Were funds recovered? Are Ebele's efforts in taming the monster called corruption substantive and sustainable?
Has Buhari been consolidating on Ebele's transformation agenda as opposed to his widely touted and publicized change?

I can't help but notice your repeated condemnation of my assertions as hypocrisy, I restrain myself many times from branding your occasional myopic views for the purpose of civil discourse, let's try to keep it that way Miz.

With regard to the Niger bridge, you never condemned GEJ's failure to complete the bridge as promised, neither did you call for him to fulfill his promise of going on exile if he failed to do so.

Against this background, I strongly doubt your moral right to condemn or reject the suspension of the SNB project for re-evaluation, especially considering the suffering GEJ wanted to put on your people by tolling them for the next 25 years.

Yet, I would take the devil in him, than the 'saint' in Buhari.

Excuse me, labeling it suffering is unfair.
I believe it was an agreement which was accepted by all.

Did work commence on the second Niger bridge or not?
Did we see evidence of structures coming up or not?
Could the in-completion have been as a result of unforeseen circumstances?
If the answers to these questions are Nay......then you do have a point.

However, I will not comment further on the Bridge issue....

Note that the 1km is not owned by the FG. Notwithstanding, I'll give regard to your decision to let the SNB issue rest, it's one of the failures of GEJ (he promised to complete it) that is better left in the bin of history. If the FG fully funds projects in other regions, then it was injustice and clear marginalization to ask Igbos to pay for such a significant project. Alas.

I must say I'm more touched than alarmed by your decision to align with the secessionist movement. Is it that bad? Wish we could talk more privately.

Do you realistically think Nigeria can divide?

I will sincerely like like to see at least four different countries emerge from what is presently known as Nigeria (can be six according to the geo-political zones) but I don't see it happening.

Sometimes, you guys make our country really difficult to live in.

The cause, struggle and agitation for a construction of a Second Niger Bridge has been on for ages. Countless governments have promised to look into this matter and yet countless have failed.

General Gowon after the war, said there was no victor nor loser. Hence initiated the 3Rs. Of the 3Rs, can you count how many have been started, followed through and completed in the Entire South East that was pummeled and completely destroyed? I do not know who initiated the East - West Road but Mr. Obasanjo came in as President and NOTHING can be said about the state of the road after 8 years. Unfortunately, due to the health challenges of Yar'Adua, nothing much was done on that road. One of the airport in the entire South East (only 2 are in the South East) was elevated by GEJ to an international status and currently upgraded.

All through Mr. Obasanjo's time, NOTHING can also be said about the Lagos - Ibadan expressway and in 2008, the road was rewarded at a concessionary basis to Bi-Courtney and yet, NOTHING can be said about the road after more than 4 years except large bill boards. Today, that road is at this state because GEJ saw beyond politics. Meanwhile the River Niger bridge, which is an important artery road, that links the entire Southern Nigeria to the Eastern Nigeria has been deteriorating, going through wear and tear having been there for more than 40 years, if not the oldest bridge in Nigeria. Today, that bridge have been reported to be experiencing shocks due to the pressure of vehicular activities. Maybe when it collapse, you lots will get the message.

During the tenure of Mr. Peter Obi as Governor of Anambra State, the Onitsha Port was dredged so as to allow large ships berth in Onitsha, which presents enormous benefits to the commercially oriented people of Eastern Nigeria. That port will take away unnecessary transportation cost, reduce accidents and security on the roads, increased the life span of the already over-utilized roads in Nigeria, improve spread of wealth from the concentrated South West (Lagos) to even as far as North Central (Benue and Kogi). In fact, oil vessels can also berth (if the port capacity can be expanded) and that improves supply of petroleum products in the entire South East, South South (Delta) North Central and even to the far North. Other nations see opportunities, our country see sentiments.

Former Governor of Delta State saw the opportunities and ventured into the construction of an airport (with a capacity for cargo management) with a view to reducing travel and transportation costs and improving trade. All these projects require Federal Government's attention and today, what is the status of these projects? They are yet to start up (the Onitsha Port) and now, I am sure Mr. Buhari will 'probe' these projects as some bureaucrats and their political godfathers see everything wrong in a prosperous South East. Only if they know that a Kingdom prospers because of the tenacity, zeal, will and productivity of her people.

Due to paucity of funds and the attendant challenges in constructing roads, GEJ entered into a concessionary agreement with Julius Berger, and the Sovereign Wealth Fund to build a brand new bridge. He is the only one who promised this project, laid processes for eventual take off and actually started the construction of the bridge. Unfortunately, he lost the election and the completion of the bridge is threatened because Mr. Probe's body language is responsible? Because Mr. Dikko, who heads the Infrastructure Commission, remembered today that the project has not met some conditions such as compensation of land owners or Certificate of Compliance?

Is there a problem with tolling the bridge, if it is to raise funds incurred in constructing it? You should be concerned with the amount being tolled on the bridge. You should be concerned in construction of another mode of transportation between these regions to facilitate trade and movement of people. You should be concerned in how you can generate income from unconventional and creative ways. You are not concerned with tolling vehicles on the Lekki Bridge which is within a single local government in a state. You are not concerned with the tolling on Lekki - Epe expressway. Am so sure that if Hi-Teck or Deux was the contractor, you lots won't have a problem with that. You are in fact, not bothered with the state of the only bridge linking Lagos Island to Victoria Island because the bridge probably belongs to the Federal Government.

The same tolling generates revenue, the revenue goes to the Sovereign Wealth Fund and this fund acts as a savings buffer for our future generations. Yet, the establishment of the SWF is still today vehemently opposed by majority of these same Governors who today are the mouth piece of the APC.

And you expect those who live across the bride, those who depend on the bridge for sustenance of live, for their livelihood, for improvement of their business to keep quite?

Today, the East - West road was given attention and over 80 percent completion. I also suppose Mr. Buhari will halt and probe the construction of that road.

I am first a Nigerian but sometimes, I get to think about us as a country. About our future. I get to think about the motive of certain actions of certain individuals. And it hurts me, pains me and I feel sad.

If there is anything life has taught me, it's that impossible is NOTHING.
It took Israel 400 years, even if it happens in a million years, Biafra's flag will rise.

The secession can be achieved without fights and wars, but after watching the interview with Ahmadu Bello, and with blacks being blacks, I can see clearly that the Igbos are like the biblical Israelites who must be subjected to slavery and marginalisation, lest they "conquer us" all.

Pshot, this is not the brightest of mornings for me.
I think I've submitted enough on the thread whose link I provided up there.

You are one of few people I follow on this forum, Nigerians only break your heart and one learns to hate this hell hole we find ourselves. That's the central reason, this Nation will not go anywhere.

If the world were populated by people who see it as it is and not as it should be, how would civilization progress? Ruth Bader Ginsburg
