Good day Mr. @bisi16 would like to verify the truth or otherwise in the statement that postgraduate studies in some south African universities are tuition free. Thanks
Not sure about that as I haven't researched anythng abt post grad.

Please what are the processes and modalities involved in enjoying said scholarship? A reply would be most appreciated
The scholarship is for Master degree by research and Phd students. You have to contact your intending Department, speak/mail the secretary. Pick a research topic of interest, draft a good research proposal and mail it to the department. If there is any faculty (lecturer) who can supervise your research, you will be granted a provisional admission to study. The scholarship only covers tuition fee, you have to sort feeding and accommodation yourself. Accommodation is expensive here, so you may plan to share a bachelor/mini-flat.

Thanks, Sultan003. I'm about registering with ECSA while my SAIEE student member registration should be approve on 15/09. Do you think i can use SAIEE student member to apply for CS Visa? For ECSA, I intend to apply as Candidate Technologist then upgrade after my program at DUT, but considering your input, it seems i will have to go for Candidate Technician now.

have you done the foreign qualifications evaluation with ecsa? it is after that, that they will tell you the category to register for. that is assuming that your bachelors degree is from nigeria.

student membership from SAIIE didn't help me with ECSA, but you should try and see what happens.
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by yinksob002: 8:30am On Aug 31, 2015
The maximum no of days you can spend depends on the status of your visa. If it indicates 3mth single entry with a maximum stay of 10 days, it means you can't spend more than 10 days and can only make a single trip within the stipulated period. However, a 3mth multiple entry with maximum stay of 30 days allows you to make several trips within the period subject to a maximum stay of 30 days per trip. All the best.

Hello bro about visiting visa,is it true one is expected tp use just 2 weeks out of the 3 month approved, even if singlor mulitple entry?

I don't know how to go about the foreign qualification evaluation with ECSA after I have done SAQA evaluation. Is this necessary? Though I sent them a mail yesterday, I'm still expecting their reply.

A faculty (Nigerian) here told me that I can use SAIEE but I opted for Student membership hoping to upgrade after my graduation next year. My question is; can i use the SAIEE student member certificate to apply for CSV? I have two conference paper to attach to my application. I need to get it before December because I missed two job opportunities because I don't have a work permit and my HOD just promised to give me a full-time contract to lecture two undergraduate class come January.

Sorry for late response. Yes it's very important. Even at embassy they will not take it from you without medical report, police report and yellow card
Sorry to bother you one last time femiaction. I am applying tomorrow and although my family will not be accompanying me immediately but in a couple months time. Do I state that they will be accompanying me or just mention that they will be at a later date. My concern is having to go through the process of applying for them separately at a later time. I don't know if this is your own situation but i need help here. Thanks a great deal

you need to do foreign qualifications evaluation with ecsa first, you can get the form online.. ECSA doesn't take into consideration what Saqa says.

applyin with student membership is risky, student membership doesn't confirm any skills.

Ecsa registration process when I did mine took 5months to complete from evaluation to registration, but since you want to apply for CSV soon, I suggest that you submit your application to ecsa soon and personally, so that you can tell them to also give you a letter of proof that you have applied for registration, then with the letter, your saqa and also a letter writing by your school preferably your HOD confirming your skills, you can now apply to DHA.

the reason I said personally, is attimes ecsa wont reply emails and if you call them, you will get call tomorrow, call on friday from them

I have the form with me now. I understand from their website that they only have office in Jo'burg, it will be difficult to submit personally. I may post it trusting God for speed, then apply for CSV in Lagos since I will be coming home in December. Many thanks.

There is little anyone on this forum can do on the issue you raised as it appears more like a technical problem and the school authorities are in a better position to address it. Hence, i will suggest that you get in touch with UNISA via e-mail or phone call explaining your challenges and i am sure they will provide a solution. All the best.
guys nobody is responding from unisa

Hi pyr8te, I saw your question about spousal visa where you said your wife will not be joining you immediatley. I wish to know how you went about your application as that is my situation currently. I dont know if to include my wife and child as accompanying me immediatley (they have all their documents) or just do mine now. Which did you do please. Thanks cc @sultan003

Hello, The post graduate programmes are not free. When you have resumed for the programme you can now apply for scholarship or grant *IF THERE IS ANY*. Being that you are international students they are few, neverthe less if you are doing research master or PHD you can apply for limited scholarships is not gurantee but alos depend on your supervisor. The only adavntage is that the tuition fees is cheaper to european universities, canada and usa with good quality education standard.

You need to submit with proof of accommodation with flight reservation that show your envisage date of departure from Nigeria, what CSV category you applying for.

She will apply for visitor visa via VFS in lekki Lagos.

The person in SA will need to send her documents like, invitation letter, proof of resident, copy of data page passport, permit page, all certified by police or post office.

Then an introduction letter, yellow card,2 passport photo, hotel reservation this are what you will provide with the document he will sending to you.

This are the information I can give, I hope this will help,

I'm just going to apply for them soon. As par Including proof of accomodation n flight reservation, I heared so from a friend who wants to apply n I'm surprised as it wasn't required for me. But I've come to view dos at d SA high commission as pple dat act on impulse. .hence a lot of unreasonable demand are made on the fly
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by elume2020(m): 8:02am On Sep 03, 2015
Just to clear some air around ESCA, the new procedure is you take all documents you intend applying with to an organ in Centurion, for verification and validation. There a slip will be given to you which you will come along with to their office at Bruma Lake, Johannesburg. When I did mine this procedure wasn't in place then but now due to forgery of certificate the process has been intensified.
On the other hand, don't always expect to get a candidate engineer even if you hold a B. Eng. You might be called for interview, I was called, terrible because they were asking me to write some equations which I can't even remember the sequence of the formula but explained what it was used for. At the end I was offered a candidate Technician. I decline it and asked them to review their decision which the process is currently ongoing. I hope is comes out as what I wanted, not looking for a job though just wanted the right recognition.
