I don't think dats a nice idea cos in other developed countries like USA,UK,Canada there's always a validity period for data subscription, what I don't like here is dat the data is too expensive on Android, iPhone, PC compared to blackberry plan cos d bandwidth is actually same

Too much of online streaming, YouTube viewing, movies, music and games download are what consumes your data. I use 1gb in one month, and sometimes I even have to use it to download a movie on d last day of its validity just to exhaust it.

You are not totally right. Blackberry uses RIM which others like android do not. Rim enables blackberry to constrict the data whereby a data that's supposed to be 250mb would automatically be reduced to 15mb by them. In android and other phones there's nothing like that so unless android is affiliated to Rim then expect no miracles

I dont know if this is the right section to post this,If not MOD's should gracefully move it to the right section which exactly is the Front-page..Today Marks exactly 4weeks this issue started..I am an MTN User,A loyal customer at that..Today marks 4weeks have not being able to mark nor receive phone calls in my area here in Ibadan..Everybody is complaining as it is making Life Hell on earth for us whenever we are Home..Before now,The service here is super fast and everything is on point.

I have called their Customercare number times without number,they keep on telling us they would fix it..Have being to their Head office here in Ibadan,yet no response..I was able to get to know what exactly happened,Was told their Generator packed up or something,I dont know how long this would take to be recitified as it seems the non-challant attitude of we Nigerians in things like this at Play here..

The Area in question is Adeosun,Area of Awotan Apete,Ibadan and the Local-Goverment is Ido-Local Government..

MTN Should please come to our resuce and fix things asap..I would so much appreciate

For instance if you load 500 naira glo or mtn card, you must be able to use it within a certain period of time after which it would expire and become invalid. Although you would retain your credit but you won't be able to make call with it. As time goes on, this regulation was abolished. Now we want NCC to also abolish and annul the one month or days validity period imposed on Nigerians by service providers. Why should you force someone to finish what he or she had bought with his own money within a certain period of time?. They say we must finish it or it roll over. What nonsense! This totally violates human right! If you buy 1000,2000, or even 100 naira data, the data should last long until you finish it . There shouldn't be any embago or rule that should render it invalid after a certain period of time.My fellow Nigerians how do you feel about it. Should it be implemented ? lalasticlala, let them hear.

You probably are the one using my phone for me cos I don't do any of these things you mentioned not to talk about doing them too much. If you use a small screen phone, maybe what you're saying about 1GB will be tenable but if you use my kind of phone, there's no chance.

The Truth is that Nigerians will be Nigerians.... If the network operators remove the validity periods from data allowance they know that they will lose.... All these IMEI thieves that steal IMEI of phones that MTN and other networks give free data on purchase as promo, imagine they accumulate 600GB and there's no validity period...

Everything is there for a reason, the whole validity stuff may be unnecessary and "infringing on our rights" like the OP said, but due to the mass thievery from the customers that goes on in the form of stealing IMEI and Simple server and the likes.... Validity period is very necessary, at least until they totally curb the whole free browsing cheats stuff in Nigeria and all customers actually start paying for Data... Cos the truth is that in Nigeria even if data was N100 for 1GB Nigerians will still look for free browsing cheat
