what is wrong with some of these so-called elders? These men just want to set the Northern people against the rest of Nigerians. Though I see the Confab as Dead on Arrival. Not because it wasn't appropriate but because the NASS are not ready for restructuring. 1 Like |

Nigeria is a fraud and will continue to remain so until we practice fiscal federalism or parliamentary system. PMB is a blessing he means well but the enemies of Nigeria is much than its patriots. |

Mogidi:What was the contribution of Eboes to the conference. What positions did they canvass. Who sold out at the conference. Tell us the names of Eboe Conferees and what they stood for. You folk have LYING in your DNA but facts are stubborn The Yoruba were the main bulwark for southern interests and regionalism while the amateurish Eboes just went there for a Jamboree to chop and flaunt their BABY HATS |

The 36 states+Abuja political structure created by northern soldiers only effectively makes south of Nigeria a mere appendage to north's Nigeria as it makes northern politicians unduly decide whatever shall be in Nigeria, including who must be president. |

omonnakoda: For your information, Yoruba asked for regional government system but without fiscal federalism. And regional government system without fiscal federalism is as useless as not having regional government system at all. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Mogidi:That is false as it was the Yoruba's that defeated the Fulani & Hausa warriors who were lead by Usman fodio when he invaded the south after the Fulanis defeated the Hausas on an earlier war. Fodio & his men headed back north after they were defeated by combined Yoruba forces & they never recovered from the defeat. You can check out history as it is well documented. |

omonnakoda: Sonofabitch, your reference showed Yoruba Harmonize Positions before the CONFAB. BUT INSIDE THE CONFAB PROPER, YORUBA ASKED ONLY FOR REGIONAL GOVERNMENT SYSTEM WITHOUT FISCAL FEDERALISM. Note: the south east and south south have been asking for fiscal federalism for years. 5 Likes |

omonnakoda:Ignorance is a disease for you people. Aburi Accord from the Igbo side was about fiscal federalism in Nigeria. Igbo has not changed positions since then about need for fiscal federalism. Your Baba Awo advised Gowon to reject Aburi Accord. Yoruba is still afraid to stand on its own economically. 5 Likes |

Rotimi47: YOu need to study history there was no INVASION from anywhere, Ilorin seceded from Oyo. In between Ilorin and Sokoto is Minna and Bida. They were not invaded so from where did this Fulanis come. Fulanis Tapa and many freed slave lived in Yoruba land freely for centuries. Those who helped Afonja secede were Oyo born or Ilorin born slaves of varied ancestry . After they achieved their aim they "SWORE" allegiance to Sokoto for protection just like Shekarau swore allegiance to ISIS. They claimed to be Fulani but they could have been anything what is certain they were slaves or descendants of slaves and they were Oyo speakers .They were secessionists NOT invaders In practice Sokoto never had any practical control and the relationship as never tested in pratice as the British arrived shortly afterwards. Indeed Sokoto never had across Hausaland political dominance as Gwandu was the strongest Emirate just before the British Arrived 1 Like 1 Share |

hansad:It seems you people drink lies with your breast milk.Stop making up all these fantasies .We are talking 2014 National conference you are saying Aburi Accord have you got a copy. Nigeria came to independence with fiscal federalism .That is what our founding fathers agreed That was how we were governed till January 1966 when Eboes struck and killed everyone. Aguiyi Ironsi enacted Decree 34 introducing unitary system . Why did the Eboes not have a problem with it.Ojukwu was in that government as one of his henchmen. So decree 34 was good as long as an Eboe was in charge but when levels change you want fiscal federalism back Please forget that Aburi story. AN EBOE MAN ABROGATED FISCAL FEDERALISM Can you provide a link to the Eboe stance at the 2014 National Conference |

omonnakoda: Ironsi's unitary government system? There was 50% of proceeds going to areas where natural resources were derived in Ironsi"s unitary government system then. Read history before coming to a public forum to expose your ignorance. Northern rulers after Ironsi progressively removed that, at one point, there was no extra for areas where mineral resources were derived until it started to be restored up till present 13%. |

hansad:Have you got any documentary evidence of this claim? Ironsi's Decree 1 suspended the constitution so I do not know how you can then claim he followed the constitution. We are not all vacuous airheads You are making assumptions. Ironsi started the progressive removal when he enacted decree 34 . Ironsi was in office for about 6 months so unless you have receipts for how money was shared I suggest you shut up |
