Really? Will need u to guide me a little bit. So right now, what's the next step to take to apply for immigration? The person who is trying to help me was telling me to hit nothing less than 8.0 dats why I've been a little bit worried since I saw my result. What step should I take right now? Will appreciate your reply.

I met a family man writing for general test who plans to get a skilled workers permit in Canada. Although he had a 5.5 which is low, he stressed much on have a higher educational level(doctorate, master, post graduate get the highest point), working experience (3 years or more get the highest point while no work experience gives you no point) ,if your married your spouse should also have a good working experience as it cld affect your score if she/he is working. If you are single ur better off as long as you met the requirements. The minimum requirement for the ielt score is usually 5.5 for general. I feel your agent was just trying to encourage you so that you could score higher but believe me, you 6.5 isn't something to worry about and should not be the only thing u should take to consideration. Check this link for better understanding of how your being assessed. Although it's for pple going to Canada but I feel it applies to other countries like Australia and uk. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp. I believe your man can still help you and he is in the best position to tell you more am just telling you a Lil of what I know about general me am all for academics

Amen. seriously, i dont believ an international body like british council can act in that awkward way. I sent several mails to there official email address (approx 1/day), call there official office nos, they asked me to drop my messages; but all my method got no feedback, not even a text mesage from them. 1 of my brother went there 2de to complained about my case. he was given a mail by an attendant and asked to tell me to complain and forward my data via the email. To cut it short, i got a call few minute after i sent the mail. to my surprise, i got a mail just 3 minutes after our conversations that my test has been transfered to 30th. instantly, the date of exam in my candidate area was updated to 30th. i was just wondering, if they are't aware of the implication of there inadequate info. they failed to pass info via any means for days, when they are able to call, send e-chat and upgrade status within 10minute

can you please share that email.. i am having a similar problem

It depends on ur centre. Did mine in ibadan last month. My speaking was scheduled for 2pm. I arrived at the centre around 10am and was attended to 30mins later.

From Ojota or Ikeja, take a bus to Ojuelegba and den fro Ojuelegba, take a bus to Ijora/Costain and stop at either Costain or Brewery bus-stop. Natinal Theatre is just to your left across the road beside Covenant Christian Centre.

In filling the ielts registration form, there is a place that asks for the highest level of education of the candidate, i dnt wanna put my masters cos i intend using the result to apply for another masters program, i hope it doesn't affect anything if i just fill in that i have an undergraduate degree as the highest level of qualification. Gurus in the house, please assist.

Thanks Giov. Infact after doing extensive research in the last two days, I have discovered that my IELTS result is more than perfect for another purpose similar to what I initially intended to use it for, Just a different country. I just have to redirect my plans. I've been having serious doubts about U.K anyways. I think I'm gonna be fine.
