..........And your take is a good one Sir. Very good indeed. *smiles*

Obafemi Martins deserves another call-up to the Super Eagles. The 14-goal hitman can't seem to stop painting the MLS red, pink, purple and black with goals. We could make do with such consistency and experience added to the young super talents coming through-(Oliseh better go after Dele Alli, Dominic Iorfa and Moses Odubajo NOW. And he better prepare Nacho's and Success' invitation letters for the next international breaks after the october friendlies. The likes of Awoniyi, Musa M, Savior G, Yahaya, Ndidi and co can come much later)- in addition to the established stars of the team(mikel, moses, musa, enyeama, omeruo-he's injured rite now but will be back soon- and a few others).

If Martins fails(I doubt he will) then we move on........ We are spoilt for choice in all departments BUT OLISEH MUST KEEP SPREADING HIS DRAGNET AND EXPANDING HIS "EAGLE-EYED" RADAR.......

BREAKING NEWS: OLISEH CALLS UP AMBROSE EFE TO REPLACE INJURED KENNETH OMERUO FOR THE OCTOBER FRIENDLIES. HE'S BEEN CALLED UP NOT AS A RIGHT-BACK BUT AS A CENTRE-BACK/CENTRAL DEFENDER.

Naturally Efe Ambrose is a Centre defensive player , but Stephen Keshi converted him tp a wing back cos no one could fit in into that position .
But I like the cohesiveness in the back line in our last match , I hope they keep improving .

Are the other team managers that trained in Australia with Similar weather to New Zealand German Citizens?

If Manu Garba did not mention that he was going to Germany a place with Similar weather to New Zealand, then I will use lack of knowledge as an excuse for him.

But, he used the term Similar weather. That was a lie. If the researched similar weather to New Zealand, Germany would have not been the destination. They researched and chose a totally different weather.

When he arrived there and he noticed an unfamiliar weather, he should have given room for players who have played in winter conditions. Instead he benched them. Please, I am trying to forget but it is not easy.

So was it in Manu's contract to be an international weather analyst?
Look it had been until one of u guys pointed out that it was summer in Germany that even I knew, before that u could have told me Germany didn't have a summer. I feel he was ignorant i don't think he tried to mislead people. If u look back we used the same routine in 2013 same Germany same teams so it was a simple case of the Nff misleading him and keeping their cost low. It is not so easy to get visas, 2 other countries were denied, Senegal and Mali who people bashed for not training in "cold" weather made it farther than say Ghana who prepared perfectly. If your theory is correct we should only invite local players to play for the super eagles because most their games are in Africa. He played the players he wanted because he can, it was his team. I know in my heart if we had beat Germany at some point Iheanacho would have played again but as for that game he chose to go believe in the players on the field.
Losing that match was the best thing to have happened mark my words that loss will push these boys to heights even we didn't imagine. Sacking Manu would be the worst thing to happen to Nigerian football, the man can smell talent a mile away, how do you sack such a person?

The issue here is the NFF and not Oliseh, Keshi, Manu or any coach. The coach is just an employee and the employee is required to do as his employer says. It's a no-brainer why all the wrong people make the team. Oliseh was talking tough before cuz he wasn't aware of all the rot in the NFF, he thought the coaches were actually solely responsible for picking players. To some extent I don't even blame Manu, cuz the only reason why a coach who had taken a team to win the U-17 WC and the AYC is cuz of instructions. The U-20 WC was a bigger stage, you can take anyone to the U-17 cuz scouts rarely go for kids, but the U-20 is where the scouts are at. NFF wanted their boys to shine, unfortunately things didn't go as planned. Apparently, SUCCESS and IHEANACHO are NOT NFF boys
well said ma'am... That's is d reason y d nff will always go for foreign carpenters, bricklayers etc knowing fully well that worldclass coaches(FIFA grade A licenced) will never trade their integrity n fame to d dictatorship of d sport-politians @ d glass house. Nigeria: Rio 2016 - Siasia Ponders London Camp for Nigeria

By Olawale Ajimotokan
Abuja — Dream Team VI coach Samson Siasia has tabled a proposal to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to camp the team in London for the African U23 Championship in Senegal, where the continent's three qualifiers for the football event at 2016 Olympic Games in Rio will emerge.
Nigeria is one of the eight countries that will be contending for the slots at the Africa U23 tournament that hold from November 28- December 12.
The team that won a bonze medal at the recent African Games in Congo, will jostle with Egypt, Mali and Algeria in London the Mbour centre in Group B.
The two group winners automatically qualify for the Olympic Games, while the losing semi finalists will battle for the continent's last slot. An authoritative source at the NFF told THISDAY Sports last night that Siasia requested the team to camp in London because of its central location.
Siasia was the gaffer when Nigeria won a silver medal at Beijing 2008. However, the former international striker, aiming to leave no stone unturned to ensure Nigeria berths Rio 2016, believes it will be much easier to assemble all the foreign-based players he requires for the African tournament in London.
Though NFF Secretary General Mohammed Sanusi, confirmed the federation's intention to send the team on a foreign training tour before the U23 continental championship, he said they were yet to finalise the location and other arrangements.
"Truly we are considering a foreign tour for the U23 side to give them the best preparation before they go to Senegal. but we will like to put our plans under wraps," Sanusi said.
In the event NFF rejects Siasia's request, it might alternatively consider a training camp of Faro , Portugal where Nigeria has traditionally prepared its teams before major football tournaments.

Akpom: Hull City will be better

Akpom says Hull City will get better
Nigerian-born striker Chuba Akpom has told fans of Hull City they should expect a better team going forward.
Hull City got a point off Blackburn Rovers at the weekend, but the on-loan Arsenal striker said he believes they deserved a better result than that.
"We're gutted we are fourth. We should be higher. There have been a few frustrating games. Our main aim is to get promotion this season,” Akpom told Hull Daily Mail.
“This team are fourth and we haven't played our best football yet. We are still learning from our mistakes but we will click. The best is yet to come from us.
"The little things need sorting out. Sometimes we lack concentration. For example, the set-piece that we conceded could have been avoided. We can only learn from that. I am sure we will analyse it at training and learn from it. And try to improve. We are not far away.
“Every game will see us get better. We haven't played as well as we can. We have potential Premier League players here.
"We were looking to grind it out once ahead. Conceding like that was frustrating but we look to the next game. They (senior players) are still encouraging us. We now look to the next game.”

Agent Reacts To Rijeka FLOP Theophilus Solomon PSG Rumours

Jairo Pachon, who represents Rijeka flop Theophilus Solomon, has claimed that the striker has not been playing in the Croatian Prva HNL due to injury.
The 19 - year - old last suited up for Zadar, where he is playing on loan until the end of the season, exactly two months ago.
According to Mohammed Suleiman, the player’s guardian, who also owns the grassroots team that nurtured him, Solomon could be heading to Ligue 1 moneybags PSG come this summer.
But Solomon’s bonafide agent, Jairo Pachon, has stated that his future will only be decided at the end of this season, saying it’s too early to talk about the transfer window when the market is closed.
“Solomon was injured before but he is now okay. He will play the next game.
“In the summer, we will be able to talk about his future, the window is not yet open, ” said Pachon toa llnigeriasoccer.com.
Regarding reports suggesting Solomon will represent Croatia at the European Under 19s, the fact is he can not sport the colours of their national team until he clocks 23 years based on Fifa rules.
Therefore, the striker, who has started ONLY three games this season, has to wait for Nigeria to make a move for the time being.

Celtic Tracking Aalesund Forward Leke James

Scottish champions Celtic, who are in the market for a striker, are mulling over a move for Aalesund marksman Leke James.
The 22 - year - old was scouted during a league game between Aalesund and Tromso on Sunday and it is thought that he impressed, though he did not add to his goal tally in the league.
With Leke James’s contract with the Norwegian club set to expire in December 31,2016, he would be allowed to leave the Color Line Stadium outfit in the January transfer window if the offer is good.
In their bid to lure the attacker to Scotland, Celtic face competition from clubs based in China, Russia, Turkey, Israel, Holland and Germany.
Leke James is represented by a London - based intermediary, who has brought several international stars to the English Premier League.

Why do our football system find it so difficult to breed good midfielders? Its always attackers; we have so many average strikers scattered all over the world, but when it comes to good midfielders, we hardly produce.

If our coaches can leave out bias, we have a player who can become great. Obinna Nwobodo. I hope the coaches give him a chance with the U23.

Imagine Obiora Nwankwo that Coach Keshi dropped at the AFCON, resurfacing in Oliseh's squad. A player playing in the lower league of Portugal.

The same boy Siasia used to bench Ibrahim Rabiu at the U20 World Cup. When Siasia gave Rabiu a chance, Rabiu scored and Siasia punished him for scoring by benching him immediately after the goal.

Oliseh is jonsing.

It was just a youth tournament no excuses needed and it wasn't so painfull to me i was just mad i stayed home and we lost but something strange happened, life went on. I am not defending him I am simply shedding light on the way i feel about the situation. Sorry if saying a man deserves one single chance at redemption gets you annoyed.

Hey guys Happy Independence. But I'm here to drop a news that just came in on twitter.
Dele Alli has been officially called up by Roy Hodgson to the Three lions squad ahead of their Euro qualifiers against Estonia and Lithuania......

It's breaking news that's why no media house has picked it up just yet. Well, I personally wanted an Alli added to our pool of talents for the u-23(olympics proper) and Super Eagles but it looks no longer possible unless Alli turns down the invitation (which is highly unlikely).

The funny thing is Several english fans are crying foul over the overlook of Alli's tottenham teammate, Eric Dier but recognising (several doing so reluctantly) that Alli merits his place in the three lions squad.

So uhm...... The English are obviously out to "harvest" all our talents huh? Well, wishing Alli all the best. I think he may have a future with England because of his class and precocious talent. Not like some "good but not spectacular" talents of part Nigerian origin waiting for English call-ups.

As for Nigeria, well I'm glad we still have a couple of top talents rising in that position in midfield. Hope Oliseh spots them sooner.
Alli operates as a dmf or a Central midfielder so examples of such talents coming through for Nigeria include Ifeanyi Matthew(cmf), Akinjide Idowu(dmf and cmf), Usman Mohammed(cmf), Alfa Abdullahi(cmf and dmf), Anderson Esiti(dmf), Chidiebere Nwakali(cmf and dmf), among very few others.

*Hodgson happy to welcome ´exciting talent´ Alli
1 October 2015 14:32
England boss Roy Hodgson has described Dele Alli as "an exciting talent" after he handed the Tottenham man a first senior call-up to the England squad.
The 19-year-old midfielder only made his debut for the Under-21s last month but has been rewarded for his form for Mauricio Pochettino's side so far this season.
Liverpool striker Danny Ings has also been given a spot after an encouraging start to his Anfield career, while team-mate Daniel Sturridge is left out despite his two goals in the win over Aston Villa.
With England having already qualified for the Euro 2016 finals, Hodgson believes the final two games with Estonia and Lithuania represent the perfect chance for the new boys to impress.
"Danny is someone we followed with the Under-21s last year and this was a good opportunity to bring him in after he was scoring goals for Liverpool," he said.
"Dele is the more offbeat one because he is so young but we have been impressed by what we have seen of him, he's an exciting talent.
"We think it's better for Daniel Sturridge to concentrate on what is essentially a pre-season with Liverpool. We hope to see a player in good form next month.
"Where we have been hit harder is in midfield, with a number of players missing in that area. Adam Lallana's return is good news.
"The game in Lithuania is where we will possibly experiment a little more. But we want to win both games and finish with a perfect record."
Hodgson admitted the double leg fracture suffered by Luke Shaw was "cruel" with the Manchester United man unlikely to return to action until March at the earliest.
"Luke knows how much we care about him and we had really high hopes for him in 2016 being our left-back. It's a cruel blow," he said.
Aston Villa rising star Jack Grealish pledged his international future to England this week, though he remains ineligible to play for the senior side at present.
Hodgson has now urged the 20-year-old to continue to impress at club level in order to secure a place in the set-up.
"I am very pleased. I think it is the right decision. He is English, albeit with distant Irish roots. I think he has the talent to become an England player," Hodgson added.
"I was happy he took the bolder decision and what matters now is how he does for Villa. He is aware of that. I was keen to point out that there were no guarantees for him with England."*

I was keen to point out that there were no guarantees for him with England."*
hmmm... Going n going, we don de loose them little by little... I don't even know what oliseh n d nff are doing? I just hope hogson don't feature him
let him go. How many do you guys want? Is it that we don't have his type in Nigeria? Una never tire to dey snatch players wey England don groom finish? Nobody is stealing naija players because Nigeria never contributed to their growth as players, it just happened to be a Nigerian that donated sp3rm to birth them, but that's not enough to tag them 'our players'

IN OTHER NEWS: Iheanacho is "UP AND RUNNING" again. He's back!!!!!!!!!!! But it's up to the Man city medical staff and Coach Pellegrini to decide if he will make the 18-man match day squad for tomorrow or whether he'll be further rested. I saw this news in the early afternoon yesterday but I decided to hold unto it till today......... The "Alien kid" is BACK!!!!!!!

safarigirl:
if your daddy is not English, you have no future with England even if you're Messi. Please tell how many non-English guys have made it with England, or were they all mediocre? Anyway, Dele was never under our radar, so e no consign me

There's talk of Iheanacho going on loan in January to a Premier league club(supposedly). So, assuming there's truth to it, where do you guys suggest?

For me a loan move is a bad move at this stage in his career.. One full season with the ManCity squad will do him much good after which he may chose to go on a loan if it becomes necessary..

ANYWAY FOLKS, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY AGAIN. HAVE IT SWELL TODAY........ *smiles*

Well, the best players to ever represent Nigeria were neither English born nor tutored.

What happened to the likes of Efan Ekoku,Victor Anichebe, Sone Aluko, Shola Ameobi and Voctor Moses? These were English born/raised players that we held in high hopes but they turned out average or some below Average (though I still see some little prospects in Victor Moses).

England can take Dele Alli for all we care. We have enough talents within that age bracket.
