You keep putting so much effort to mask your ignorance. For the umpteenth time, why did the demolition date shift backward suddenly from oct4 to oct1? The contention here is about the date shifting and not necessarily the demolition, or are you blind to notice?

The iddiots are already giving you the likes while they laugh heartily wherever they are at your idiocy and probably calling you a 'learner' or 'correct guy' who wants to be more Nigerian than the 'N' in 'naira'.

Sorry!
I'm sorry dear, I'm not a paranoid person. And above all, I'm not a tribalist.

I hope Lagos State consulted properly and done good enough econometrics. Ambition is one thing, hubris is another. Obviously, there's evidence that an earlier demolition and reconstruction never really got to take off as expected. It's people who make the money, pay tax, they re the market. How you treat these people is part of corporate governance. It's very easy to lose everything just like that. Lagos as economically vibrant as its should never take even the littlest things for granted. I hope this is for all good. Just take a look at Birmingham; what it's now and what it used to be!

cool Hey amala-eater so you are telling your tribesmen to be MORE righteous than their enemies - you are a FOOL. I usually don't agree with amala -politics but in this case I support what they are doing. How can you go to another man's land and call it 'a no man's land?' The flattheads dug their own grave -truth is bitter but alas it is still truth.

Your comment is duely noted it is a pity common sense is not common these days. So I totally understand where you stand.

Now that this has happened. I command, let motor spare parts spring forth in all angles in Lagos and environs. Sometimes, we need to decentralised our markets to widen the prospect of that particular business. I'm thinking of having a mini-auto spare parts market @ Atan Ota in Ado-Odo/Ota local govt.
Do you know that people travel from as far as the D.R Congo,Gabon, Ghana & Cameroun to buy motor parts at Nnewi? The earlier people like you start thinking of East the better for us all.

In as much as I wouldn't want to be involved in this tribal war, let me correct you on this particular statement with an experience I had in 2006. I was born and grew up in Aba before moving back to Lagos.

I was posted to Eleme Rivers State for my NYSC in 2006 and there I met Onyinye, a pretty Igbo lady from Orlu l.g.a Abia state.

We visited her Uncle during one of the holidays and he asked for my state of origin. He was SHOCKED when I told him that I am from Epe l.g.a, Lagos state. The next word he uttered was: I THOUGHT LAGOS IS NO MANS LAND, HOW COME YOU ARE FROM LAGOS.

I felt insulted and embarrassed that my would be in-law is calling my ancestral home a NO MANS LAND. That was the beginning of the end of the relationship.

Oga, why am I finding it hard to believe this your story?
You said you met a beautiful wife who hails from Orlu in Abia state. Coincidentally my maternal home happens to be Orlu and last time I checked, it wasn't in abia state... Imo state rather. Did your fiancee lie to you then or did you just cook up this story to paint the igbo ethnicity as disrespectful like you guys have been doing?

Let's just assume your "father in-law to be" made such remark; should the remark of ONE man be used in hypothetical terms to state that a tribe with population of over 10m people see things the same way. What if I tell you your "father in-law to be" then was only trying to be funny? That's if your story is true. Read from the perspective of the outside world devoid of tribal sentiments and you will see what I mean.

Absolutely! Me think is either he made the story up or he is just ignorant.

I mean, even if the so called in law meant it, does that mean he can't change his views? Besides what the in law thinks about lagos has nothing to do with him marrying the so made up beautiful girl. Finally, i definitely believe this absurd story is all in his imagination.

Igbos have over 40 markets in Lagos so demolition of one of them does not mean anything. Even wen the ladipo market is rebuilt, only igbos have the funding, manpower, contactn brains to run those shops n businesses, no Yoruba man can own a shop there.

Mind u that igbos didn't lose anything in that market...We have recovered every single dime we put in there n we also raked in endless profits from it over the decades. Chill men, Lagos is no man's land.

Again i say keep on in your fantasy.
Fools don't learn from history which is why they tend to repeat the mistakes of the past.
You ibos are fools of the highest order.
If you fail to learn from PH which is in your backyard, then one can safely assume you will never learn.

Part of your stupidity is gloating that you have over 40 markets in Lagos as if those markets are owned by you.
You are so silly to talk as if the markets will be allocated by ibos, huh?
Keep on dreaming.
By the time you get to know what stuff Yorubas are made of, it will be too late for you.
Whatever land you buy in the SW is on leasehold in case fools don't know. Chew on that.
I've warned you and i repeat, when the chips are down and the bubble bursts, and which MUST be, be ready to load your purported "properties" on your Njikoka wagons.
This is something neither the ICC nor the UN, your usual hope, can do anything about.
The undercurrent dynamics in Nigeria leaves no option than for everyone to answer the names of his father eventually.
As far as the Yoruba are concerned, wailers, dreamers and those hoping in hopelessness are welcome in the meantime.

Una don finish? Unu Okwuchago?
Nnu akachalla according to Owerri dialect? Onu okwuriala - Orlu dialect?

My prayers are: let Lagos state government rebuild this Ladipo market, rent the stalls to only non-Igbos.

If you sell specific goods, no matter where the market is located, people from all over shall come there to buy the goods. Ochanga, Ariaria. Ogbete, Orlu international - all these modern markets in the SE must expand.
